I remember my chongyun getting bodied repeatedly by the spinning attack and missiles
I remember when I saw Ruin Guard for the first time on the archon quest, I stopped playing Genshin for a month until my sister finally convinced me to do it, though I didn't even play it, I forced my sister to do it for me, then I was just like "wow it's actually not that hard". Ah the good old days.
First time i found a ruin guard i recklessly challenged. And in that time, i don't know how to build artifacts and weapons. I realised I was only doing 20 damage so i ate alot of attack boosting dishes. I was still only doing 22 damage and barely critting. It didn't end there tho cos i just used all of my healing dishes until this guy was dead
This will be nostalgic once Snezhnaya is unlocked. Even now, when we just have 3 regions, it feels nostalgic

I miss being a dumb traveller walking around in Mondstadt and admiring everything while listening to the music in windrise. The first time i heard that beautiful and nostalgic song back in 1.0 i said to myself it would hit so freaking hard sooner or later. And when i keep hearing that OST i immediately stop and relax until it ends. From an inexperienced traveller to a traveller that almost 100% every nation without a location below 95% exploration progress. Damn I'm gonna cry

@@mateosplayroom7063 Lmaoo same, my Inazuma's all 100% and Enkanomiya 94%(no chest left lol, no actually, no chest seen by me anymore) Mondstadt all 100%, and Liyue all 100% exept the Dihua Marsh area(99%) and the Mingyun Village area(97%) there's no chest seen anymore help
I'm ar57 and yea I liked doing that in liyue a lot, when I was climbing all the mountains with the birds on top, and listening to the music was fun.
Even as an AR 35, I am still being a dumb traveler walking around in mondstadt and admiring everything

Honestly, back when I had started Genshin Impact, I didn't really understand the use of Resins. Also, I have done a lot of World Quests (both in Liyue and Mondstadt) without even knowing lol.
I miss those days man, no broken DPS (except Diluc), no complex team comps just us using our favourite characters. Back then, I had used Razor, Bennet, Traveller and Zhong (I pulled him on the first banner so yeah)
i mean you can still do it. all these videos about one shotting bosses with bennet and mona its like. okay and? i have my team. im running a normal attack xiao with a c6 yunjin, raiden shogun, jean. compared to hiis pogo stick gameplay its dog water but man is it way more fun having that ATK SPD and ATK DMG buff from yunjin and raidens skill going off every few autos

@@toastbread2263 Basically, for DPS characters you mostly require Crit Rate and Crit DMG artifacts, other categories do not necessarily follow this criteria.
So, to get the artifacts which give us the highest crit rate and crit DMG possible, we do domains. The other uses are for Ley Lines blossom.
It is not a matter of issue if you are not reliant on only 1 character as your dps though.

@@glistica well back then it didn’t matter cuz it would group everyone artifacts if I recall correctly. I could be wrong tho cuz it’s been a while, but I think some ppl did that to troll or something
remember when the unreconciled stars event made you use resin to claim rewards? it's the time when i used all my 11 fragiles when the game prompted me that i can't claim rewards due to low resin. i didn't know much of the game's functions so i just sat there with capped resin for weeks. truly good times
i remember the event make me suffer. my friend brag about Mona and collected all the fragments within her 10min. meanwhile it takes me 2 hrs.
The endora event too, to be fair it does gave us so much more hero's wits tho

@@oh-noe processor is important too. Only flagship mobiles can run it smooth. Even my potato laptop is dying to breath lol
@@billa_ackerman.exe. flagship phones don't run it that smooth. Every phone has a massive cooling problem so extended play ruins performance. But it's still perfectly playable on alot is phones.
But my point above was that performance will likely not worsen with more regions. Hyv will of course add lod, so performance will stay relatively the same
Pc is the best device to play genshin on highest setting without burning but it’s required some room spaces which my house don’t have.
Laptop is second choice but it’s kinda expensive, kinda burn and heavy to carry around.
A gaming phone is the last choice, super expensive, have limited storage, burn like the sun within 15mins, highest setting equal pc normal setting, android didn’t even have controller support so fighting is a pain, but it’s mobile and you can play it everywhere and anytime

Prototype weapons used to have a different name back then. You also had a chance to obtain them right away at launch by participating in Genshin’s pre-release event.
Woah, started game the week it launched and never heard about that event. Also yea the names were:
starglitter = grudge
Archaic = aminus
Amber = malice
(Don’t rmb if rancour and crescent were changed)
I also remember some abilities were renamed, eg kaeyas A4 passive used to be “heart of the abyss” and fischls A4 passive used to be “lightning smite”
My team back during 1.0 was just traveler, razor, amber, and noelle.
Now I have Diona, Klee, Kazuha, and Diluc(just to look pretty)

I will never forget when I saw Barbara as an "S" tier
Genshin was my first game of the kind, so, for me, "S" tier = she does damage
In my head, she was good bc she could damage and heal a lot
Until AR 30, I was a Barbara main, then I got Hu Tao and I finally realized that Barbara was not a good dps

anyway i still use her (im ar59) shes my fav healer
so js play the chara u like hahah flw guides only if u want a quick way to improve but it does not necessarily mean u will be happy playing the characters they recommend

My brother introduced me to genshin impact way back september 2020
He eventually quit the game because he didnt get klee, I also quited as well
Then in August 2021, I came back and made a new account
And now I am a lazy ar 45 genshin player

It‘s honestly insane for what a long period of time I‘ve already played this game. There are so many precious memories, or patches where everyone wanted more resin to be possible, or the old weekly challenges for the BP…

ahh yes. Nostalgia. Especially for a Returner like me. I quitted Genshin for about 6 months bcoz I didn't get zhongli in both his first time release and his 1st rerun. I returned two or three month ago during Albedo and Eula rerun and I was shock by that double banner.

I remember that co-op event! I remember nothing about it, but I remember we fought ruin guards in thousand winds temple and got rewards. Also not only Mona’s door, but the entrance to Sal Terre. And the Jade Chamber. Very mysterious since there was no way to access them.
Nostalgia and Past torture hitting me like a Bullet train but the Driver is high.
1:38 i wish there would be more world levels, as someone who is in end game it feels kinda boring one-shotting enemies

Fischl used to shred bosses in seconds, QiQi was heralded as the best healer/support, Venti was the king of domains and abyss... Simpler times.

I still main Diluc to this day and never fails to carry me with a 36* in spiral abyss.

I have a C3 Diluc cuz I kept on getting him in Standard banner. Haha.
I also have Diluc with his WGS! I don't know why he uses electro and talks about dry land all the time.

All I want is one Diluc and I get Qiqi, Keqing and a C1 Zhongli. I'm not mad cuz I really wanted Zhongli but I also want Diluc.
And when you travel past the Stone Gate, you discover a whole new area to explore (Liyue). It was epic moment.
I'm crying because I can't believe how much time has passed and so many changes have happened
Back then I use Diluc, Fischl, Bennet and Barbara, but now only Diluc and Bennet stay. I remember people been saying Bennet is a budget Diluc or walmart Diluc but as soon as I read his kit, he made me realize that he's good with his support capabilities. He also my first ever character that I got to rank 10 friendship, stan for Bennet. I also remember my first ever event, the Elemental Crucible where I saw people been spamming for Adventure Rank EXP and where I used my fragile too back then.
As a mondstadter player, I never forget how big the beta tornado is when it was "Stormterror Quest".
Since the release the Chasm is still yet to be released. Even before Azdaha, I've always wondered what the Chasm would like. Can't wait to see it in 2.6!
monas door is still around for characters who havent done her quest along with the broken swords

But yet on my first ever acc and on my new (main) acc i got early 5stars from noelle banner.
On 1st acc i got mona and on main acc i got jean. (And then got mona on standard(mona is haunting me.))
I remember when I wanted to have one of each element in my team so when I got Keqing and Chongyun in my first pull I replaced Kaeya and Lisa. First team was Traveler, Amber, Chongyun and Keqing. Now I use Keqing, Beidou, Kokomi and Venti.
As someone who played since launch but didn't get to play frequently until attaining a better device to/having more time cause of uni...... the very beginnings feel so nostalgia yet so fuzzy, and now that the way the game works is for the most part just shoved into your skull, it's hard to have a new account to start fresh for funsies, cause you get the nostalgia to an extent, but having to grind through all of the oculi or just it not really feeling new can kinda ruin it (imo anyway). But we've come so far and been through so much, I wouldn't trade it for the world haha. It can feel a lil overwhelming to have so many characters out and so much to build, but the flexibility of it all means you can vary your teams indefinitely, and I love being able to switch things up 🙌🏻

I started playing this game since March 22nd, 2021.
At the beginning I used the 4 original characters (Myself, Amber, Lisa, Kaeya) as my main team, but now...
Raiden Xiangling Mona Zhongli
I remember that I thought the seal at mona’s laboratory and the one at Sal terrae were connected in some sort of strange way.
Also I loved the furnace event even using razor, the first four star I got.
genshin is, and always will be a world i lived in, and one ive wished to live in.
my heart feels full when i experience things in this game.
The "collect 100 from both mondstadt and liyue" *shudder* i dont miss that 1 bit but took me a week to realise it was no longer a task
a few years from now it'd be like:
"man do you remember the archipelago? those good ol days"
unless mhy decides to rerun the islands (please do)
oh and those times when Venti mains troll you by using their ult to succ drops

In the elemental Crucible, I 0layed the event for awhile, and had a friend that mained Fischl, we were retrying the event til we get the high score while the other 2 leaves because they were done, and good god we were so happy when we got the fastest clear, sadly we didn't get to add each other...
To this day, Even if you're not playing anymore and if you happen to read this, you were my first friend inside the game
remember how when you finished an artifacts or talent book domain and even ley lines and when you click to collect the rewards the items will be dropped hell i remember one person having an artifact fly off the ledge
I got Eula, Keqing, Diluc, Qiqi, and Ayaka on my rerolled acc, still AR 27😆

1) This immediately hit me hard. I'm so glad they upgraded the resin cap.
2) I never rerolled any account, so my current account has always been my only account :3
3) Oh my gosh I remember these (except Crown of Sagehood).
4) I never knew how to build until some time late last year.
5) My 1.0 team was Noelle, Kaeya, Traveler, and either Amber or Lisa for exploration purposes (mostly Amber; Noelle was both my shield and healer so I had a much more flexible team comp). My current team changes sometimes based on what is necessary, but my ideal main team is Zhongli, Qiqi, Kazuha, and Xiao. I have Ayato guaranteed so I can't wait to make a team comp for him, too ;3
6) I remember AR trap. It was very hard for me to level up stuff, had to constantly test which characters I wanted to level up.
7) I don't remember Xiao or Ayaka being free lol, but I do remember Scaramouche and Signora rip-
8) I never got to do that event because my phone kept crashing, so I had to go on a hiatus during that update. I came back some time around when Ganyu was out. But I do remember the BP collection challenges.
9) Mona's door was super pretty back then, now that the charm is off there is nothing going on with the door and now it's just a normal door... The birds! The broken sword quest! I remember them vaguely (as in I remember doing them but not necessarily all the details behind it).
10) I wasn't here for the Dragonspine hype, but I was here for the Inazuma hype :3

ah september 2020,when i got covid, with the symptoms i had never have in my life, playing genshin was the most exciting thing that made me forget about my illness

i remember being excited for ayaka and cyno, ayaka's character wasn't close too being out yet, and alot of beta leaks were curculating on the internet
The AR trap is real. I remember ascending just to get the 2 fates and regretted it because every enemy's level are red and it took about a min to kill an enemy. So I quitted and when I finally came back, nothing's changed lol and just lowered the world lvl.
I don't play this game anymore because I don't like it's play style but man, the experiences I had playing this game is my treasure honestly, every time people tell about how Genshin was good in the release and I get the nostalgia when I used to play with random people and had a lot of fun. Ty mihoyo for the music, and the Memories ❤️

This gave me a wave of nostalgia. I wasn't there for 1.0, I started playing in 1.2, during the first Lantern Rite with the Xiao banner. I still remember the regional specialties for the BP, and though I'm glad they decided to replace it, part of me misses it.
Can't say since I didn't really did Co-OP back then, but I mostly remember that the highest artifacts we can get back then was 4*
Scaramouche is now playable as Wanderer.
I hate the bp quest about collecting the specialties back then, cuz I rarely explore the map, and now i just realize this quest is gone....

Honestly the beauty of the world in early game was what drew me in. It's still beautiful now, and even more coming, but things got a lot harsher and there's a lot more grinding going on too. I wish it could just be like early game again...

I'm a relatively new Genshin player, I only started playing around Nov 2021. I remember first exploring Mondstadt and being like "OOH IS THIS SOME MAGIC WATER SIGIL" bc it looked so ominous and it said smth like "Cannot explore this now, unlock domain later smth smth higher AR level". Yeah. Now I have the Failed to Check Updates problem and I'm lazy to go fix it lol.
I started playing on 1.3, I remember you can only have 3 condensed resins, the regions specialities for BP, etc
Honestly it feels like you're someone who were born in late 90s - early 2000s, you can still relate and remember the trend from 1980-1990s

I don’t count myself as an old genshin player since I only did the first part of the liyue archon quest then abandoned the game, but I saw all these guides like “get diluc!! one of the best dps in game” and fischl being everywhere in the guides. also right after signoras appearance is everyone said “signora is a cryo catalyst” as well as the leaks of current characters

My team in 1.0 used to have venti , aether , amber , fischl

so when i first played genshin impact i was excited but confused at the same time but i didn't know there was red xiao when there was bete out and it still confused me to this day😅
unfortunately wasnt there when genshin first had their global release cause i couldnt download it ANYWHERE at all, but i started playing 3 days before kazuha's banner ended and everything was just so magical and mysterious to me. i wouldnt skip voice lines, i would collect every single thing i saw, and was just amazed about everything. i dont have that child-like wonder about the game anymore, but sometimes, its just good to visit the old places you used to visit a lot when you first played the game. i just hit AR 55 a few days ago and now im like "damn, its been that long already??? man..." im def playing the game till the end. despite all the wacky shit and toxic community, genshin is a good game, and its fun, you can play it however you want. i play for the story and for the characters. cant wait till we get all the other nations and go "damn remember when we were all complaining about how difficult inazuma was?".

Ahh, the good old days where i don't understand what talent, artifacts, resins, and DPS builds are. Wandering around in Mondstadt and Liyue to activate teleports and opening the map, also to find some secrets.
