Shame on Airbnb. Their whole idea is a safety risk. Hotels seem to be the way, although aren't perfect, but they're sometimes costs the same if not cheaper, they offer better service, and most importantly are safer in comparison. Also, with hotels, there are actually ways to hold someone accountable, if something unfortunate happens to you.
Did you provide any proof? Did you film the cameras or something? Did you report this TO THE POLICE? If so, it’s an EXTREMELY strange reaction to this by Airbnb as I’ve worked with tourism a lot and have seen cases of Airbnb listings and profiles being completely banned for stuff like this (not exactly peeping, but something similar)
Not nearly as bad, but one of the first times I stayed in an Airbnb, I didn’t get the hosts’ check out policies until it was too late to cancel with a refund. Their policy was basically for me to clean the entire one-bedroom apartment, or I would get charged with a fee that was more than the amount that I had paid in full to stay there. Long story short: Airbnb can fck themselves with a machete
