So just took my CVSA and integrity interview today, which I passed. Along with my oral board and psych eval back in May, as well as my conditional offer.. Things are moving forward, all thanks to your community you have created here Frank. You gave me a clear goal with direction from your program and I couldn't have done it without you, other instructors, and community members positivity towards everyone accomplishing their goals. Thank you for all the knowledge! My last part to do is my doctor physical. Many thanks!! From your friend near Yellowstone. Dry flies all day ;)
@@armogantraining7164 Final offer presented and a start date of Nov 6. Academy starts in January! Thank you so much Frank. You seriously gave me the best way to approach the entire hiring process. Articulate, don't elaborate! You and your program are the best!! -Vance
Just passed my board review. I'm onto the background investigation. I've literally been honest about everything up front, which I think helped me through the board interview. Just be honest, and they told me 2 weeks that it should be done, and in that time frame, I'll have an in-house interview, so I'm praying
I'm currently in the background investigation stage, and honestly a bit worried. Quite a bit of the information I needed I simply did not have. Coworkers from one job, neighbors (everyone moves out in a year or less, everyone keeps to themselves) even my address and school history was patchy, because of a rough childhood where we moved around twice a year almost. Hell I even found out I wrote down the WRONG school after I finally got my copy of my high school transcript. It's rough, and discouraged me a bit. But it is what it is. Fingers crossed.
I have received a Conditional Job Offer and I am now waiting and waiting to hear from the background investigator! My tentative start date is Dec 2nd! I go to academy in Jan!
Down to the last two for BSO Florida. Waiting on my background investigation, it’s been two weeks ( patiently waiting 😅 ) and then the last will be the drug test. Staying positive as always.
@@pinpointprecisionautodetai155 doing mine with orange county, (orlando) before people think California lmao but my backround got done in 3 weeks exact. But the investigator sent it off the week after so technically 4 weeks. Did you do your medical and pysch before the backround ?
From Toronto here, Been just about 6 weeks since I assigned a BGI, I know the background check can take from 2 weeks to 2 months. However none of my references have been contacted yet, is this a bad sign?
I passed my polygraph and was moved onto the background investigation but unfortunately I received a non selection email yesterday. Is being non selected their way of saying “thank you for your interest but we decided to pursue other candidates”? I was just so shocked when I saw the email
This series has been lining up perfectly with my hiring process. I did my polygraph on July 30th and I’ve been wondering what to do now. My in laws just got the call from investigator so looks like just keep waiting.
Did my cvsa, oral board and backround file was sent to the sheriff 10 days ago, ill get the conditional job offer then need to do my psych and medical, how far apart do they schedule the medical and psych or can they schedule them in the same week. ? Trying to make the sept 19th academy. The investigator told me its looking like the January academy but said i might make the September dependent on the conditional offer
Background took a Week to clear, but I didn’t have to turn in anything, just sing a consent form for a full background at this department here, just had to add references.
I have been through all the hoops, now I have to wait for the very last step before the academy which is the AZPOST audit. They say it can take up to 90 days so I’m not sure if I’m going to make it in time for the September academy or have to wait for the January :-(
How long would you say to wait to apply to a department. I have applied to a few and have passed all of my 3 polys but keep being removed from the process because I have failed my background. My polygraph examiner told me she believes it is due to my past cannabis use as it is too recent for most departments (18 months) what advice would you give me? (Illinois if it makes a difference)
I've been waiting for 4 months for the Case Manager to review and guve a final decision on my package my background investigator took 2 months after he turned in my paper work to Case manager it has been 4 month and all they tell me is to keep waiting for final decision but not give me a clear answer Waiting and not knowing has been definitely the hardest part.
I completed My written exam (passed) My physical test (passed) My application was accepted I did my oral board (passed) I did my management panel (passed) I just completed my polygraph and waiting on the command staffs response if I move on 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
Found out that I was not selected and failed my background check. What would you recommend me to do now? Should I try to start over again for this agency (Baltimore county , Maryland)

How long after the background investigation phase began did it take for them to notify you that you were not selected, and how were you notified (phone call, email, or mail)?
@@johvales I was notified by usps mail. It was almost 3 months after the initial phone call I had with my investigator. I plan on try again next in March / April.

Seems like a simple process
Please tell me where so that I can apply please.
How far back do they go
For your criminal investigation
Depends on the department can be 10 years can be your entire life

Start pursing other departments or tell them you are going to if the don't move forward with you you know they wasted your time.
I applied to a big sheriffs department. They said my ranking is #50. Does it mean they will run my background first before the #51th applicant?
Usually yes
If I get an email saying I made the eligible to hire list, does that mean my background check should be next?
Depends on the department and in what order they do the hiring process. I would;d look them up online and see if they post the hiring sequence.
Is it frowned upon to apply to multiple departments at once
If you apply to too may it can be, I would recommend no more than 3 at one time
I completed
My written exam (passed)
My physical test (passed)
My application was accepted
I did my oral board (passed)
I did my management panel (passed)
