It's kinda crazy to think that I remember seeing Paul Mitchell shampoo in the shower when I was just a little kid at home (the distinctive white bottle and font). I was also amazed when I learned that the same man had created Patron tequila. Basically this guy is freaking awesome, his products have been in my house since I was a kid and that shows how much impact and reach - from a TWICE HOMELESS man, not a silver-spoon heir - what a powerhouse and I love his life attitude. Guy deserves his success and if I had to guess, he's got much more still to accomplish

The idea of interviewing self made man is great. Especially listening from the start
Basically all the billionares somewhere in their life met the right person which ultimately lead to their break through and many people do the hustle but dont get that lucky break of finding that mentor or person with money or something. Also one other common denominator is that it seems from the late 80s to 2000 was the golden time to invest in companies, shares, real estate etc,
I know exactly what he went through. I started business at aged 10. I am not a billionnaire yet but I am pretty okay.
the thing you need in business is 1 thing "momentum" aka sale after sale after sale.
John Paul is over the top the best sales person and he was part of Hell’s Angels. So combination of growing up humble and being part of one of the most notorious gangs in America that is why he’s a billionaire.

That's what I like about the American culture and Americans in general. Go and try out. Allow Yourself to make mistakes and learn from it. Here in Belgium most people are very conservative. Study good in order to have a good job and live a nice life. Do not try out and certainly do not make mistakes, if you do not want to be a looser. How can You learn, if you are not allowed to make mistakes anyway?

So many people don't know this about you. I've worked in Paul Mitchell Salons , But I never heard of all the other good things you have done. He Just Has A Good Heart, With out any wrong motives .
I love this man! I have used Paul Mitchell products in the salon for years. My favorite products? Super Skinny serum, PM flat irons, shampoo 3.
I tried to make a flower box to sell one time...
But then the lady down the street reported me to the HOA for making noise with the hand saw. Then the HOA called the police and reported my parents for child labor violations and child abuse. Then a city inspector came by and charged me for operating a business without being registered as an LLC. Then a county inspector came by and charged me for not meeting the experience requirements to qualify for a trade exam and license. Then a state inspector came by and charged me for not having a proper background check and paying the state fees to secure a licensed surety bond. Then the feds came by and found I did not have a government-issued ID...
Long story short - that was in 1992. I just got out of prison last week.
