snakeandmagnum I can already tell this guy was hard to work for and all the credit should go to you good sir because you made the frame! Funny how he is saying that “he built the bike”. However, I’m sure he did do the wrenching.

Yeah, can you imagine. Guy dedicates 11 years to build something he loves, and then gets to share it with Jay, and millions of fans, right when it's done. Talk about hitting a grand slam.

He deserves to be proud of an accomplishment like this! An old friend of mine had a new one in '72 that I got to ride a couple of times and it was very fast for that time. That is certainly a beautiful creation, and the satisfaction of creating the plans and forming parts yourself may be the best part of the build... but the ride "ain't bad!! ;^)

Love the sound of the 750 Four engine. I bought a new 1970 sand cast 750 while working at the local Honda dealership when I was 18 years old. This gentleman did a superb job of creating the CR style of his 750. This is the type of video I love from Jay Leno. Beautiful bike and a very cordial guest builder.

1973 I was a junior in high school, every time we had an assembly I'd jump the fence and walk a few blocks to the Honda shop. I'd buy a pop and hangout always looking at the CB750s and just dreaming. What an amazing bike. Later in life I came across a basically new 750 Nighthawk ---- that was an amazing bike to ride. Also owned a 500 4cyl whis was a fun bike to ride. this is a classic looking bike - great job.

Now that you have produced so many videos, I suggest that you use the "Playlists" function to create separate Playlists for bikes vs. cars, new vs. classic, plus the other features that you have: books, restoration blog, tools, etc. It will make it much easier for your fans to find what they are looking for and interested in.

I had a '77 CB750 for about 14 years and this is, by far, the smoothest-sounding, quietest CB750 I've ever heard. They usually have a very "agricultural" sound from poorly tensioned cam chains. It also sounded like it shifted very smoothly and, in my experience, the CB750 didn't have the smoothest gearbox out there. I always had to preload mine to make sure to get clean shifts. Beautiful work.

      Right?
There should be a motorcycle playlist.

Jay I live in long island and ride there and you had taken the words right out of my mouth , if you can ride out here you can ride anywhere . Iv never been to LA but long island is very bad .This spring I am expanding my riding away from long island. The Honda CB-750-K was the greatest motorcycle ever produced !!

Very nice job, I had several Honda 4's in the 70's including the 750 Hondamatic. All were fun. I still kept my 64 Harley Sportster and am on my 3rd. now since that time. Iv'e owned, Japanese, British, Italian and German bikes, liked them all and I never "diss" anyone ride. Thanks Jay!

The bike, and its owner are class acts.

It is always million times more interesting when the build is slowly cooked by the owner for the owner and a labor of love instead of trying to make a coin from customer fast and easy..

It even looks smooth. Having built a '71 Kawasaki H2 750 for myself; I understand the passion !.

Nice ride! I got an original 1971 CB500 four locally from a friend for $100. I had already rebuilt the carbs for him a few years before he offered it to me. He never even installed them after i rebuilt them. I repainted the tank and side covers the oem green color and am doing a OEM refresh/restoration. It's a clean, well running bike for practically nothing! Finding certain OEM parts are slowing the rebuild, but it's fun and totally worth it!

    Great story!! 👍
I had both a 1978 CB-550K4 and a 1978 CB-750K4. Both black with orange and gold striping. And both were sweet bikes. The 750 was bought as-is and a "garage-find". It had been setting for 7 years with the gas tank 1/2 full (of varnish) and the bowels had never been drained. Carb sliders were varnished solid. Regardless... after blasting the carbs. with 6 big cans of WalMart Supertech spray carb cleaner and a lot of beating with a nylon mallet, I had had that old girl blowing cobwebs out of the pipes by midnight of the evening that I had picked it up. Even after running a good twenty tanks of fresh fuel with many types of fuel cleaners and conditioners in them AND carb rebuild and resynchronize.... I never could get the cold "naturedness" of that ol' girl to go away. I always carried a can of starter fluid (w/cylinder lube) in the bags for "dead-cold" starts. Now if the bike had been setting with the engine in the sun for several hours OR the bike had been running sometime earlier in the day.... she usually would start w/o the fluid. So weird!! 😕 But... I loved that old girl! I went on to own a total of 6 bikes, but I count that CB-750 to be one of my favorites as it's the bike that I consider to be the one that I truly learned to "ride" on. 👍 💓
