I was going to say the same i used to go to a rc car hobby shop when I was little and they had a Jeff Gordon Monte Carlo shell in the parking lot and my first rc car was a traxxas dale truck from them and they closed down back in 2016 (haven’t been able too find a hobby shop as good as they were since in nj lol

It’s not a museum exhibit, it’s a cool vehicle that should be used, I agree that using it as it was intended could be the death of it and think this is a great idea to get it back being used and creating great content, I look forward to the time lapse Tye fab videos.

In Thailand we run solid axle swaps on our diesel drag trucks running about 3.5-4khp the ford front diffs run good till about 2000hp plenty of after market support and that’ll definitely keep up with that beauty of a t case

Please, please, PLEASE, will you try to keep the same style exhaust? That is the sickest exhaust, it fits the truck so well!
I think Cleet said in the video they were going twin turbo. The NASCAR exhaust won't work with the turbos.
@ourtexasfamilyvideos62 it could potentially be done. Ride height and physical space might be a factor. I suppose twin Nascar exhausts would be much easier though.

As a 63 year old race car fabricator I’m sooo jealous of Ty and what he and the others get to do with all these builds!
I'm a young fabrication worker and I'm jealous of his welds and skill are insane. He actually is pushing me more to learn everything I can because of him! He's awesome ❤
Cleetus is living the dream life for sure, if I ever came into like 10m+ I'd be doing something similar, employing all of my best buds to help build whatever wild idea we can dream of or a customers! That airfield will cover Alot of overhead id imagine overtime.
He built his worth and he is very open about it. He takes risks and sometimes it works for him

Something that I’ve always been wanting to hear on your channel no prep racing wether it be at a track or on the street has always been one of my favorite things to watch glad to see this channel getting more into it and would love to see you incorporate some of the tin soldier racing low prep rear components into this truck they work wonders

If you’re trying for 2000hp + and you don’t want to have to worry about the front diff, solid axle swap is your answer. Diesel drag race guys put 3-4k hp through “stock” dodge front and rear axles on 5-8k lbs trucks. Plenty of after market support, and the axles and parts are readily available. Will match the strength of the rear end and that drop box/transfer case. If you want to talk with someone about it, talk to firepunk diesel. They have had a diesel truck go 3’s in the 1/8th so they know what they’re doing

100% no, especially when you know your boss is the one editing the videos.. having to pay attention to the cameras sucks, having to make sure people can see what your working on makes some tasks insanely more difficult then they need to be(you know people will complain if they can't), having to watch what you say because you know it's on camera sucks, not being able to listen to music in the shop because it's being recorded sucks. on paper it might be a good idea but in reality it's complete hell. try doing your job knowing you're being recording every minute of your day 5 days a week and that it's going to be posted for everyone to see whether you like it or not.
You are NOT ruining it at all!!! You are bringing it into modern physical and mechanical operations!!!

I have always loved the dale trucks na setup, and missed it on the channel. At first I was like nah don’t do that, but after finishing the video I’m really excited. Great plan and good work guys
Giving it a new life is sooo much better than sitting around collecting dust and to the point it couldn't pull itself into the shop, I wouldn't sweat it Cleet, this is an absolute badass idea and should exceed our expectations.

@@christianshadrick1150 It's a performance motor that's been sat up pretty much to rot, and I dont think the ethanol was helping it. But sure.
@@cashMAN62if definitely clogged up the injectors. Ethanol is nasty when sitting around. That engine is still prime, it just needs a new home.
I am a born and raised circle track guy. Dale was/ is my hero,and I don't have a problem one with this transformation. It's gonna be amazing. Hell yea brother 💯 💪 ✨️

3300 with driver is my initial guess. Now, Tye could go completely ham with cutting it up and get it crazy light, but it will take a while to do it.
The amount of project you have is insane! Airport,McFlurry,Dale Truck, Fierro, New 5sec Car, Consuela, plus maintaining everything already in the shop is insane and I’m here for everything 🇺🇸

Typical GM junk. Badmouth the Ford and GM stuff blows up, nothing new! Every brand they have has blown up but the GM Chevy junk leads in blowing up. Remember when George cranked his truck, revved it up a bit and it slung rods out the block? The Chevy guys like to badmouth the Fords, but the LS engines are the ones being changed out more often!

What I fail to mention is my beautiful “Ole Blue” 63 Gmc longish bed with a 327 out of an old Corvette! If you can't find a person for that last induction inducer! I have the perfect American dream for it to be the starting “stepping” stone!

The Dale truck is my favorite sounding machine in the fleet. Hope y'all keep the turbos UNDER the hood and run em out the old boom tubes! Real happy to see it getting attention again but now I gotta go back and watch the old videos amd hear that sweet freedom song. Also, kick some TX ass!
Some very cool builds at McFarland Racing. Leroy gets some skin. McFlurry goes fast. A titanium 5 second car to replace Mullet. And a very fast 4x4 drag truck. Whew!

Down here in Aus, back in the day at least, it was an uncomfortable fact for Holden (GM) guys, that a Ford nine inch was the way to go for a diff. They just made bullet proof drive lines. Actually we also used a Ford steel crank when modifying Holden in-line 6's as well.

Dale was a car/truck guy. Your doing cool things with this truck and updating/modernizing it. Not using it is probably the worst transgression. I don't see any way he would be upset about this and anyone that would be upset needs to re-evaluate whats important in life. Looking forward to the build as always.

I saw that transfer case and immediately said Hell Yeah! Hope it still ends up able to turn nicely though...definitely keep the boom tubes (but an old vid shows they're damaged, get it fixed!)

Every time I see the dale truck, it gives me nostalgic feelings for back in the day when my dad would take me to sears to pick up some tool and we’d watch dale clean up on the track that Sunday afternoon. Keep the dale truck content coming
