Good honest review as always Troy. Many thanks. I have an older version Hi-Tec minus the talking and bluetooth. It's been trouble-free. I agree with the app thing being kind of gimmicky.
I can't help but notice you selected 2s lipo but the battery says li-hv on it does the charger not detect between the two, great video non the less i am subscribing.
My 2s lipo battery is 5490mah so my amp rate is 5.49. My charge only says 5.4. Is that the correct amp rate to charge or should I round it off to neatest tenth which makes it 5.5amp?
The tenths of a amp charge rate do not matter - just a rounding error. You will be 100% safe charging at anything around 5.5amp, especially on a proper balance charger.
ya besides the voice read outs ( i would turn that right off ) an the logo it's just a Sky RC D100 V2 witch is still an okay charger but like seen not the best if wanting a speedy charger
Yes it's a menu option, he went past it in the options looking at battery types, there's a option named battery meter and next to that is a option named battery resistance
Ive had this charger for a year now been good no complaints 👍
Glad you like it!

Glad to hear from you Rick! Hope you are doing well!
Nice charger,hi-tec is a good brand, like the size would be nice for a beginner I think, great review troy have a great day
Thank you Thomas! Have a good day!
Exactly the same as SkyRC D100V2. Use it for my home charging. When i am outside, it will be SkyRC B6 neo 👍🏻
Great! And the SkyRC is probably cheaper!
My Onyx 245 has been going strong for 25 years now. No problems! I would definitely recommend and buy it again if it ever malfunctioned
Glad it has been doing good for you!
Hi Troy! Thanks for the info! Really helpful!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the kind comment!
This is a rebranded Dynamite P2. Still have it, it still works great
Glad it is doing well for you!

No - the charger can not tell the difference between lipo and lihv.
You can charge a lihv at lipo, but not the other way around.
@@RoadsideRC ahhh ok makes sense thanks for the info
I have the C150 for about 50bucks. Also works a treat!
Nice!

Does it show the IR of the cells?
I did not see that.

Hey how do I charge a redline 4000 amp
You would set the correct cell count, then charge it at 4amps.
@@RoadsideRC ok ty
Got one for the past year and actually have a second one on the way due to too many batteries.
Glad you like it!
That is exactly the same as my SkyRC D100.
Interesting! And I bet that SkyRC is cheaper as well!
