I'm from Albuquerque. Then i moved up to the Taos area to escape the craziness but now it has spread up there too. At some point I just realized that the state of NM has a violence and dysfunction that is so deep that there is no saving it. So I got my kid the hell out of that hellhole so we could have a future. We moved to Arkansas and are so much happier.....and much safer. No tent cities or drug addicts harassing us everywhere we go. People actually work for a living here and raise their kids with morals and values. No one has stolen anything from us and there's still festivals and normal life happening here. Leaving NM is the best decision I could have made for my family. I'm sad to say that but....it's the truth.
Not all of N.M is bad and one more thing stop bashing all the good people here in N.M. I know plenty of people here who work for a living, and work hard to raise their families, and raise their kids with morals. So stop spreading your hate about people in N.M just cause you had a bad experience with some people here.
The problem is not lack of homes for people , is the drug use. Being poor doesn’t always translate into homeless , is only when drugs are introduced into the mix, when it becomes a problem.
@@hodad123 you are 100% right, only incarcerated these people get clean, because is obvious they lack will to do so, I worked in jail, prison and lately in some nursing homes where mostly drug users ended up demented, drooling and totally incapacitated so we the working people had to take care of them, this is a fact.
@@hodad123 you are 100% right .! Only by force they will stay away from drugs, it can’t be left to their willingness to get clean ..! I wish we had a boot camps for them, with psychotherapy and discipline to keep them for couple years in .

It wasn't always this bad. It isn't JUST the drugs, this is also a mental health/health care problems, mismanaged funds, among other issues. Many of the homeless aren't even from here, but our infrastructure was in no way able to handle the explosion of folks who need more help than we are able to give. There are lots of wonderful people here who care, but aren't even able to make ends for themselves or their families.
Looks pretty much like it always has. Left there 20 + years ago. Some new building and metro has covered areas The people East of Louisiana and Central have always been that way.
Are you paying people to comment here? Why don't you say one word about the city or where you are? It's just a quiet ride up Central which nobody knows unless they live here. I appreciate your EFFORT?
I love Albuquerque NM. I tried to live on other states people were ok. NM my food, the people here are awesome. I love it here this is where I will stay. We Fiestas, the balloon Fiesta, then the Christmas tour. What more can we ask for

I met a woman from Albuquerque New Mexico, Karla Covington. She wanted me to move out there. I almost did, until I found out she is a lying, cheating, deceiving, narcissist. I would have been homeless there. She asked if it was weird that she watches her 21 year old son take baths 😐

The problem is they don’t arrest drug addicts, I’m not being cold but jail is the safest place and they can get clean

Prayers and pity does not help anyone..if we don’t assume responsibility of our own actions, and blame the others, we will going in circles forever.

Very sad
Indeed it is. The poor souls lost on this street alone is heartbreaking.

That's GAY
Louisiana an Trumball, help everyone
Such a sad thing to see.
I know. It has become very common to see. Me, being a transplant to Albuquerque, still are shocked to see the things I see.
I love the Mountains! Never have lived this close to them. Abq. Is 10th State I have lived in and 1st desert....so far so good.
Very lame. You don't live here or you'd know our main road in town is Central Ave. Good luck to you
Pobres
I don't live there. I don't care.
