Love this long haircuts like steve harrington, billy hargrove, anakin skywalker, like 80s style. I currently have cliff booth haircut and its awesome, now i love long hair i never want to go on short again
@Blackpilled Saint lol all my friends tell me i look like him that's why i started growing out my hair nd right now im on my 8 month nd i do look like him more then he does 😂
lan bremec I love long haircuts too except that I just grow it out and have that Anakin Skywalker look or even Kylo Ren looks pretty good too. But I don’t like obi wan’s clone wars look with long hair like Jesus lol. Anakin’s look way better but my hair isn’t as curly as he was and mine look kinda like Kylo Ren since it’s dark and thick not curly or brown-ish like anakin’s
my boyfriend wants me to cut his hair due to covid and I have done my own hair for years so I know a tiny bit but he has long hair and likes this sexy layered look. So this teaching from a man for men hair is soooo extremly refreshing and clearly stated so his hair doesnt look terrible now it looks pretty good and he loves it. So thank you
Hey. I'm a barber in the UK and have been looking to up my game when it comes to cutting longer hair with scissors. Most of the cutting I do is with scissors on the top and clippers rounds the sides and back. But occasionally someone will come in with a longer style - like this one - and it can be a little daunting at times. This video offers a simplified, practical way of going about it. Thank you.
Tried this haircut and I loved it. It looks wonderful and it really suits my wavy hair by making them more voluminous and improving the flow to a great degree.
So my wife (who just does my hair for me) used this technique on my hair which I've grown out for the first time ever. We did a little trim to cut the clipper cuts a few months ago and this was the first shape into the flow we wanted. It came out great! I love it. Thanks for the video
Thank you, your videos are super, I am not a professional. I don't even no how to cut hair I do cut my sons hair along with your videos. Thank you for making this wonderful tutorials
I tried to follow the tutorial. I need to watch it a few more times. My husbands' hair was getting really long, so I figured if I messed it up, he could just get it cut shorter. He likes it. I think it could have been better though. The tutorial is great though, I just need more practice.
Stephen, thank you for the tutorial! Answering your question, I'm not a professional but I cut my boyfriend's hair. For us it's a way not only to save money and not even to remain watchable during Covid lockdown, but firstly an act of care, and your videos have been pretty useful. This one in particular, I followed it yesterday to cut my boyfriend's hair and some points became much clearer, like sectioning top-back part when you start layering. Of course, it took me much more time and it wasn't so precise, but the final result was exactly what we wanted to achieve and we love it.
When you were cutting the back, and you explained how to cross-check and cut, by taking diagonal sections and cutting or exposing the hair that still needed to be cut off - you went from the manikin's right side (back) towards the left. So, you don't then take diagonal sections from left side (back) to right?
Great demonstration.. Though I'm just a pure fan, I am glad to guess what are you going to say at every step..also I liked that you didn't use the use the blades or texturing shears at the end maintaining healthy strands.. You just made me curious to know.. How talented you are..
That’s my next hairstyle. I’m so tired of the maintenance my current haircut has, having to blow dry almost everyday. Also, I had mid/longer hair as a kid so I’m giving it a go. I have thick wavy hair and I think it’s going to look good!! 🤞🏻
I just found your channel and I have to say you definitely know what your talking about I’m growing my hair back out at the young age of 50 just a little bit receding and a couple of grey hairs but I’m going for it no more high and tights I’m thinking like the one you cutting now for length my hair is straight any suggestions
When someone is passionate about cutting hair they are just not a hairstylist they are a HairArtist & those are hard to come by Most hairstylist only care about making money & it’s sad but not the Salon Guy you can see he’s passionate & cares about hair, hair cutting, teaching but also humble I’m just sad that he doesn’t live close so he can cut my hair I’ve been letting my hair grow out & when it’s long enough I’ll be showing this video to the hairstylist I go to
So weird how this is currently my exact hair. Might let it grow a bit more so that everything evens out before I cut it to balance it. I love it though, I get so many compliments & there’s so many styles you can wear with this length.
How do you create a side part hairstyle or a pompadour? Do you do the part, then blow dry the hair into place and finally you apply product? Or you apply the product, create the part and finally you blow dry the hair into place?
Love the haircut, currently growing mine out. Can’t tell if I have split ends or not as my hair is fine but have a lot of it. Also could it be just the hairs that were thinner out previously growing out that aren’t as long???
I have a question out of topic, I’ve seen you do the tik tok guy hairstyles but how do you do the curled up bangs. Where the hair is down at the front but goes up? I have trouble getting my hair like that
this is exactly what i want. my hairdresser gave me a short feathered layers haircut and it looks terrible, hope shell understand what i want next time lol
Hair grows (on average) about 1 cm per month (that's about 2/5ths of an inch, says google). Some people have slightly faster growing hair (mine grows faster in summer, it seems). And people with very fine hair may find that wearing scarfs etc in winter wears the ends, so they have trouble growing length. But there's an average for you. I wonder if you've gotten your hair cut by now?
This is exactly the cut I am trying for straight across a good even cut to get rid of my layers my hair is about as short as this mannequins hair on the top is and the hair stylist I am going to are not cutting straight across and they're not cutting my whole hair they're leaving some pieces uncut smh . Because my hair in shorter on the top and longer at the bottom they act like its difficult for them to cut I'm constantly going in for trims but I am NOT getting much of any results😑 I know that it is a process this has been a long process and finding a good stylist again that can cut and deal with a difficult haircut is hard to find😔😕 🤷🤷🤷💇💇💇 I'm thinking about going all one color like a darker color maybe that'll help when I go back for a haircut idk🤷 love this video though.
Arthur Morgan from Red Dead Redemption 2 has has a great hairstyle. It would be awesome if you can make a video on the hairstyle he has at the start of the game.

Reminded me of the entire nirvana crew haircuts
I lov these longer type of haircuts. My bf has one similar to the Anakin Skywalker, Kylo Ren, Ben Barnes, Patrick Swayze 80’s style.
Lexi Scott I love all those styles but I don’t know where to find a good hairstylist like this man
@@variklane7032 I’d make it even worse

This one really comprehensive walkthrough of detail and sectioning. And really great explanation in every part along the video too. Mad props!
Hadn’t had a haircut in almost a year. My hair was so grown out and hard to manage this helped so much. Thanks man
I have had my hair shaped like this while growing it out I called it the Ben Barnes Dorian gray haircut as it is similar to his hair.
So there I am, back of the cab, both of them got their laughing gear round my old single barrel pump action yoghurt rifle.

Can you do the Ben Barnes cut on thicker hair if you are able to? Maybe the bulkier cut he had in Caspian? Love the vids
Great video!!! Very well explained…I used your technique in my little son that loves long hair 😊
Thanks
Been looking at various hairstyles/techniques to give my boyfriend a haircut. I think this one is the winner! Thanks for the tutorial!
Kinda reminds me of Ben Barnes in Dorian Gray and Narnia. Can you do this haircut on thicker hair and with a heavier flow like he had in the films?
I’ve done that in past
Videos
TheSalonGuy you did a Ben Barnes Dorian gray haircut? How come when I search for it on UA-cam I can’t find it
Very Ben Barnes-esque. can you maybe do this cut on thicker hair and with a longer front

I have long hair and want it to look like the manakins hair before you cut it. What would that style be.
"So you are not blow drying your hair all over the place and making a mess out of it" - been there, done that
We all have lol
