I really like how the sneak attack of Furnace was done here. In the original it's a very quick "blink and you'll miss it" moment. Here it's simultaneously a lot more subtle but alot more important. Furnace is hidden by the UI or the camera for 90% of the time he's under the road but he actually affects the song so you can hear him sneaking under the racetrack
he actually said in another comment that the last part was just lag
But somehow it worked with the song better than the fast original one
So it was just a mistake that made the song better
Yeah Furnace has always interested me in the Starved lore, seemingly a creation trying to not fail his creator as given in the beginning but not lacking some emotion if you get what I mean
This is great and all, but I personally prefer the “blink and you’ll miss it” aspect, since it more feels like Starved is tricking Sonic.
I like this more than it how it was supposed to be a “blink and you’ll miss it” moment. As Sonic seems to doing a faster run going off the run animation, so it would make sense for Furnace to need time to actually get ahead enough to do the sneak attack.

The fact that Furnace stays under the runway to sing against sonic is an AMAZING touch, is the icing on the cake for this already perfect remix.

I really like how in this remix sonic gets to look at furnace for a split second before his doom.
I'm going to be honest that is just lag lmao BUT I think it works because you get to actually see the impact happen
@@A2music I'd love to see someone make a edit where Sonic can be seen split in half in slow motion from the impact, as a black silhouette against the red screen. That honestly would look so god damn cool.

@@bababooey5402 I always thought the fast impact with a flying metal duplicate caused sonic to be crushed under his and furnaces inertia.
I love all the small details, like how its actually in the sound test menu, the new dialog from V2, seeing Furnace show up early during his dialog, Starved's animation timings changed slightly to fit the re-recorded lines of V2, hearing Furnace faintly sing with Starved at parts with ghost notes, and the freeze frame of the impact at the end all make this very cinematic
Thats not even talking about the remix itself, which is also really really good

Furnace's voice was one of my favourites to work with, thank you! Also I have no idea why those other furnace lines went unused, I think they fit quite well.

I love how to lines of Dialoge tell us that while furnace has sentience, he is completely loyal to eggman.
2:30 I love how right here as Furnace holds their right note anim and slowly falls behind it seems as if they are desperately trying to reach sonic like they are running out of fuel, I kinda like that tho giving their line at the beginning is them literally convincing themself they won’t let Eggman down

This is absolutely fucking incredible; I doubt that there's going to be a remix that even comes remotely CLOSE to this unless there's a Remix mod like D-sides that will pick it up, but I think even then this is still gonna be the best one.
The added dialogue and tweaked cutscenes really added on to the experience.
Robotnik's dialogue section was better than v1 and v2's, hands down.
Kronoto's remix is pretty good too

Dude the chase scene with both furnace and starved singing is brilliant. One of the best remixes of this song I’ve hear hands down! 👌

I love how Furnace sticks around below to help Robotnik for a bit before then rushing ahead of them.

Whenever I listen to this I'm like damn prey is such a good song, and then i remember this is a remix that I think it's the original one. I believe this to be the definitive version of prey. I've been listening to it since it came out a month ago almost two now.

3:35 is probably my favorite part, but the entire cover is probably one of my favorite remixes ive ever listened to
you know... "Hunt" is goo remix, but i cant say that he can replace original.
But DAMN this is still good, custom voice lines and re-make of old ones
and couple of other details, like
1) loud "BEEP" after Eggman laugh, like real battle just begins
2)Furnace stealth singing good touch to illustrate that furnace's survived through music
2:51 i like the beep that transitions into the second phase.

The next uploaded remix has been decided by the poll I posted yesterday, but I figured I'd say I'm planning on remixing running wild instead of heroes and villains (I like running wild more, and I'm not sure about finding the voice lines and things like that.) Fun fact Looking at the color scheme of the level that’s the bad future for stardust speedway so sonic didn’t destroy the robot generators. so who knows maybe sonic could’ve had better odds if he got the good future

It's from my first mod, Vs. Delay Lama. I'm using that engine to make this Sonic.exe remix stuff! I guess that's the only way you can use it right now, because it's source code stuff. Also thank you!

@@BJoji128 yeah there definitely is. You'd just make some lua text on the hud and have it update with function onUpdate() whenever the values change. It also has a bunch of settings and other source code things I added with it, so it would take a bit to iron out with lua. For now I'm leaving it as source, but I might make a lua script pack for some of my source code stuff because It would be able to work (though I'd have to make it with new lua because this engine uses v0.5.2 and updating my source code is stupid so I don't feel like it)
