As the finale piece in a wonderful performance at St George's Bristol on 22 October 2017, Debasmita Bhattacharya and Gurdain Rayatt performed Raag Misra Bhairavi.
The concert was presented by Asian Arts Agency in association with St George's Bristol. Part of a UK tour organised by Darbar Festival.
Debasmita Bhattacharya, an accomplished sarod player from Kolkata, West Bengal, is a rising young female star of the Indian music scene who is creating shockwaves across musical circles in her native India and beyond with her remarkable talent and powerhouse performances.

There are lot of women instrumentalist.As for Sarod,the first name that comes to my mind is Sharan Rani,a disciple of Ustad Ali Akbar.She became so famous with Sarod that her name was changed to Sarod Rani because of her association with Sarod.
