Steve this was an outstanding video , you are a very effective teacher. Your comments, on screen notes and explanations are spot on Thank you for taking the time and sharing your deep knowledge of the Delta. All the best to you Steve
Very valuable information Steve, thank you for sharing. Lots of people talk about lures, but on the Delta almost no one talks about where and why to fish a spot where that knowledge is everything!
Another great video on how to use currents eddies and cuts to your advantage. What would be maybe more helpful to me instead of trying to explain when your on your boat would be a topographical look of that area your explaining and place arrows of current flow direction channels depth’s etc. Not sure how hard that would be or how time consuming for you it would be but that is something I would think some of your prescribers would be very interested in. As always Steve Thank you for your time and sharing your knowledge of fishing of us.
Cut 1 Scene 2 and ACTION LoL ,,thanks you Mr Sir for breaking down the prime time locations....Greatly Appreciate Ya ....I keep saying I need to branch out and fish different areas / launch out of different ramps and just spend a day looking / exploring these of areas , pay more atten to water flow directions etc etc... but to often I get stuck On stupid .. drop the trolling motor and start fishing/hoping for a bite ...I always look fwd to Your Informative reports and have learned alot .. KEEP emptying your Juice Box Lord knows I need it 😎 👊🤟
Love this one! One of your best. Learning to recognize fish behavior in and around the water moving through theses cuts is a huge advantage. Thanks! 🔥🔥🔥
As usual friend, exceptional information! So easy to understand and builds the tool kit for those of us eagerly learning...thanks again for quality footage.
Doing well other than WAITING for my truck repairs to be completed. So far, repairs just broke the 5k mark for the damage from blow out. Boat goes in shop when truck is back, hope to be back on water end of next week for some fall bite fishing. Thanks for asking.
Great video. I just got back from finishing the delta and having watched this video, I'm rearing to get back out there and see if I can apply these tactics.
Always good info. Steve a little off topic. Looks to me that your boat is a Vexus boat. Was wondering if you could talk about how you like boat. How does it handle rough water. I’m strongly looking on buying my first new boat. Upgrading from what I have. JUST BOATS AINT CHEEP. And it’s not like you can go test drive one. Fish on. Thanks… Thanks .
Thanks for the support Rubin. I will do a review on the vexus this winter. I would be happy to talk with you -send me your contact info if you have questions and if you get serious we can go out and take a test drive. Thanks again for watching.
Hello Steve, I do see 99.9% of all you show on UA-cam. Always have good information, I don’t get on the water as much as I would like with a hectic life. But the water is my therapy and catching fish is the reward. Ruben Sanchez RS HEATING & AIR INC 1-209-605-5623 Thanks…🎣
Thank you Steve ! I have fished that area quite a bit and want to ask about lower tide near low slack tide. I’ve caught many in that last cut on Mildred. On low tide would I find those fish outside of Mildred or inside in deeper area? Also if you fish those flooded timber behind you it’s been good to me. I’ll be out tomorrow afternoon, maybe it will be a good day.
I like fishing the inside on that cut at both high and low tide for both stripers and large mouth. Sometimes the out side will hold stripers but I do most of my catching on the inside. The flooded timber was better for me a few years ago. I still like to fish the timber at night. The fish are still there, they are just easyer to catch at night.
The way you approach each cut is different. I guess the best way to look at it is first, try to determine the bait that will best cover the water, then put your plan in place to make your approach. It's not an exact science and you tend to learn from mistakes. Hope that helps. Let me know how you do.
@@indeeponthedeltawithstevec5997 One reason, I love your channel is that you tell it like it is. You don't just show your double digit bass. With this crazy weather transitions, its going to take a minute to find the pattern. I watch your channel religiously waiting for you to find it. Keep it up!

Are you reeling in your lure with the current or against the current?
