You didnt temper it! Tempered chocolate has the nice snap to it and has a beautiful glossy finish, its just so much better Also to make milk chocolate, you need to add powered milk, you cant use regular liquid milk because it wont solidify.

The white part covering the “bean” is the endosperm is actually fairly sweet and tastes pretty good whereas the bean is very bitter. Locals actually suck on them. Tried This on a study abroad trip.
Over in Ecuador as well there is something called the equator line where everything is super strange gravity defies laws and you get sunburns different and there's no shadows due to the sun being right above you. Very interesting, I'd suggest going there when you get to Ecuador for a next visit.
