I was actually surprised by how lightweight the cerave daily moisturizing lotion is. I expected it to feel very "lotion"-y like a typical sunscreen but it's much more comfortable!

Due to the price for the little you get compared to other Cerave moisturizers that don’t have the addition of niacinamide, I HATED how much I LOVED this moisturizer. Every time I switched back to the lotion I looked in the mirror and said “no.” I just can’t help it. It’s simply the best.

Im a middle age guy and used many moisturisers over the years and recently started using this! I absolutely love it, so light year so moisturising and didn’t leave my face like an oil slick! Been using this about 4 weeks and noticed a difference in my skin, just looks more healthy and I swear the fine lines around my eyes look slightly less noticeable!
I rarely repurchase any skin care as I’m always wanting to try something new and try to find one I love...: This is one do those, I’ve ordered two more today! Best I’ve tried in all my 40 plus years!

This is one of the best moisturizers available. Better than high end. I have not used it all winter because I thought I needed something more heavy, like the Cerave Skin Renewing Night Cream or the Acure Radically Rejuvenating Whipped Night Cream, but I have been incorporating Cerave PM back into my skincare and I think my skin stays more hydrated with this incredibly lightweight lotion!
Going to get this now! It’s good to know the formulation is gel-like because that is my favorite!

This moisturizer, along with all the other Cerave products I have switched to since seeing your videos, is my favorite. It absolutely is worth the price, and compared to others I have spent far too much money on, this really has been the best for my ultra oily skin. I use it morning and night, with SPF in the am on top. Thank you as always for the excellent review!

@@irisolguin I have tried a couple that Abbey recommends. As a teacher wearing a mask all day my favorite is the Color Science that she talks about in many of her videos. It’s a bit more expensive, but I’ve had the bottle since June and it’s still more than half full. I also like the Australian Gold, but it gets all over the inside of my masks.

Hope you don't mind my jumping in to add to Abbey's response! Yes, the only reason it has "PM" in its name is because it doesn't contain UV filters like their AM version. I think the AM version is unusable, so I just use the PM whenever I want and then layer my own sunscreen over it.

Great video Abbey! I love this moisturizer! I use it in the AM as I want to layer it with a separate SPF. I prefer it that way and dont really like moisturizers with SPF in them. Instead I layer with a dedicated SPF like Supergoop or Dr Cureacle.

I have swtiched to the Vanicream lite lotion for my face. I seem to have good result from it. Perhaps less oil sheen on my forehead later in the day than compared to Cerave PM. I only use a very small dot of moisturizer of Vanicream lite on my forehead, and about 3/4 of a pump of my face/neck.
Will be switching back to Cerave PM once my vanicream lite bottle is finished to see how it affects my skin

This stuff set my face on fire. I do not know why. I have only been able to use Clinique Moisture Surge. Everything else I have tried breaks me out! My skin is so sensitive.
Shoot! I have seen comments from some that are sensitive to Niacinamide! Could be why

I love this moisturizer! I have dry, sometimes sensitive skin and I reacted (not badly, but my skin burned a bit) to the CeraVe daily moisturizing lotion. I then tried this one and my face felt great. I think it was the addition of niacinimide.

Would love a in-depth review of australian gold given how popular it is! Especially showing reapplications. Mine tends to oxidize/get orange throughout the day and cling to dry patches/fine lines, but would love to hear your experience with it and any tips.
I have the Walmart generic version of this product and LOVE it.
I’ve been using Walmart’s version of the hydrating cleanser but had no idea they had a dupe of the pm moisturizer!
The Walmart (Equate Beauty) version of the Cerave Daily Moisturizing Lotion (12 oz) is awesome too!
Are they really identical ingredient wise??
@@2010Elinor the Equate Beauty Daily Moisturizing Lotion is pretty darn similar to the Cerave PM moisturizer in terms of ingredients, and it's not even meant to be a dupe. I haven't compared ingredients of both PM moisturizers, but I'd guess they're pretty similar if a different Equate lotion is so close to the PM moisturizer (does that make sense?)

i commented under your other comment but yes my face is oily and i used it last night and it made me burn now lately my skin has been sensitive and i thought it was just that but now i see others saying the same thing
The equate ceramide pm lotion is almost an EXACT dupe at Walmart for $6. Literally the same product but I do find it more gentle for some reason - try that it’s amazing!

It can but this also is not the most intensely moisturizing so you may want something thicker!
One of the best moisturizers I've ever used in my life. Love its consistency more than anything else. It's just perfect while applying on your face. However, while doesn't irritate my eyes, it gives me a burning sensation under my eyelids the next morning. And I don't even use it in the eye area. Anyone else experienced the same?
Maybe the are under your eyelids is sensitive?
@@mrcello5399 it could be. I have the Sjögren syndrome, which causes chronic dry eyes and mucous membranes, among a few other symptoms.

YES. That's literally why I'm watching reviews of this moisturizer-this just started happening to me (I've been using it for like 3-4 weeks) and I'm trying to figure out why. My under-eyes burn really bad immediately when I put on the moisturizer, and also throughout the day they remain very sensitive and tender to the touch. I wonder if I have an allergy to niacinamide or something
@@moonbread2334 I thought just the same: an allergy to niacinamide. As much as I love the moisturizer, I had to give up and stop using it, given that when I wrote my first comment I was still working from home, and therefore didn't worry much about burning under-eyes. However, a few months later I had to come back to office once more, and it felt really uncomfortable when having to interact with people in the "real world" again 😁 I still miss how good it was for my skin, though. Never found another one half as effective.
Hey, i have semi-oily/acne prone skin that breaks out easily sm, would this work for my skin type? Alsooo i prefer a more moistrised dewy finish so is this moistriser mattyfying or does it leave that moistrised feeling
I also use this daily(I do add a little regular moisturizer if I need some more hydration). I love this stuff!

So I finally tried this… And I really, really enjoy it! I’m wondering though? It has hyaluronic acid, do I need to add a hydrating serum like the ordinary hyaluronic acid on damp skin before this moisturizer or do you think this moisturizer alone on damp skin would be fine? I’m trying to be careful I don’t overload on hyaluronic acid because it’s in every product, it seems, nowadays!

Can anybody tell if this product clogs the pore? Many say that this clogs. I have been using it but I can't really tell anything.

I adore this moisturizer!!! Its my HOLY GRAIL moisturizer! On the days I use Tretinoin I use Cosrx 96 Snail mucin + squalene drops as my nighttime moisturizer!!!

So this moisturizer and cetaphil's daily hydrating lotion seem to work fine for me but sometimes I feel like I need extra hydration but I'm acne prone so worried about clogged pores. Do you sometimes use the CeraVe moisturizing lotion instead when you need more hydration and does it irritate or cause any acne and does it provide more hydration than the PM? I'm also curious about vanicream since my skin is sensitive. Thank you in advance 🙂

Please help, can Differin be used 2/3 times a week and Tretinoin be used 1 time a week while getting your skin prepared for the translation to prescription strength? I am using the products to work on preventing skin cancer as well as anti-aging. I just am not sure if I can use one with the other in the same week or if I have to stop the Differin all together. I wouldn’t think it would hurt anything, but I remember you talking about them both. Thank you. 💗

I use this after the cerave cleansing bar hoping it don't break me out. I've tried everything on earth and nothinggg works. Anyone have any purging or breakouts from this??
I just got in to skin scare. I started using the Cerave AM with spf for night and day. And then I was like I should get the pm one. I feel like my skin has started to breakout from it.

If this product is meant to control sebum then basically it's drying out the skin I use this at night and in the morning my skin feels so dry so it's basically taking the natural oils from your skin. I'm glad I watched this video its certainly not the right product for me. It's good to keep natural oils in your skin not take them away. If this cream controls sebum then it's purely for oily skin

I completely agree with everything that you said about CeraVe p.m.! A video that I would love to see is firstly where we can still find Australian Gold tinted sunblock the original formula and comparisons to the new versions of the tinted formula I just love the original formula and I don't want to change to the new formula and I'm also concerned about the new formulas ability to be good under makeup and also is the new formula still as effective for when we are in the water? I wish the original formula just stay the way it was because it was so excellent why is everything in life have to change?

No it is not necessary. Even byram said that eye creams are just expensive moisturizers

I love it. Thanks Abby. The only time I have any stinging is when I've gone to hard with tretinoin. I just increased to 0.050 and started using it everyday like my 0.025. Which was a bad 💡. So I'm using my Aveeno baby for a few days until my skin no longer feels raw and then I will go back in slowly.
