The reason why Bennett was underrated back in 1.0 was because everyone sent him on expeditions in Monatadt

We're not getting ayaka, something they should introduce is weapon merging, like merging 4 "4*" swords for a "5*" sword

Qiqi is still good imo. They just love to force how people play the game when everyone has different style to play it.
Edit: Somebody is salty down there. I'll make it clear from my perspective since I think there's misunderstanding, 'by forcing' I mean you can find comments about how people love some of these most hated characters just because they're not meta, then there's always people that reply by arguing using their favourite is useless or trash when people is talking about using their favourite while not caring about their abilities that much.
To OP, I'm sorry if I'm kinda hurt you with my comments, it just comes to my mind about Qiqi since everyone seems hating her for her only ability is healing. Jean also getting hate during v1.0 but now people seems to appreciate her so much since she's a balance character to play in term of dps and healing.

After all it's pve game, every character is good, you can even main Barbara if you like.
Yes its a pve game but that doesn't mean every character is good. Sure, every character can be good with investments but some just takes more investment to be good. So in reality, there will always be good and lower tier characters.
i remember in venti's banner i wanted him, did a 10 pull, got razor and thought "well that's a character, it's not venti but ok" and was amazed by his idle animation 😭

I remember thinking where else could i possibly get primogems cuz i wanted Venti so bad but he'll be gone within 21 hours so i just pulled my way one by one and in the end i got him. Screamed so hard the neighbor's dogs started howling.

I remember i was so happy to get qiqi, cause she was my first 5* carachter, she was cute she heals and she shined gold xD
I just feel like we were a lot more excited. People were documenting every quest, achievement, new discovery on the map, theories, there were tons of tutorials, everyone was just genuinely curious about every single mechanic of the game. I remeber people jumping over domain walls with Keqing and Geo traveler just to see what's there. When the game started, I used to think whole day about what was going to be in the new ruins, what Keya was going to tell me,.. I was just too excited to even wait till the end of school. And also.. I was frightened everytime I saw a Ruin Guard XD
I was scared of ruin guards for months back then because of the first mission we met them XD

The only thing I regret is missing the fischl scara and mona event and albedo event. I started playing on his banner but didnt know the event was limited....

The lantern rite event actually gave me great moments because that was during the period of Chinese New Year, and as a Malaysian Chinese who was unable to go out celebrating and visiting relatives due to the pandemic, it gave me at least some Festive-feeling that I couldn't really feel from the reality

The funny thing is most ppl didn't realize it was only client side with the artifacts falling off, so if you we're to fall off you'd get teleported to the start of the domain and the artifacts will teleport back infront of the tree

The event with Scaramouche should be a permanent main storyline event. It’s so important to the story. I get not keeping it in place with the free Fishl, but they should have kept the story there after the event was over. It sucks that to get the full context you have to find it on UA-cam instead of experiencing it yourself.
yeah and considering in inazuma we see scaramouche again and the traveler's like "you again!" or sumn like that,,,, new players were probably so confused 😭😭
Bro I started at the end of Taraglia's banner and I was so upset about the amount of lore I missed in each event

I personally think latern rite event was the most magical and festive, we got free 4 star characters, the mini games was fun, got to meet xiao, and finally released our lanters together at the end. I miss it.
The event itself was boring but it definitely brought the most memory for me. Thats when I started playing with friends, when i started understanding the game, got my first dps 5 star which is Xiao and took so many pics wuth my friends.... good old times...

As a 1.0 player, I want to metion some of these things not included in the video (1.0 - 1.2)
1. Childe's boss fight was "very hard" originally because of the second phases dash attack and plunge attack would trap and insta kill your character
This led to him getting nerfed about a week after release
2. People claimed that childe sucked and skipped him
3. Many people claimed that Zhongli sucked and needed a buff because they didn't realize / didn't like that Zhongli was a support and not a dps (this was before the sheild meta)
This led to the beautiful period of us getting many freemogems from Mihoyo "fixing" him
4. Events, (specifically the fischl event), made you spend resin to get the rewards (rip my fragile resin)
Also I remember before the strange hillichurl came out that rumors were spreading that there was a new mob thats drops primogems after killing it coming out in a upcoming update
Lol I remember this as 1.0 player and about the wei dropping primo thing but never saw any primos dropped from them and back in when childe was the hardest boss I wasn't advanced enough in the game to actually have fought pre nerfed childe but yeah now I am pretty nostalgic

I really remember/miss the small mistakes MHY has done when designing the world. There was a small area of Dragonspine where you can reach out to and clip inside the mountains, and a missing rock in Stormbearer Point that allows you to go underneath the water level and run free to the secret island or wherever the giant sea would let you go.

I remember that iron gate in the thousand winds temple that you could clip through and walk in an out-of-bounds hallway. I don't know if that was patched, but i'm assuming that it was

The part i miss the most was playing with all my friends, most of them quit the game and it feels sort of empty and sad to revisit some of the earlier places in the map and remember the stuff we used to do, it was a lot of fun

Unfortunatly, she just didnt scale well end game. Diluc is still a fine unga bunga dps, but powercrept.
I still dont use them, although im getting interested in using xinqiu. I remember his CD for E looked soo uninteresting, and bennet, well, i just never was interested. But maybe i will give them a shot sometime.
@@slampest true, she is a good dps and a great healer, the only problem on her is the cooldown and energy problems, thats why she is now in low rank tier, but at the time i can see why it wasnt a problem, i mean, at the time the tier list should have been done thinking about the game in general and not the abyss (or because abyss was made at the time for those first caracthers to shine) witch is where her bad sides show off more :,)
I see 0 problems in diluc actually, i think he is still a fantastic dps, the only problem is that there are more broken ones, so he is not bad, is just that there are betters (unfortunatly but expected)
I remember referencing the Anemoculus online map, detailing all of their locations. Back when there was no magic compass guiding you to the nearest one, so more than once I ended up missing one or two and then having to go through every single location to see where I missed it. Same with Geoculus.

@Jaye Regeyi yes there are. You can acquire the blueprints for those from doing regional reputation quests. They're consumables so you have to make alot of them though
Back when the community wasn't very toxic, even Mihoyo also gave tons of rewards back in Lantern Rite and even listened to the community's suggestions.

The meteors event was so good , but I was so confused back then , like the only thing I could do was help people infected by the meteors and admire characters like Scaramouche , Fischl , Mona and especially Mona
I was honestly so confused when I started playing at 1.0. I had no idea how to build my characters or leave co-op… all my characters had traveling doctor and berserker with hp and just a tiny bit of attack
The way I thought berserker was the best artifact set when I first started 😭😭😭😭
Another interesting thing back in 1.0 wasn't mentioned was that Xiangling was the only polearm user. I think the next one added was Zhongli but that sounds very inaccurate.
yep, you're right. i remember being so annoyed at Zhonglivs passive talent bec there was literally no other polearm users at that time except xiangling, and then later we got Xiao, Hu Tao, Rosaria in a span of 2 months 😂

Playing since day 1 v1.0. I want Diluc so bad that time and getting him after almost a year on Kazuha banner still make me happy. I don't really care about tier list, I just want to play character that I like.

Well the abyss was pretty much in his favor back then since it increased melt damage by a whopping 120% I think. Now the abyss floor 12 is significantly less restrictive now compared to before where pyro and electro characters were a must have.

Why would you send your main team? Maybe I was just really lucky, but I had enough characters to not send my main team on expeditions.
Time really flies so fast. I still remember being a rookie in this game. I was extremely amazed by the scenery, music and characters. I play this almost a year and I enjoy it more than any other games. However, losing passion to the things you love is vulnerably painful. Everyday I've started to get bored, maybe in the near future I'll stop playing this game...
But... If ever I'll hear the Monstadt OST 30 years from now on, I'll be in tears and be remembered a game I considered a masterpiece.

Same, that’s why sometimes I stop playing genshin and comeback after some month’s. Unfortunately at ar50 +/- u just don’t have anything to do, just the same things and that exhausts everyone. If they had some minigames that u could spend ur time like the coop event that had hide and seek, and other types of minigames that players loved then maybe we wouldn’t be like this today. Sorry for my English, I’m still learning.
This brings back so many memories. I remember when my friend told me you could use characters that were out on expedition and I went ballistic. So many good memories 😊.
I was there in 1.0 but I stopped playing after a few weeks and only started up again a couple months ago. I was just overwhelmed initially with how complex I thought everything was but I’m really glad to be playing now. Got a lot of catching up to do though. Currently AR 26 world level 2
I wish the events stayed as world quests or something. A lot of substantial events, like Dragonspine event, Fischl event, etc were really important to the lore.
Ahh same I wasn't playing seriously back then and didn't finish the Albedo event. Got to the cyro regisvine part and just ran bc I was scared lol. Went back to it a week later and it was gone I was so sad😭. But I do remember just being so excited over being able to finally explore Dragonspine...I miss that feeling

If I remember correctly it was the fischl event which introduced new rocks(blue ones) in the open world to collect

It's died down a lot. Also, I feel that people hated the resin system because content creators were whining about it because they speedran the game and then found out that that was a horrible idea because now they had nothing to do. And their fanbase was mostly just parroting what their favorite creators were saying.
Personally I never hated the resin system, I just thought everyone complaining about it was a sweaty tryhard who did nothing but play Genshin all day.
Well, once you get to endgame you might feel like there's not much to do without resin, but it's not like Genshin is the only thing you can do in your spare time.

@@cestalia thats true, the energy system is in thousands and thousands of games but those games works because the energy was spent on the story not the equipments. In Genshin, you have to way hours for a *chance* to get a decent artifact, with other games you only need to use in-game currency to get a good equipment and thats it, no random main stat, no random substat, no hoping to get a good substat upgrade
I remember being so confused when I could use Amber after sending her on an expedition (I never used her so I sent her and Xiangling, now I'm an Amber main and when I use Keqing I always use Xiangling, oh how the tables have done that spinny thing)
It's been more than a year! Time flies so fast. If you have Venti before, you're like the VIP coz he only appeared in 1.0. 😆 I really enjoyed Fischl event especially the lore.
I remember when there were clips of killing all the pigeons with Diluc’s ult, and I wanted him so bad just to get Ganyu later on and kill all of the pigeons with the charged attack😂😂
And ganyu has become one of the best dps in genshin hahaha good old days 🌚

the unreconciled stars event should've definitely be a permanent quest just like the Albedo event. many of the stuff discussed and discovered in those events literally gives more context on Teyvat's world structure and Celestia. Especially with the introduction of one of, if not, the most interesting character in the story, Scara. It disappoints me as I started playing genshin right after the event was over and I was really upset that I missed it lol
I started playing Genshin at the end of November in 2020, I missed the Scaramouche event and the old Standard Banner, but I was there for the first Lantern Rite and I cried lmao
I think with every new region the resin cap should be increased lol
That or they mske it regen faster, no point on being able to hold onto more if we are still getting 1 per 8 minute
They should at least increase the cap to 200 so we can just play *once* per day without hitting the cap.
Well they increased resin generation by adding some fragile resin in battle pass as reward, and teapot so its not like we didnt move forward with resin since then. Its just really slow.

At first it was only 2 of us and then at 2.0, my 2 other friends plays it too
But sadly the friend that got me into genshin cant play genshin as of rn cuz he went to a boarding school and the school doesnt allow smartphones, so i took care of his acc

I've been playing since 1.0 and I've had diluc since last week of 1.0, I've been a diluc main since 1.2 and I hold it close to my heart of diluc being the best DPS

I got so lucky on my first account in my first 10 pull I got Noelle and keqing and i was so excited. Also as a jean main I wish I could see jean on the banner even though it doesn’t change it.

I don't know if people still remember , but we actually got 2 free barbara , the 1st from her shining debut event : we need to achieve AR 20 before next 1.1 update release & 2nd from her baptism of song. 😅 Another memorable mention is Klee Adventure Mail . There were 5 series of mails . Each mail contained free primogerm, fragile resin & exp books . And that total up to 700 primos

I joined genshin in 1.0 right when klee banner is up, my first 5* is klee, i remember screaming when having her, but now that account has been sold lol
as a F2P Player I remember Speedrunning the Intro part of the game over and over for the free pulls until I got a Cool 5-Star Character I liked hahahaha.
Most times I'd get nothing...
Sometimes I'd get a 5 Star, but not the one I was after...
And that one time I Got Diluc + Jean + Venti + Fischl all in those Beginner Free Pulls. That's when I decided that was gonna be the Account I would play Lmao.
(I did try a few more Speedruns afterwards for the fun of it, and to try to beat my best time, but I was never able to replicate the LUCK I had on that one Account lolll)

The artifacts drops were so annoying especially when one or two of them used to bounce away and fall of the edge xD
Oh and remember when materials used to drop underwater which in the ended up being lost forever? lol that was painful

@@ICNHH - Most of the time if you teleport far away and then come back, the drops will move to the last safe spot the creature died near. I say most of the time, because I've had one instance of stuff staying stuck underwater, but a whole lot of instances where teleporting fixed it.

I remember during the Unreconciled Stars event. I thought it was something normal. The only thing I got from the shop was the crown because I thought you could wear it lmao. I didn't even get my free Fischl. So now I only have C0 Fischl
I remember the elemental crucible, I still have fischl as my main but she's a physical build and still love using her since day one

i remember i started 2 days after release because friends finally convinced me, and i STILL kick myself to this day that i missed out on awards during the first event because i didnt know how it worked
I started the day of the 1.2 release, but I didn't know at the time. I didn't know what events were... so I had no idea Festering Desire existed nor did I know that events had stories. But I had been obssessed about Albedo since then and been waiting for so long. I am so glad he's back almost a year later.
I can relate so much. I started 2 days before 1.2 and me losing to Jean and not doing the event is one of my most regrettable moment in genshin.

@@inski666 Well to be fair the whole lantern rite is boring. Yeah the scenery is nice but the only fun thing is theatre mechanicus and Xiao, who only appeared near the end for the lantern rite quest.

I started playing on 1.0 on Klee's banner. I watched the banners, saw Jean and she instantly became my favorite character, and Diluc was pretty cool, so I only wished on standard to get her because I didn't want Klee. I got Qiqi on standard on wish 6. Later I discovered how the banners work, and whised on Klee's but was to late, but got Childe on my first whish on his banner, pity 6 or 7.

@@Yoshidaslover everytime you defeat a boss or domain (where u generally spend resin), you get ar exp. plus the drops help in building characters so you can do lot more things to level up.

I have been playing since first zhongli banner since like 15th December. Still so sad I missed the Mona event and the first co-op event
I've started playing a few days after the release and missed the first co-op event because I was like: 'what? people? NO! I'm out.'
And to this day, I still feel like that about playing in co-op...
So much has changed since ver 1.0, I remember all of these from when I started playing, it was really fun, everything back then was amazing and so new to us, to imagine that we're here now with the new continent inazuma and the new 5 -stars getting released every month, seeing all this made me feel nostalgic and even almost close to crying, thank you Mihoyo for giving us this game without having to pay, to imagine that such a thing exists for free is amazing.
Without having to pay. About that. They sure are trying HARD to get you to. They nv give freemos anymore and they make the characters niche and problematic ON PURPOSE so you can "fix" them by pulling for constellation otherwise they are dogshit

Not to sound old, but I feel like kids these days are getting way too spoiled... You couldn't imagine a game this grand for mobile a few years ago, not to mention- free.
You can still play the game perfectly fine without spending a dime. Sure, it's frustrating to not get everything like a whale and do the biggest numbers, but you can still beat everything in the game with f2p characters and you can get a 5 star with the worst luck after 3 months max.
I get that mihoyo can always improve, but you don't have to be such a crybaby about it under anything remotely positive said about GI. You can give feedback without making an entitled ass out of yourselfs

I like how I started genshin around patch 1.4-5-ish and I stopped (because I was kinda bored, AR~17) until patch 2.3 came around to start playing again
now I’m at AR38, hopping on and off the game with flight sims and milsims

When I took a break from genshin and fought the Oceanid, it was trippy that it was voiced
I started playing at 1.3 so I missed tons of events.
I would love to experience the lantern festival, the scaramouche quest and the dragonspine quest.
I remember starting in lantern rite and it was so fun seeing it as a opening to Genshin and experiencing it and how I ended up becoming a xiao main til this day

no one seems to remember but there was a time when you could literally only do wolf boss once a week,, it had a 7 day respawn cooldown and if u crashed or forgot to collect you had to find someone who hadnt done wolf yet

I do remember the fischl event though, I can't believe it was that long ago damn! Also just imagine me coming back to the game with 40 more resin, confused why I couldn't collect leyline items, and never sending out my best characters on expeditions even though they took less time because I actually wanted to play them. I accidently sent fischl and it didn't bring up the dialog box that she was in my party and I was so confused I was like "whys she still here?" Lmao. Oh my god and diluc being S tier! I remember feeling so bad that he was my only 'good dps' when I literally had razor and was using him before diluc lol. And I was using Xingqiu as well and I was like "damn my team sucks 😔" when I literally had the best support. My razor was so good I wish I kept using him cause now he's underleveled as hell. AND THE VENTI BANNER IM STILL SAD ABOUT. I didn't know banners went away and I wanted venti so I was like "I'll save up a bunch of primos and then get him!" Imagine my face when I logged on and his banner wasn't there... copium.
I started the game when it came out, put it down for a long time and then picked it back up when I saw Aloy would be added. Thank God, because I really enjoy the game now. I'm just sad I missed so many character banners and the Golden Apple Archipelago.
the moment when u downed the boss, see golden items on the floor, picks every other item up without revealing what the 5* drop was. and slowly approaching it to reveal your loot.

I joined with Ayaka and Ayato’s banners (around version 2.0 or something) so I came in the game super late, and I’m sad I missed things like this, especially the Lantern Rite event.
Here since day 3, I remember the Lantern rite event like it was yesterday. And that fischl event. I didn’t really partake in that first coop event but I do remember it existing.
Then: I'll spend my resin for farming for Diluc
