I used to cut timber in washington state back in the fifties and sixties. The big hemlock and fir would of still had to of went through a can't mill and use powder wedges to saw those fifteen foot on the stump trees We cut them nine foot long and split them to haul on lowboys to milling site. It was good times for us and if we got two trees a day... we were rolling in high cotton. Thats a nice mill but must be going to the peninsula so it could find timber that size as everything is in the wilderness bill area anymore

I'm in WA and I am working on my 1 acre property. Trees in the 130 year old range. I cut low to the ground and my widest cut on a red cedar was 7 foot 8 inches. still 4 foot at 30 feet up the tree. There are starting to be some large second growth trees. I have another property with about a dozen Cedar and a dozen Doug Fir that are four to five foot at breast height.

Thats some awesome mill there. Looks to be a BIG BEAM processors delight.
Ment for quality, not production milling.
