battousaiblade no ones mentioned falsettos in this thread so falsettos!! He was incredible as Marvin in falsettos, wonderful chemistry with Andrew rannells (elder price!!)
Catdog550 I was so excited to see Charlie in the Chocolate Factory and was so completely let down by the show. As a playwright and drama critic, the show is terrible, the production does so well with what it had to work with. Christian was the best part.
I'm a set and props crew leader for me high school production of this and our performances are Nov 9-13. so excited to finish up this production and see it all together!!!
@MadHattress330 Oh of course! he's great too, it's just such a tiny segment, Christian's part just seemed more prominent is all , would love to see the show :)
I'm only now realizing that this is maybe the most random performance ever. "but we're on the tonys so we don't care!"
that's amazing
these are the roles that I think Christian plays the best like his Black Stache and his Shakespeare his personality is just so perfect for them.
What I loved about him as Emmet is that his little character break giggles and weird dance moves slotted so well into the character.
We's a couple now boo.
The heavy breathing at the end as if it was a big dance number is the cherry on top
"Cut that out, go back to your series." And then the rest of the scene was awesome.
Omg how Christian says "koala" is the cutest thing ever!
Celia and Christian's english accents are so good!
"and i bet you're milkshake brings all the boys to the yard but im not interested!"
I really like the heavy breathing at the end as if it was a big dance number 👌👌👌👌
he's so well-spoken and just ... good? ya know????
was this christian borle's audition for falsettos
Annabelle Lam WES A COUPLE NOW BOO

And now he is Orin Scrivello in Little Shop of Horrors :) Or was, but obviously with Coronavirus, Broadway is closed
I bet your milkshake brings all the boys to the yard but I'm not interested

Saw this last night, and could not stop laughing at the milkshake part! It's a shame Christian is no longer playing the black stache. :(

That's why villians win tony awards for playing the ultimate greatest badass villianous pirate captain James hook
Best part.
A PLAY WITH MUSIC. Plays Can have "Numbers" in them... and a score isn't just with singing.

Christian borle is a god
so well deserved, could kick myself for missing it.
Oh, ok thanks :)
What does the chorus sing? I can't understand it and I really want to!
"we play important parts, we swear, but we're on the Tonys so we don't care. Star stuff makes you what you wanna be. It also got us on TV"
Out of curiousity if this is a play, then why was it nominated for best original score?
Silverstorm1112 it’s got lots of songs in it!
Any love for Adam?
Adam
what did he say in 1:02??
“And I bet your milkshake brings all the boys to the yard too, but i’m not interested!”
0:43
w-what?
What are you doing? Cut that out! Go back to your series!
I think it’s kind of unfair that this play got a performance for some reason but no other plays do
