An exclusive series of Living Legends Music interviews with Christopher Cross. Part 5 of 10. Recorded on February 8th, 2009 in Tampa, FL.
He made us believe that good things can happen to people from San Antonio and to me he was a and still is a Great Singer
I really like Christopher Cross songs. He's the reason why I play guitar and writing songs. He's an inspiration to me.
He's indeed a legend. One of my all time favorites. I'll never get rid of his cd's.
Always a pleasure, very grounded individual. Spoke some wise words. As a composer and performer can pretty much identify with everything he spoke of. Interesting thing about musicians can acknowledge our peaks and valleys. To be perfectly honest it's not really a career choice, more of a destiny. Enjoy the ride , can get a little bumpy.
Christopher Cross is always in my Top 10 All Time Favorite Artists
Still own the original ride like the wind record. Mr Cross ain't going anywhere. Millions love the music. Many great memories. ☺
He has such a clear assessment of his music career in how it happened. He may not have had as big a career as some, but he is grateful for what he's accomplished as he should be. I definitely learned something from him. :)
Not a big career??? You definitely don’t know Christopher Cross
its Feb 2019 and i just saw Christopher Cross at the Capitol Theatre in Clearwater, FL and wow hes still awesome.. you rock Chris !!!!
Ele é fantástico! Um ícone que tem o amor e o respeito de todos nós!
Suas músicas me emocionam junto com sua lindíssima voz e o seu grandioso Carisma.
Desejo a você Cristopher paz e Luz!
Você nos trás uma leveza um amor inexplicável.
Muito obrigada ❤❤❤❤❤
That's a good point he makes, he was big enough for long enough to be able to sustain a career for as long as he wants
Really good interview, got out of boot camp and Sailing was huge then heard he was from Austin, I had lived there spent a lot of time on the lake he was referring to lake Travis, cool song.
Love to hang with this dude for coffee
What a legend.
I was listening to Another Page while my high school friends were listening to HSAS (Hagar, Schon, Aaronson, and Schrieve).
And I think Chris got better as a songwriter over time. Walking in Avalon (also released as Red Room) is a brilliant album full of great songs.
Every Turn of the World was an amazing album. That's the record that turned me on to Christopher Cross.
I have a great deal of respect for Mr. Cross. He got to live his dream even if only for a short time, mine never came about but hey its probably a good thing
He rocks!!
It's interesting his observations about Joni's work & how they are perceived. Of all of her albums Night Ride Home might be the one I'm most drawn to. But that likely says more about me than it does the music itself.
I love his music💞
Still a good guy.
Modern radio is pretty sad now! Music needs a revival back to anything but now.
You can always tell a consummate musician when they sing the praises of Joni Mitchell.
Once upon a time someone’s manager was comparing Sting w Bryan Adams. He noted that Bryan always outsold Sting but his profile was always much less “ loud” & his star always dim in comparison. I don’t think Adams really cared.
Sunny Castleford, Yorkshire .. .. .
SRV guitarist number one guitar 🎸 he called the wife was MR . C. Cross guitar before he traded it to SRV!
The interviewer sounds like Rick Beato.
