I notice at 9:37 there are two BT antennas. One on the MDC2 module, and one on the unit itself, to the right of the LE plaque. Any idea why?

It is a duplication. Tne BluOS modual has Bluetooth and WiFi and (as a legacy from lesser models) the amp also has bluetooth. If I am correct, the BluOS bluetooth aerial "takes over"
