As a lighting tech. Do NOT use a xlr cable for a dmx cable. They send two different types of data. Your lights can be off sync with xlr cable.

I certainly would if I had a real lighting system. This small setup works fine with a 50' XLR cable. The new 4Bar systems have gone wireless.

I have this same light bar and my cable to the foot switch went bad. My husband is an electrician and we tested the micro switches on the pedals and they are all good. I ordered what I thought was a replacement cable and the pin connectors were too small in comparison. I like the idea of adding a connector at the foot pedal that I could take off. I can’t seem to find what type of wire you used and the name of the connectors at the ends so I can order them. Help please!

Hey Bob - not trying to rush you, but did you get a chance to find out the connectors and the wire type that I asked you about?

@@MusicByLoriD they are the ones in the link I posted above. I used the wire that came with the 4bar. I didn't change the end that connects to the light bar.
