thank you. i don't know how i'd forgotten that its in the voltaic box set. maybe its just too many bjork cds! as if! never enough! i saw the volta show in London and Amsterdam but the Parisians rocked out to Pluto better than both! Ecstatic!
I think it was added later for the DVD...back in the day her voice was kinda destroyed because of too much singing during the Volta tour and so she couldnt reach the high notes in Bachelorette anymore...and then she struggled for several months of even years, and had to learn back how to sing in order to sing on Biophilia...in the end she got vocal chord surgery in 2012 or 2013...
Thibaut Basely and if you listen to more recent live versions of Bachelorette she hit these high notes again (she rather belts them actually), I am so happy for her that her voice healed in the end
well, björk was ill during this concert, in fact, she had to repeat bachelorette because it was scrapped the first time. she also said that they made some corrections in post-production (that's probably why the note is longer). by the way, on youtube there's a full video of this performance recorded by someone in the public, you can notice that it's the same performance, but some parts are slightly different, for example there was originally an extra pause before 1:30 and the belt at the end is totally different, therefore they could have taken some parts from the first performances or from other concerts.
