Max. Not sure if your interested but a lot of stations use 26700-26965 in AM mode here in NA. Also check out 26555. It is the calling frequency for Latin American stations. Might be worth a try if you ever get skip from that region.

Always Interested in Good Info Like That, Thanks. The First is New to Me but Noted. 26.555 LSB I am aware as a Caribbean/North of South America Call Frequency. Last Year I Downloaded a List From Somewhere of a load of "Particular 11m. Frequencies" and have never been too sure how good this was although I do check out as much as possible on SWL at various points of the 24hour day. Interesting what you say there especially if your reference to the 26.555 IS LSB. Thanks for that. Excellent! 73's

Fantastic contact and content, respect. Been going to start something on 26MHz for a while and this has given me the kick up the backside I need. Already messaged a couple of folk up here to test the water but I'll be calling out on 285 a lot from now on.

Back in the 60's/70's here in the States those who had converted Ham rigs, or VFO's (Sliders) added to their CB rigs, usually split it up as below CB for AM, mostly local with Sliders. Above (HF) for SSB, mostly converted Ham rigs, where if the conditions were right you could work the world without congestion. Of course later on when digital synthesizers became prevalent you could lift a pin and ground it through a switch (usually the NB, with NB enabled constantly) to add HF channels to most any CB, usually one with SSB.
    73 Enjoy your fun! mike

Thanks Mike. Yes, back in the 80's I modified a few rigs, PLL re-programming, piggy-back crystal boards and all sorts. I even installed the guts of a 148GTL DX into a Jumbo and had it programmed almost down to 26mhz. Changed days these days. Cheers

Welcome To 11 and a 1/2 Megs. The "Basement" The "Graveyard" Normally quiet but when brown stuff occurs 27.5 ish, T5, THIS is where it is at on 11m and on HF, the best part of the best HF Band. Cheers

Very inspiring. From CD48 in Florida.
I'm also a front liner. I am in patient transportation and we are in a constant battle to stay covid free.
I know 4 people who have been infected with covid-19, unfortunately only 1 survived. I lost 1 great friend and 2 former co workers. They will never be forgotten but it sure hurts not to be able to talk to my friend who paid for the airline ticket for me to come to this country for the first visit. Together we can beat covid but we have to be careful and vigilant. When we protect ourselves we also protect our friends and family.

I have ultimate respect for you my friend and I am humbled by your story. I get so angry when I see people not respecting requirements in this. Thanks very much for your comment here. If only one more person reads it and respects it then it will have made a difference. if one million people show more respect we will all come through this quicker and better. We are ALL "One in Seven Billion" Stay Safe Good Luck. Many thanks again
