Cyrus is it true you wrote the intro to Hit or Miss on guitar? Or did I dream this... BTW thank you for being an amazing drummer, you were and still are a big inspiration - I literally learnt to play the drums by playing along to NFG
My in ears are usually just full of a general mix of everything. I like to pan stuff as I see it (or at least as it is setup on stage), and I might boost vocals a tad or with NFG it's usually making sure Chad's guitar (stage left) is a little louder so I can hear when he's starting songs over Jordan or him yelling into the mic.
That’s new. That’s actually a nod to some older Yellowcard drum fills, and I played that same fill in the same spot in “Hit or Miss” every night hoping that Ryan Key would notice that I was playing a fill from one of his own songs... I don’t think he ever did.
So now what you've been bashing it a few years, whats the biggest difference you notice between the 20th Anniversary ride VS. the standard Sweet Ride? On a separate note thanks for taking the time to answer my previous questions!
The biggest difference by far is the wash...the 20th Anniversary still “sounds” like a ride even as you start to hit it hard where the sweet ride turns into a crash pretty quickly as you start hitting harder. But the 20th Anniversary sounds just as sick as a crash when you really go for it. It’s the best of both worlds in my opinion.
@@CyrusBolooki Good to know! I do miss my sweet ride sometimes but agree about the wash. You loose the stick definition but man was it great when you laid into it. I ended up going with a 21 Sabian Groove ride. Sort of the same with the loss of stick definition but the bell is MUCH louder and it crashes great! Question of the day: First drum kit you bought for yourself? Thanks!
Shane Pearl Export, “Hard Rock” config, meaning one rack and two floor toms (I was copying Ben Gillies, the drummer of Silverchair). It was a piano black finish, but about a year later I realized that one of my floor toms was actually the wrong finish, a smoke grey instead of the black hahaha.
Another cracking video. Love how effortless the fills look, especially at 3:20. So much fun watching these
Would love to see ‘Something I Call Personality’

Whats your preference for the in ear mix? I am absolutely loving that you're posting these. You're one of my favorite drummers

No click?
Klitas Records no click
That last fill. Is that the original fill or a new one for the show?

@@CyrusBolooki Right on! Obviously was THAT noticeable haha. You've had many kits over the years, I wonder if there is a favorite among them....
BAD sound
