Idc what anyone says. When you only have a low end machine, 25-30 FPS at 1080p is perfectly playable. i used to play lower frames at 720p and still played the hell out of GTA V

For a device that uses less power than the lamp I have in my office, being able to play a game like this at all is a pretty big win in my eyes. And yes, the RAM, or lack thereof, is the reason for the stuttering. Streaming becomes a problem when driving fast.
I’ve got a couple Bay Trail systems here. One’s a tablet with 2 GB RAM, and Atom Z3735F, the other a Pentium J2900 w/ 4 GB RAM. The tablet gets 5-10 fps in Uningine Valley, all low… at 400 x 240. Serious Sam runs pretty decently. Fable, you have to drop the settings a fair bit. Skyrim (GOTY) technically runs at 800 x 600, though we’re talking sub 20 fps. The desktop with J2900, performed a fair bit better. Played some L4D2 in it, and the open source shooter, Red Eclipse.
Love these benchmarks on the low end LOL. Maybe we'll see some good value, power efficient 1080p GPUs soon benched on cyberpunk? I'd like to see what the RX 6600 and the RX 5600 XT can do on that game?
once when i didnt have a gpu i leveled my online account arround lvl 120 in gta online with the intel hd graphics 2000 with my i3 2100 if i remember correctly, was a pain back then like 6 years ago, i couldn't run any race because my 3 fps or something couldn't let me keep up with racing of course when i wanted to play (even with this kind of bad conditions) i needed to glitch the public session when we couldn't do missions alone on a private session (only public) in order to farm in peace since low fps would probably lead me to bankrupt hahah
Hungarian schools gave out a laptop to us students which have this cpu, problem is it only has 4gb of ram soldered on the motherboard, and you couldnt even break the thing open because its illegal cuz of the contract. i looked it up and it does have an 8gb model, but you cant get it with touchscreen which hungary thought is needed for some unknown reason. the thing used 91% memory when idle ffs, thats not even working at that point! sad to see what could have been if the hungarian government actually cared about students (they dont)

This is giving you PS3 level of quality and performance with netbook power draw. I imagine this is what a Switch port would also perform and look like. Did you try playing the release 2016 version? That might be more optimized with RAM and is also smaller in space.
Call me old fashioned, but the first thing I always do with any PC-based game is drop all the gfx settings down as low as possible, then lock the max_fps at 60. "Eye-Candy" does not make a game, and the differences between 60fps and higher framerates, (120fps for example), in just about every game I've ever played is barely noticeable, (if noticeable at all). So for me anyway, GTA 5 on a low-end computer like the one showed here would be perfectly playable
I just got one of these N100 minipcs. I'm honestly surprised how this can run so many indie games on Steam. Slay the spire, Peglin, Vampire Survivors, Halls Of Torment, Grim Dawn(At about 40 FPS but still playable), Ballatro, Holocure, Terraria, run flawlessly. Seriously there are so many fun vampire survivors clones that run perfect on this thing. For games that are too demanding, I game stream from my downstairs Ryzen 7 3700x to the N100 and it's very smooth and good latency even on the WIFI., So for a 100 dollar computer, you can play some amazing retro-modern games. I do run Manjaro Linux both on the N100 and my main PC so windows might be slower with more overhead. Having more modern hardware standards on these make them a better buy than the refurbished old-gen ryzen 3 mini-pcs IMO.
Imagine a kid wanting to play there simple kids windows games while the parent has to do work on the main PC. Than this is a good solution. And you must have the DDR5 version!
I have one -- it's actually pretty good! as long as you don't hit the VRAM wall, it can play pretty much anything and in some cases with some DLSS sprinkled on top

Its not that bad! I was playing gta 4 with my old laptop with r3 3300u with igpu and i was getting 15-20 frames on lowest settings 💀 I even beated the game a few times. Now i upgraded to 4070 super and r7 7800x3d.
You probably either didn't set up the game properly, didn't run it with dxvk or your ram wasn't in dual channel, there's no way the performance were so poor on the 3300u. I remember running it on medium settings on a core 2 duo and a 8400gs many years ago.

If you have a potato like this one I'd completely ignore anything modern and instead just play Diablo 2, Bladur's Gate 2, Sacred, anything from that era. Even games like Witcher and DA:Origins probably work somewhat.
This processor isn't terrible. 6mb of cache, 3.4ghz turbo. According to cpubenchmark; (passmark), it scores: 5507 points while the i5 6500 scores: 5623.

N100 systems come with either DDR4 or DDR5 but they perform pretty much the same, even in graphics benchmarks. The iGPU is slow enough that the extra memory bandwidth doesn't help.

N100 systems come with either DDR4 or DDR5 but they perform pretty much the same, even in graphics benchmarks. The iGPU is slow enough that the extra memory bandwidth doesn't help.
