Wheeeew as a Garnet Main I'm so glad I decided to go on a small journey about competing without air Neutral. For one month I had a rule that if I hit the opponent with air Neutral I had to forfeit a life so It gave me an opportunity to get better with garnet's other ways of coming in to attack. I started to feel that i relied on air Neutral so much and i started to become predictable and boring so i wanted to change things up and omg am i a much better Garnet than i was a month ago. Now with these nerfs it was a great idea. Now I only use the move when I feel it absolutely necessary to meanwhile I'm doing this this and that when starting attacks and combos and now I'm starting to see me lean more to her electric ground shock and finger gun. A move I rarely used previously and a move I only used in a combo.
I’m not sure how I feel about the shields right now. I’m just not a fan of the idea because not every platform fighter needs to be Super Smash Bros. Also why are they adding such a big gameplay mechanic this late into the game’s life? You’d think this would be determined BEFORE the game’s launch, because it’s starting to feel like they have no direct or clear vision for what they want MultiVersus to be
Steven had a shield bubble. Then they nerfed it into the ground to make it basically useless at higher skill levels. Then after they nerf Steven shield to the ground, they give everyone a shield. Tell me you hate Steven universe now blatantly, PFG

Raven got some more mainstream eyeballs but that had a flashy trailer and a fan favourite character. Mechanic changes don’t grab the attention of casuals. • There has literally been no in-game notification that shields have been added. I’ve long suspected that a lot of the active playerbase literally just logs in and plays, and isn’t in the habit of regularly seeking out news about the game from external sources, and anecdotally, the first official day of shields seems to be backing this up: there have been a lot of reports that most players aren’t even using them yet. • I think we’ve gotta give it a little time for the news to spread via word-of-mouth through the larger platform fighter grapevine. The change basically just dropped with no forewarning and little fanfare. It was barely highlighted in their update trailer, which got posted to Twitter and Reddit, but hasn’t even shown up on their own UA-cam channel yet. (They are still definitely not promoting this game effectively.) So far, the only text mention of it from an official source is buried in the patch notes. Like, even the scores of people who swore they’d quit as soon as shields were mandatory? I’ve barely even seen a peep from them about it! Those people have been such vocal complainers, I sincerely don’t believe that quiet quitting is in-character for them. So, did they decide to stick around anyway, or do they not even know yet?! Heck I still don't even know what button is for shields yet but I'll figure it out eventually when shields are more of the norm but right now I don't need it

@ Why? Shields are in the game. Four things eat up dodge meter. Not only that, but having the burst attack option cost the same as our only evasive & mobility option is stupid. And the amount of frames on “whiff” dodging is stupid as well due to how inconsistent it is. 5 is fine.
Dodge attacks don't take meter the dodge still take meter but the attack don't anymore... for example before if u attack with a dodge u will lose a extra % of meter if u attack with a dodge now u only lose meter from the dodge not the attack followed by the dodge that's what the obviously meant well atheist I thought it was obvious but maybe not idk but anyway that's what it mean
Character animations & movement are unique but need a complete over haul, high risk plays never feel rewarding and and the biggest thing is the momentum shifts EVERY character has on EVERY move. When you swing you swing in mud. Not fun. Great video Bhands but keep smash & fort in the back pocket. ✔️🤙🏽

@ no they make his only good air move trash. They don’t make his kit better and buff other moves to even out the character. It was already frustrating and the move was in a good place since the knockback nerf. Shows you don’t actually know the character and are talking out of your ass. Maybe fix his awful down air or the hit box on his side air that goes through bodies, maybe the up air that is maybe the most inconsistent in the game. Last season I was masters with Jake and without a doubt has the worst matchups in the game easily.
That's not a bug. It happens when you're out of air specials and try to shoot jerry in the air. The ball doesn't count as a special. 2,500 Kills as T&J main
This does cause it, but as a lvl 41 tnj I can confirm that the specials don’t reset upon touching surfaces sometimes it’s extremely rare, also Jerry still goes invisible
Hit boxes are still so bad. Wonder Woman nair still hits from behind her for example. So many characters have moves that have hit boxes way bigger than shown
