I love the video Luke! I hardly make comments, but as one of the other students at Keats school… I wanted to say thank you for making a video of many of the fun memories I had in Kunming as well. 😊 I hope you do well with your studies, 加油!(我是那个美国人在石林。✌️)
What an interesting video! Thanks Luke for sharing your day with us in Kumming. It looks an amazing place - so clean, so modern and people looking so care free!
Luke, I have been considering going on an extended trip to China but is worried with my limited knowledge of Mandarin. Your video has given me a real option which I will most definitely check out and consider. Thanks, and all the best.
I was in your same position before. Going to China and visiting Keats language school (in Kunming but also other cities as well) definitely gave me the boost in practice and confidence I needed to start and continue having conversations with others in Mandarin. If you have the ability, definitely go visit. 😊 加油!🙌
@@swissdragon3540 Thank you for sharing your experience at Keats. Yes, I will most certainly consider Keats as a steppingstone into my foray into China. 👍
I really miss my trip to Stone forest park there where my last trip there was more than 10 years ago. One of Jackie Chan movies was shot there in the cave many years ago
luke, take notice of your voice in video, sometimes seems to far to be heard by viewers...at 5.39 minutes, the sounds start better again .....just a kind input from me ya.....living in china jason and sabrina in china channel,i love their audio always clear and good and feel good to listen and watch at leisure time ......keep going luke.....
You can study at the school for as long or as little as you would like. 😊 Some people are just passing through, some stay for quite a long time. Either way, the teachers there help you learn Mandarin (+ the local dialect if you want) in a fun and engaging way. I definitely had a lot of fun while I was there. 😄 Anyone at any level who wants to learn Mandarin can do so, don’t be shy. I recommend visiting! ~ Another Keats School student.
Really disgusted by you. As a Chinese, i feel sorry for my peers as i checked you up, you studied in Oxford Brookes which means you did poorly in your Alevel. For most Chinese students, if you give them Aleve maths, phyics or chemistry papers, they will find it so easy. And if they did poorly in Gaokao and went to a school that's equivalent to same admission standard as Oxford Brookes, they will never had the chance to study PhD in SJTU. Your experience is such a mockery of the Chinese government.
I went to Warwick though for my masters degree which is one of top universities in the world for statistics… I also had to pass oral exams/interviews to get admitted to SJTU, they didn’t just “give” it to me
@@livinlavidaluke well, I believe there are more Chinese in Warwick maths related master degree than British and definitely some of them with better 1st degree than yours who want to do PhD in SJTU. Have you seen any of them? Nope. Your PhD peers in SJTU did years of hard work in the top 985 unis in China. By expectation, it'sway harder to get in than Oxbridge. So you think you are on the same level as them by simply saying that your possibly 3 years in Oxford Brookes + 1 year in Warwick is equivalent to their 6+ years of hard work plus some 5/6 years of Chinese level (not British) Math Olympiad experience? Then you said you went to Warwick. Well, if one has the choice of Oxbridge, LSE, Imperial, UCL possibly next is Warwick. You are just like most white people who benefit from the communist party ruling. From your reply, it's full of bias, unconsciousness, naive pride and a typical British sense of entitlement and ignorance. Maybe go ask how much time per day your Chinese PhD peers have been studying since they were 6 years old? I bet you don't know this
@@livinlavidaluke and btw does going to the "top uni in the world" Warwick for stats mean you are "top student in the world". Your Warwick stats education failed to teach you logic perhaps. You are in China, just go to any top 985 or even just 211 maths department, you will be smoked.
Well if i wasn’t good enough i wouldn’t pass the mathematics phd qualifying exam which many chinese students did fail and had to drop out😂 i wouldn’t be graduating in a couple months time if i wasn’t their level too!! I’m not saying im the best or anything, many students are smarter, but similarly i wasn’t “gifted” the position because of luck either.
The school made a deal that YOU guys 40 USD off lessons by using my code LUKECHINA at : keatschinese.com/ref/24/

Very interesting, you'd improve your Chinese very quickly there.
The stone forest looks amazing ❤
Love your personality and sense of adventure. Do try the chicken feet the next time. They are delicious.
thanks! and absolutely not ;p

I learnt something new today - China sells flowers to so many countries! 😮
I really miss my trip to Stone forest park there where my last trip there was more than 10 years ago. One of Jackie Chan movies was shot there in the cave many years ago
There are only a few cities in China that eat fried bugs, and I have never eaten them myself, and I dare not try them.
Those might be bamboo worms, but definitely not maggots. Maggots are disgusting I think :D
why are the frogs everywhere??...in most videos I saw people taking in China, they're there...
Its some trend online i think
It’s just like people acting as cartoon characters at time square ,selling small gifts ,
the flower bouquets are so cheap, i'm so envious. here in the US, a small bouquet in grocery store would cost you $20-$25.
Why don't you paint China on Your Canvas just like VanGogh paint France
I enjoy your videos! Just a friendly note that the audio volume levels are up and down and inconsistent across the video making it hard to watch
crazy cheap! 75 cents for all those flowers.
Right, Kunming is famous as wholesaler flowers 🌹🎉

Kunming is a good place, a lot of business interacting place, goods distribution centre.
You graduated after 16 hours!?
Sixteen!!?? 😆
It's more about the experience, and they do have more comprehensive courses, right?

Still processing by UA-cam ?
Ok now?
Scorpio fried food, as a Chinese, I think it's crazy, don't know who invented it, many years old habbit long time ago....😂
鹿可 这个名字写的非常漂亮

Low level comment by a low level person. Study hard, don’t slam others. 一天你也可以学习非常好。人类都可以。
