- Description and demonstration of an air operated 65 pound blacksmith's striking hammer. The machine delivers single blows on command from a foot treadle with precision and power. Stroke and power are easily adjusted, and the hammer can perform both heavy forging and delicate veining with ease.
I can't believe they're aren't more comments on this , the fact that you can pass an drift through the anvil is groundbreaking ,not to mention the adjustable ram , this is the most veritile hammer I've ever seen !!!!!
Fantastic man. Beauty!
That is very nice
This is a very good idea and very versatile, it is suitable for all needs and can change the adapter very easily. Your ideas are worth learning!
By far the best pneumatic hammer explanation I could find. Great work my friend. I cant wait to build one of those suckers
Still waiting for the video on that sweet gas forge you brought to Iron to Art in Johnstown. ;)
Just a wonderful hammer. It was great to meet you at ABANA. I hope to see these hammers for sale soon!
This is awesome
you should put a secondary pedal on it that will slide the stroke adjustment up and down. so you don't need to stop to adjust. I really dig all your hammers.
Wow, really impressive build. I like the ram, the anvil. The hole in the anvil. The long guides. Good job. One thing though. I really don't like how you put your hands under the ram. At least on video you shouldn't do such things. Just look at what happened with John Switzer's hand.
Super cool hammer. How do you think the anvil will do if you increase the ram weight?
Are these available to buy? If so how much and where?
Does this use solid-state relays or a PLC? I think a PLC for such an application is overkill.
Great job on the power hammer fab. Like the electric control. Surprised you didn't put a treadle lift on the furnace door;0)
how much CFM does it need
Are the hammer for sale. And where are you located
Heck, i'da worn long welders' gloves.....you only will get ONE chance, for a permanent injury......
