It must've gotten to Steve at the very end...you can hear it in his voice as he sings the final verse. He can't even get out the final "rebuild"...it's probably safe to say that he knew it would be his last performance with BNL. But how lovely (and yet very ironic) for you that you got to share YOUR moment with THEIR moment in BNL's history.
So beautiful. I wish they would get back together so badly... And wow! that is really cool you got to be there for this and you still see Steven and BNL. You are truly blessed:D
I am happy that they are all still making music! Don't know as there will ever be a reunion, but at least we can still enjoy them all.... just separately!
This and Break Your Heart seems to be the famous BNL songs that Ed will not sing. RIP Skates. What was that motion Steve did that looked like "You should play guitar"?
@lovebug112484 Being that this was a dedication for a friend and fan who passed away shortly before cruise time makes it very special and then to top it off, it was the final song that the guys performed as a five-piece band. We as fans had not heard the news of Steven leaving the band at this time, but the guys knew it I am sure. Very special moment indeed...
This is so moving--the way Steven keeps looking at Ed :(

He didn't know. He said that in his blog.
You've got the best videos & explain things that I always wondered about lol-Ty!
And I'm sorry about your friend. I know how hard that is. 💕

I picked up on those "vibes" long before the cruise even. The cruise just sort of verified it as time progressed.
*Btw I am terribly sorry for your loss. I hope things continue to move forward and get better.

I *think* he's asking for less of Ed's guitar in his in-ears.
maveness That makes sense. Thanks!

@maveness Me too! I'm glad I got to hear him sing this live before I had to leave the concert.
@nanakruppa Thanks - ironic timing for your posting, he passed away two years ago today, 12/23/08.
so were you one of the people who picked up on "awkward vibes" which signaled that this might be it?
@lovebug112484 Oh and I just heard Steven sing this last Friday night also and I was still so touched by it... remembering this moment always...
