- We hike up the Pouakai range to photograph the trans and the mountain. I had a lot of fun on this trip. I have always wanted to go up there to see Mt. Taranaki from up there. It is one of the best and most beautiful places to see the mountain. It's not too hard of a walk up and it only took me about a 1hr 45min, and that was including the time I spent shooting B-roll for footage. So I'm sure it can be done quicker.

Hi, what month that you been there?
I’m looking to go there in July.
Love your vdo. Thanks for sharing.
Thank Bumi, it was in early July, so it's the right time to go! Enjoy your trip.
Is beautiful just stunning great job
😊😊😊
This is by far your best video yet. . . . I think I say that every week hahaha.
Haha Thanks bro!
As the saying goes in taranaki 4 seasons in one day.
Oh wow! Mt Taranaki looks awesome. I sadly didnt get the chance to visit it during my visit 10 years ago. Its a big regret of mine. Amazing video. Well done 👍
Man, you have to come back just for that walk and view someday. It’s my favourite mountain in NZ.
Good job. Looks like a nice hike
I think you guys would love that hike. And Thank you!
Wow what a stunning location, and amazing pictures, that fog and those clouds, great red colours, love the feeling when you up high shooting a range and the sky or mountain just lights up red..
Really enjoyed watching and it's a sub from me :)
Thank you so much for the kind words and for the sub :)
Javier Medina No worries it was great to watch you don't often see conditions that good..
Really enjoyed this video! Truly inspiring! I want to go Explore!
Yes!
You got some beautiful shots of Mt Taranaki Javier. Have been enjoying your video series as this is certainly a spot I 'd like to do one day as well as some of the other locations you have been. Keep up the good work.
Thank you Martin. I'm glad you are enjoying the videos. You definetly need to go to this spot if you can oneday!
So crazy how quickly the weather changes there! It was smart to hike up the day before to give yourself two chances. Thanks for sharing such beautiful, possibly lesser known, parts of New Zealand!
❤️
loving these videos! keep it up! :)
I will need to go down South to do some videos one day. I will also need a place to live while I’m there 😉
Miss you...
Hi, what month did you go up there?
I think it was mid July. Cheers
Great shots. Wow, such a beautifully maintained track too. Been up Taranaki itself but not been up where you went, view of the mountain was amazing. I do hiking videos too, if you're ever in the Waikato! ;)
Thank you man. Yeah, you have to go up this track. It's the perfect distance away to see the mountain.
do you have the coordinates of the lake?
Hey Axel, It's only a 15 to 20 minute walk from the hut, just follow the signs :) 39.2352° S, 174.0374° E
Hope you can get up there!
The best place to view Mt. Taranaki ever! 🌄 I so want to go back already. Would any of you hike up here?
Hey brother, for all my field work, I always use Metvuw, the website isn't very flash but the data is good, you'll have to learn how read wind bars though. As I said, been using it for literal years for all my field work, especially anything where bad weather can make things dangerous or make data collection difficult.
Also, great video, production quality is top notch. Check out Purity Hut Track, Ruahine Forest Park, its a short jaunt from you and the view up there is amazing, and on a clear night can see all of the Manawatu and all the wee houses.
Thank you for all the good advice 🙂
Ok show us the views not you, don’t waste time with your com entry , we have covered half the video and herd you babbling on and still not sene much. Three quarters of the video and you are still babbling on and haven’t seen much at all the video is almost finished and you still have not stopped babbling on and on and on. Ok I give up. It’s a wast of time. Bye
