I've been playing the game for a few years so usually all goes well, but this time in MIC I only get ground targets, it is a pain to get to, and most of the time I CTD before getting there or my guns wont have ammo even after powercycle... Really looking forward to stability in this game
Generally the server performance in the game SUFFERS during free-flight events. (Possibly due to a back end scalability issue.) Doing bounties in Crusader / Arc Corp reduces the travel time dramatically as all your targets will be on the thinner atmosphere moons (No bountie on ARC or CRU planets). I agree server stability isn't where it needs to be and I look forward to when it's smoother!
Thanks for this video! I have a small question to ask you about mission sharing, if I share my bounty missions with my friend who is in my turret, is the experience shared between the two of us or would I earn the same as if I were on my own?😊
Bounty money amd reputation earned is split between all people who acceot it. But take into account you can probably kill enemies quicker! And the boxes get moved quicker with two people.
Where possible try to pick out landmarks as indicators and try to be intentional about killing near those landmarks when you see the ship getting red, but prolonged fights against multiple high threat targets can naturally get spread over large areas. It helps to do bounties with friends then spreadout on scanning duty, C2s, M2s A2s and Caterpillars and 890Js are the most important targets to prioritise keeping an eye on. If there are 2 or more of you in a fight you can ask one person to be on scanning / Prize babysitting duty.
Great video, also for beginners like me 😁 I bought the Syulen Starter and was lucky to be hired as a third gunner on a ship doing missions just like that.. made a million in only a few hours and was plenty of fun 👍 Was wondering where I can rent ships for free (you mentioned the Corsair) to do these missions myself and if I need to have the highest BH certification? Guess I'll have to grind for a while, seems to be hard to survive in my Syulen right now or maybe it's my bad flying skills 😂 anyways see you in the verse and thanks for your content o7
Welcome to the verse! Glad you enjoyed my content made some money! Sadly yojr opportunity to rent a Corsair has passed but you can always rent a Constellation Andromeda from a Rental Kiosk like the one you pass in Orison on your way to the space station. Awesome video Kav! Quick question if I may: Do you use a keyboard and mouse to play the game? I wonder if it is a viable option. Unsure to invest in HOSAM or HOTAS atm :) Cheers!
Hey, thanks for your question. I played on Keyboard and mouse for ~1 year, then I moved to HOTAS for ~ 1 year, then tried keyboard & stick for ~1/2 year and for the last half a year I've been on stick & mouse! I tried all of these combinations with the cheapest HOTAS set on the market. If you want different inputs you can get them and it can make your experience more immersive and flying more smooth, BUT some of the best PVP players and some of the best racers use keyboard and mouse, so don't feel like you NEED to upgrade!
@@poet8236 For me it's more about the immersion factor and although changing to sticks takes time to adapt I think overall the experience with HOSAS is the peak for immersion and long term smoother ship control. K&M can be as good but requires more hours dedication to get to the highest level, but can result in very "snappy" flying with super precise rolls and more twitchy movement etc. (due to binary roll input, acceleration etc.)
So right now my only ship is the Corsair. Was thinking of possibly upgrading it to a ship that I can bounty hunt with and put a lot of cargo in. What ship would you recommend for that? Great video btw.
Thank you very much! Honestly the Corsair gives you a great amount of pilot damage and I was thinking of buying one in-game just for bounty-hunting! It will struggle against some of the smaller targets, but you could always go for a fully gimballed setup of laser repeaters, less total damage but will help you hit smaller targets more easily. It's also good for multicrew as you can stick a couple of friends in the turrets. Like the Connie it's a good jack of all trades ship. If you get a ship with more cargo you'll probably be trading out firepower for either cargo or maneuverability. In this video I used the Redeemer for killing ships more easily and the Crusader M2 for moving cargo. P.S. You can rent a LOT of ships at IAE at the moment and I'd always recommend trying a ship / buying it in game before you consider spending real-world money.
@@kaventiaplays Thank you for responding to my comment. I did some more research and decided to keep my Corsair but will buy the new Zeus MK CL as a second ship. And I believe I will get the C1 as a loaner so it’ll allow me to fit the larger containers.
What ship do you recommend? I currently use a cutlass black but am looking to upgrade into a ship with both a larger cargo space and the firepower. Also, how do you find the ships after killing all of them? I end up flying away chasing the last targets and just lose the first ship.
Cutty Black is a great ship, but as you take on more challenging bounties it can become harder, so either join with friends & do bounties together or try renting a Constellation Andromeda from a rental kiosk and see how you get on. It's a lot tankier than a Cutlass and has great missile loadout like the cutlass and as a Cutty owner you might not mind the struts, it's also nice to try before you buy to see if you like it. In a similar capability but with more firepower (but less cargo & missiles) is the Drake Corsair. Finally if you like the andromeda but don't use the missiles much & would prefer more Cargo the Constellation Taurus has the same weapon loadout for the pilot but with more cargo. I hope this helps! :) Oh and keeping track of fallen the ships is just hard. Helps if you keep close to a landmark planet-side like a big mountain etc. But if you bounty hunt with other players you can cover more ground in your after combat search party.
You can use either, I prefer the repeaters for actually hitting the targets (projectiles travel faster) technically laser cannons have a higher Alpha damage (higher damage per hit) but as long as you stop shooting quickly enough (or just hit them with 1 weapon when they're weak) you can continue using cannons no problem! But personally I would recommend repeaters for smaller targets.
I subscribed off just this one video, that's very rare for me to just outright sub after watching one video, which should speak to the volume of this video. It was informative, AND fun. You did a great job dude! My one question would be, what area would you recommend for initial spawn in terms of bounty hunting? Any spot have more benefits than any other?
Thank you very much for the sub! Generally people prefer Crusader or ArcCorp because you don't get missions on the main planet (unlike MIC & HUR) so you spend less time flying through thick atmosphere. I think best for Bounties is: CRU > ARC > HUR > MIC I hope that's useful!
Is there a place to play Bounty Hunting missions only on moons and not on the asteroid like in Yela? BTW, I have HRT assignments close to VHRT. Personally, I like Crusade more but since the missions are random and can be spawned on the Yela asteroid, I need to go to another planet that only has missions on the moons.
Then I think you would like ArcCorp, although there is some on asteroids I think it's mostly moons. Or you can do the Critical Threat Beacons around Crusader generally puts one target on each moon and you have a 45 minute time limit to kill them all. Even if one is on Yela it might be planet-side rather than in the asteroid belt, so higher average no. of bounties moon-side.
Haha yes i am doing the bounty missions in a F8c it is great for shooting them down but has no cargo space. I am trying to save up for a drake corsair, looking forward to this
