I was gonna complain about how there’s no fucking way Super Sonic would die from Furnace, but now that you explain the ring count part, it makes much more sense now.
A lot of people are saying his ring count ran out. Well. For one. It'd be at zero anyway from the intial clash with Furnace. So my assumption is the Time stones activated from him going super. Giving him a glimpse of the bad ending which is why we see it in the ENDING. And once he sees said ending after losing all his rings he taps into super, his sheer determination and adrenaline keeping the form going. The "crash" could be his thought process of what would've happened if he didn't transform. And hes singing in the end. So that further proves he had to have escaped
Honestly, i feel like with how much the timestones are being messed with- it's going to eventually lead into a future where starved is no longer going to be able to win, in a way setting the timeline right.
Since this is happening after sonic 1 and kinda between sonic cd i dont think that sonic could transform into super sonic bc it would need the chaos emeralds. But i like your you idea
I am going to be honest, this is the best remix of prey I have heard. You literally added a whole new section to the song which fits really well. You should try making more sonic.EXE related remixes. Keep up the great work!
Prey is one of the best songs in this mod imo, the atmosphere and furnace itself being so intimidating. This song as a whole got a sense of dread in it that I can't find in other weeks.
I feel like this should be the "Good" future remix of this song Because in the orginal dr eggman had the time stones, perhaps this could be an alternative version where sonic collected all of the time stones and was able to turn super while furnace catches him. It would be a nice change, and it would give you an excuse to make a "bad future" of this song where sonic doesn't have the time stones and gets caught And when he gets caught you can add another part of the song where he sings while trying to escape from furnaces grasp Although, seeing how he already lost in this version its not like you can get rid of this and redo it Regardless, good remix but it would've been neat if you did that
the bad future version would be quite longer, as Furnace is even faster now (so fast he doesnt spew out so much fire out of himself when running, also more resistent so he wont give up chase so quickly.), and not only that, he has the chaos emeralds, so if Sonic were to get some running shoes and constant speedy thingies, Furnace could simply go super form and make Sonic struggle with him, eventually Starved appears (with Furnace having to back out because Starved ordered him to do so), he'd look very insane, his "skin" got a darker reddish tone, Eventually Furnace grabs Sonic and the last part of the song starts, where Furnace is holding sonic while blasting through multiple walls with his insane speed, due to Sonic's resistance against being put inside of Furnace. however, eventually Sonic falls unconscious, allowing Furnace to cook Sonic.
This is amazing. Im pretty sure in the creepypasta its confirmed sonic died on impact with furnace but maybe being super made him last a little longer. great remix!
This shows how oblivious and cocky Sonic is. He's unaware of what became the animals and is not even concerned of Furnace is different from the Mecha Sonic series or that he's designs as literal furnace. Then when he saw Starved Eggman, he's not even suspicious of his appearance and rotten smell, or how menacing he is. And to add this further, Sonic took no notice the Badniks are armed with flamethrowers and none has animal inside to power it. So his death was due of him not taking the strange scenario seriously. Now seeing this version, Sonic must've brought the Chaos Emeralds because he's sensing something isn't right in the timeline and getting deja vu a lot. Unfortunately he still died because he did not take this seriously and allowed the time limit be expired.
I like the idea of an alternate take on the starved story. Makes me wonder how it could've gone if things played out a bit differently. In any case, very fun remix to an already great track

yeah that was what i was thinking maybe an alternate timeline where sonic found the 7th emerald before sonic 2 and used it to see what would happen if he used it along with the other 6 and of corse super form and he didn't really expect it so he would think when furnace hit him he would still die or something but because of super's invincibility he survived and counter attacked being able to escape Starved and thus warn people about him thus making a good future
Ok here me out, If your playing prey and you miss a single not you get the bad ending where Furnace kills sonic. But if you hit every single not perfectly Sonic manages to dodge Furnace then go Super Sonic. (If it was up to me once he goes super Sonic would win and survive)
The ending reminds me of the fact Redhead has the time stones, and can keep eating Sonic over and over forever. The instrumental is reminiscent of the beginning, kind of implying that Hedgehog's unknown fate is looking the same events over and over, a fate that Redhead *does* know.
You know people keep saying super sonic would have run out of rings, but really he could probably just beat furnace and eggman before his ring count go down enough, but considering how sonic was on the near death he was probably lucid dreaming or something similar to it. Anyway i do want to see a good future, and i mean a ACTUAL good future in fact this is my issue with starved in the first place, not only furnace shouldn't outpace sonic even if he slowed down a bit, sonic probably would still be the one to collect the time stones in the first place, just because eggman started taking stuff more serious after eating the flicky don't mean he shouldn't have problems to get the time stones similar to how he does in the canon timeline, i still feel like sonic would get the time stones, and save everyone. Man imagine starved as a actual fangame, you still travel to the past to destroy the generators but the bad future stages having cook themed badniks made to burn and kill sonic, if you don't collect the time stones you die to furnace but if you have them sonic saves himself by using them to transport him back to the past in the last second and now he no longer dies because he know eggman tricks. If you want to go the 100% fanfic route you could say after sonic 1 ending sonic would have got the emeralds again, making him turn into super sonic for a short period of time since he only has 6 instead of 7 emeralds but still being enough time to beat furnace and eggman (this is assuming you can transform super with only 6 emeralds instead of 7 which considering how mecha sonic did something similar in sonic 3 & k but with the master emerald i would say yes). TLDR:I dislike starved story because it feel like stuff eggman would never succeed on doing even if he took said stuff more seriously, i also don't like how sonic in the mod at least seems more like his sonic adventure personality rather than his more classic-ish personality, don't get me wrong i like starved and furnace concepts (even if making him red and making him lose facial hair don't make sense other than "haha spooky") but i don't like how the team executed said concepts.

I think egg man brought him back to his base after that which explained why he still spoke after that until dying to blood loss for starved to eat him
I love how Super Sonic is added into this, but it also makes Sonic dying not make sense, since Super Sonic can run circles around the upgraded Furnace, and is nigh-invincible. I feel like it'd have been a neat twist to actually have Starved and Furnace be the ones destroyed, being that Sonic, for the first time ever, would have to take a life but for the greater good. I also feel like Super Sonic wouldn't make that much sense in CD as there were Time Stones and not Chaos Emeralds, though then again you could also say that in this timeline, before the events of CD, Sonic had collected the Chaos Emeralds for safe keeping and had found the Seventh in that time as well, which he brought along with him; though there is a fanmade Time Stone form of Sonic called Miracle Sonic that could be used as well. Just a thought

Well if Starved continues to use the time stones to consume sonic over and over, eventually he'll lose. its statistically impossible that he doesn't, cause sonic is able to win as super sonic, he could literally tear a hole through both furnace and starved but it's just up to when he reaches the timeline wherein he wins.
the reason i think eggman was able to defeat super sonic so easily was because sonic only just transformed & found out about this new power of his and didn't properly understand how it worked yet... and thus led to sonic being defeated not knowing how his new powers work.
Idea how to possibly get this ending: put around 55 special ring notes to the chart that add up to a ring counter, if you collect at least 50 rings you can turn into super sonic at the end of the song
Im not one to complain, this is 100% one of the BEST remixes, a twist i didnt expect, and a BANGING remix trust me. But i have just 2 nitpicks: 1, Wouldn't Super Sonic's speed just, zoom him past Eggman and Furnace? 2, Wouldn't Sonic just, escape? He realizes the situation, right? He almost DIED. There is only one reasonable explanation… Sonic almost died and turned into super sonic and instead of running away he thought he had it under control and he goes a “bit” faster while throwing bad jokes and taunting them until…o nO he ran out of rings and was bodied again by furnace because compared to eggman he is faster and catched up to him.
Because when you listen to the super sonic part they slow down there singing and eggman just stops singing at the end. (Maybe super sonic notices his rings running out and starts picking up speed but runs out and because furnace is apparently faster than sonic he grabs him and sumo slams him) Why did I say furnace because after he is done singing you hear a crash soo I believe that either starve had a trap if sonic ever makes it or furnace grabs him

I like the idea that each prey remix is starved going back in time and that sonic learns more and more each time because starved cannot keep up the exact same performance each time so eventually, sonic will break the cycle and win
I don't usually comment on videos but, I think the part with Super Sonic is just what sonic is happening is all in his head cause he already died after encountering Furnace the 2nd time.
Actually I would like to see the mechanics of collecting rings so that the song continues for a while and we become Super Sonic, but in the end we all died.
I feel sonic could actually have gotten away here, because yes while he can be quick to rush into things (which I feel like he tried to at first shouting “now I’ll show you!”) he can take hints when he is in over his head, I believe he would have the thought process of knowing this form was out of luck and wasn’t going to last him long so he had to get out of there. The “crash” we heard could just be him hitting furnace or starved back so he could build distance as they would have to stop. The ending being a fractured timeline, essentially flashing images of what was supposed to happen but something different happened it was changed, either by sonics will alone or he got some unknown and unseen assistance; Sonic lived. Which I can also say the ending tune Sonic sounding dreary because he knows that could have been it for him he could have very well died (or maybe realizing what truly was happening and that his friends could be gone) and now the adrenaline from the battle is over that fact is setting in. And the way the music is and how Starved says “you don’t even know your fate hedgehog” could imply he’s watching Sonic getting away though of course this wouldn’t be over.
I’m pretty sure the last two segments are alternate endings to the song based on how the player does in the first two segments of the song, and not a linear chain of events, but I could be wrong.
A potentially good ending was at hand, Sonic rushes towards the end but the clock has stopped ticking, he turns back to normal and is quickly decimated. The grand ending was nowhere near at hand than before, the good ending has fallen. Will it be grabbed and pulled to Sonic and so the good ending comes? Or will it end in shambles once more...
I love the remix absolutely, the only thing that makes me mad is the thing that Sonic don't use his Super form to destroy the Eggmobile or Furnace immediately as he could have done, if he at least get rid of Furnace he could have survive

I like the idea of a different version for Prey what if Sonic brought the chaos emeralds during the fight and became super when rap battle with Starved Eggman? That means he could avoid getting rammed by furnace and probably would have led to a second song. Because it's Canon to this version of Sonic that starved Eggman took the time stones to constantly reverse time to continuous his endless hunger, but if that's the case and he didn't took the chaos emeralds then Sonic just has to Sonic CD this all over again and prevent Eggman from eating that charred corpse of a flicky

I'm fairly certain that sonic doesn't actually die, he has the time stones too apparently, and the chaos emeralds plus time stones allows both sonic and starved to see what would happen if sonic didnt have the emeralds and time stones. Which is the original song. This could be false as it is taken from another video of this remix.
I really doubt it, since brains are not that common for eating, only animal I can think of that has a dish like that is the monkey, not saying I doubt that starved would eat it but he would have to cook sonic first so he would have to be dead

I also feel like Super Sonic wouldn't make that much sense in CD as there were Time Stones and not Chaos Emeralds, though then again you could also say that in this timeline, before the events of CD, Sonic had collected the Chaos Emeralds for safe keeping and had found the Seventh in that time as well, which he brought along with him; though there is a fanmade Time Stone form of Sonic called Miracle Sonic that could be used as well. Just a thought

the reason i think eggman was able to defeat super sonic so easily was because sonic only just transformed & found out about this new power of his and didn't properly understand how it worked yet... and thus led to sonic being defeated not knowing how his new powers work.

Im not one to complain, this is 100% one of the BEST remixes, a twist i didnt expect, and a BANGING remix trust me. But i have just 2 nitpicks:
1, Wouldn't Super Sonic's speed just, zoom him past Eggman and Furnace?
2, Wouldn't Sonic just, escape? He realizes the situation, right? He almost DIED. So any sane person... would just run away?

There is only one reasonable explanation…
Sonic almost died and turned into super sonic and instead of running away he thought he had it under control and he goes a “bit” faster while throwing bad jokes and taunting them until…o nO he ran out of rings and was bodied again by furnace because compared to eggman he is faster and catched up to him.
Because when you listen to the super sonic part they slow down there singing and eggman just stops singing at the end. (Maybe super sonic notices his rings running out and starts picking up speed but runs out and because furnace is apparently faster than sonic he grabs him and sumo slams him)
Why did I say furnace because after he is done singing you hear a crash soo I believe that either starve had a trap if sonic ever makes it or furnace grabs him
Or he just starts slowing down like listen to the song he starts singing fast and slows down drastically

Actually I would like to see the mechanics of collecting rings so that the song continues for a while and we become Super Sonic, but in the end we all died.
I feel sonic could actually have gotten away here, because yes while he can be quick to rush into things (which I feel like he tried to at first shouting “now I’ll show you!”) he can take hints when he is in over his head, I believe he would have the thought process of knowing this form was out of luck and wasn’t going to last him long so he had to get out of there. The “crash” we heard could just be him hitting furnace or starved back so he could build distance as they would have to stop. The ending being a fractured timeline, essentially flashing images of what was supposed to happen but something different happened it was changed, either by sonics will alone or he got some unknown and unseen assistance; Sonic lived. Which I can also say the ending tune Sonic sounding dreary because he knows that could have been it for him he could have very well died (or maybe realizing what truly was happening and that his friends could be gone) and now the adrenaline from the battle is over that fact is setting in. And the way the music is and how Starved says “you don’t even know your fate hedgehog” could imply he’s watching Sonic getting away though of course this wouldn’t be over.

I like the idea of a different version for Prey what if Sonic brought the chaos emeralds during the fight and became super when rap battle with Starved Eggman? That means he could avoid getting rammed by furnace and probably would have led to a second song.
Because it's Canon to this version of Sonic that starved Eggman took the time stones to constantly reverse time to continuous his endless hunger, but if that's the case and he didn't took the chaos emeralds then Sonic just has to Sonic CD this all over again and prevent Eggman from eating that charred corpse of a flicky
