meg if you want someone to force you to read in the dream house, i will 😭 i read it a couple of years ago and LOVED IT. deffo listen to the audiobook too it’s incredible!!!!
Dida is gorgeous 🥺🥺 so fluffy I really enjoyed Last Murder at the End of the World. Such an interesting concept, so many layers of mysteries. 4.5 stars
My yearly tbr is always 5 books. 4 I really want to get to and one randomised tbr vet lmao. The rest is half mood reading half matching r/fantasy bingo.
Very fun video. I want to repeat that your memes are just so excellent. I agree, you did well. I basically predicted it. I thought it was 25 total books and I guessed 16 read when you asked for predictions. You did way way way better than I did with my TBR. So I would say you had a successful year in this department. And you have some motivation to get to those ones you missed last year. Thanks for this video Meg!
If it helps, I loved Evelyn hardcastle but didn't like devil in the dark water as much (which I know you loved!) and I enjoyed last murder. Not a new all time fave but it was enjoyable. I probably could have gotten more out of it but I was mid reading slump so it took me a while to get through it.
Fantasy detective fiction: Jim Butcher, The Dresden Files…it will make you laugh, kind of like Terry Pratchett and the Discworld books. This is from you reading Bookshops & Bonedust book, cozy fantasy. I have that one on my TBR and Legends and Lattes. They may be books I will listen to with my husband on drives to and from his work. Oh, if you do think you may try Jim Butcher, I suggest you listen on Audio. Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer is the narrator. As for The Fire Keepers Daughter, I think some people have issue with it because it deals with reservation life. The next book, though I think is a bit better. As a Native American, I can relate to what goes on, and being mixed blood. There were some things I could relate with the heroine of the book. I lived off reservation, and at times I feel a bit like an outsider when I am on the rez.
Quick footnote: I have three hours, three different hour long Lucy Worsley-led documentaries about Agatha Christie‘s life on my DVR. I’m gonna watch them, but I really hope she doesn’t spoil any books in them. I think it’s mostly biography so I think I’m safe, but I will definitely have an ear out for approaching spoilers.
I’d also love for you to read Just for the Summer as your first 2025 read! I adored it. R.K. Ashwick is the only author I’ve loved cozy fantasy from just as much as Travis Baldree.
Please don’t read Last Murder At the End of the World first for 2025, I’m not prepared to see so many dreams crushed at once. I think Just For the Summer is a great contender or another Jane Austen.
I agree, I did enjoy it to start with, and then it got to a point where I was just getting frustrated and fed up, and then the reveal was just a let down. I’ve read 21 of my 24 for this year,
Hi! One question and one comment. Question: Are those the Sony headphones? Are they comfortable on the ear (I hate when headphones say they're over ear, but are actually ON ear and press down uncomfortably)? Comment: your kitty is soooooo gorgeous!! Give her a ton of kisses for me!!
I feel like you need to let Holly Jackson be Holly Jackson. You don’t know how much research she did for her books set in the US. Perhaps you don’t get the book because you don’t understand the US. Just sayin… Food for thought.
I’d love to see a video of you trying to read some books from your 2025 list towards the middle-end of the next year
Yes to this!!!
Dida is such a little queen! she knows she's gorgeous
The purrs at the beginning felt like a hug THANK YOU PRINCESS DIDA 🙌
meg if you want someone to force you to read in the dream house, i will 😭 i read it a couple of years ago and LOVED IT. deffo listen to the audiobook too it’s incredible!!!!

WAAAAIT! Was the uk version of A Good Girl's Guide to Murder set in England??? 😮 I'm gonna need to read that version!
I LOVED Just For The Summer! It’s my favorite Abby Jimenez so far!
Bless you for giving us Dida kisses!! 😍
I feel like you’re really going to love just for the summer, it’s super good, you should totally make it your first book of 2025!
Im in the US,but I trusted your opinion on the UK Good Girls vs. US and I ordered mime from Waterstones! Read and loved!
Well done! 🙌🙌🙌

I enjoyed Last murder at the end of the World, the pov is very unique. I would recommend anyone read it for that alone
Read Just for the Summer for your first book of 2025!! It’s amazing

You did way better than me.
I had 24 books I planned to read this year. I finished five.
Did dnf some, but mostly, I just never picked them up.
I loved Wrong Place Wrong Time. Just another missing person was meh.
I’d also love for you to read Just for the Summer as your first 2025 read! I adored it.
R.K. Ashwick is the only author I’ve loved cozy fantasy from just as much as Travis Baldree.
If you struggle to fit these books in a video you can always do a vlog reading the 2024 books from that list you didnt get to !
Tell the babies 🐈 I said hi!!! ❤
I've read 10 out of 24 this year hahaha, hopefully it will be 11 by the end of the year.
Please don’t read Last Murder At the End of the World first for 2025, I’m not prepared to see so many dreams crushed at once. I think Just For the Summer is a great contender or another Jane Austen.

I’ve read 21 of my 24 for this year,
I'm going with 18. Half is 12 so therefore 18 seems quite a good guess. If not 18 then 16
I love your beautiful baby! I have two, Smokey, 12 and Dolly 1! 😻😻
📚📚✨
24 in 2024? I think maybe I read four...

You are 💯 % correct about Travis Baldreee.
I'm guessing you've read 16 of them.
**Edit** I was almost correct!
My guess is that you've read 13.
