One of the better album covers I've seen in a long time. Labels don't put as much effort into album covers anymore (since few people buy physical anymore), so it's very refreshing to see an album cover that makes you want to own the physical item.

For being a great band for 20 years
Demon Hunter is one of those rare transcendent bands. Even though they are an unapologetically "Christian" band, there music reaches to the deepest part of the heart and are relatable to a wider audience. I love the string arrangements.

@@rvbagentky6532 August Burns Red is awesome. They put out the best Christmas album ever! There are so many great Christian Metal (and all the stupid amount of sub genres) now a day. Back in the day, you could easily almost own every single Christian Metal album on a national release label.
Christ requires honesty/confession/adherence to reality, so I can argue that it's not "Even though" but rather "Because." But I know there are a lot of hypocrites out there, and in the "Christian" music industry, and that's what we're most likely to hear. Reaching the deepest part of the heart and being relatable to humanity just should NOT be the exception for people who know and are being saved by Christ.
I love these guys, and they make me miss some of the more honest artists of yesteryear. LL DH

They have the best of both worlds. Their heavy songs are brutal and their ballads are beautiful.

Wow. This song is so sad in it's original production. This version takes my breath away.
The irony is, I did fail the person who introduced me to this song ... I'm lucky enough to have been forgiven by them, and to have been given an opportunity to grow, so now it just deepens the feelings provoked by this song. It's truly great.

DH never disappoints! To be honest I’m not sure where I’m landing on the message this time. They often really make me ponder about their songs (part of why I love them!!) but I think I’ll have to digest this one a while. Replay ability!!! Love it
I agree, while Ryan posts his thoughts about each song in TBR and Genuis, there's a few ways they can be interpreted in the same sort of spirit of the original intention. They're quite complex and rich in food for thought.
I could listen to this song on repeat for hours and each time feel it more and more.
Interesting, I am not a native english speaker and I've always misheard _'though the sorrow and fear, they may depart you...'_ as _'they may debauch you'_ and at least as I see it, it's still fitting. See, in my experience that is what sorrow and fear can and will do - they will debauch you, corrupt you and can turn you into something you never wanted to be and to say and do things you never wanted to do. And then all you can do is to hope that you are forgiven and that maybe sometime, you are even capable of forgiving yourself.

It's their lyrics that make them that. They are one of the few Christian metal bands. Overall they are a great band that shows you can do a lot.

We will always sin because we are born of sin and we will always fail God but we never give up our faith even when we fail. We pray we're forgiven and try harder next time to be better.
