Please keep listening to Chris Stapleton his list of songs do not disappoint always surprising and you cannot help but get feels from what he is singing about.
He's been a songwriter for years. His wife Morgane finally concinced him to do his own music. She's the female harmonizing voice in his music. We all must thank Morgane! (Dude. Check out more of his live stuff. He's. AMAZING.)
Yes. His wife said you have such unique voice you should sing some of your own songs. She sings backup in many songs because he had some stage fright. She talked him into doing this or we might have never heard his voice. See how he looks at her when the sing together and her to him.
He has been a famous song writer in Nashville for years, playing in bands and writing songs for many artists before he started singing his songs himself. He gives lots of props to all the greats by doing covers to everything from country, blues, soul and R& B. Country is blues basically and you will find many soulful singers. Top quality Wooden string instruments always get better with age and tone constantly improving as the wood ages.
He was born in Lexington, Kentucky, and grew up in Staffordsville, Kentucky. In 2001, Stapleton moved to Nashville, Tennessee, to pursue an engineering degree from Vanderbilt University but dropped out to pursue his career in music. Subsequently, Stapleton signed a contract with Sea Gayle Music to write and publish his music.[3]
Stapleton has been recognized with several awards including eight Grammy Awards, 10 Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards, and 14 Country Music Association (CMA) Awards. He was named the ACM's Artist-Songwriter of the Decade.[8] In 2023, Rolling Stone ranked Stapleton at number 170 on its list of the 200 Greatest Singers of All Time.[9]
He's really from Kentucky He was a songwriter who wrote many songs for other singers but apparently they continued to chop the song up, or changed the flow or changed the sound. His wife told him to just sing the songs himself! And the journey began!
Much of what he records...he writes. Actually very well known and regarded in Nashville as a songwriter much longer than being widely known as a solo artist, also some time in both Bluegrass and Rock bands. Interesting guy and background...originally from Kentucky.
Chris Stapleton looks like an unsuspecting guy who was standing in the middle of a field somewhere castrating a bull. And someone handed him a guitar and he just rolled with it.
Also my man if you haven't already done it play the song by him that's called sometimes I cry and watch him hit the Mariah Carey notes and what your mind be blown. Make sure it's the one that says live in the Bing lounge
Glad to see that you are going down the Chris rabbit hole....it's a BEAUTIFUL ride.... Try "COLD" or "I WAS WRONG" live at Austin City Limits next..and thank me later...!!!! BTW GREAT REVIEW AS USUAL...!!!!
His guitar playing is quite phenomenal considering never having heard him before. His wife Morgane does the harmonies. He has a lot of guitars but likes to play with that one ☝️
He writes or collaborates on about 98% of the stuff he graces us with. If you ever get a chance to check out The Jompson Brothers, do so. It’s just one album. It’s jam-band Chris. Just changing elements. Thank me later
He's been a songwriter for a long time. He has written many hit songs for other artists. He's been in a few bands. If I remember correctly, he suffered/suffers from stage fright. His wife really had to encourage him to be a solo artist. The first album I was aware of was Traveller 5 or 6 years ago, but he's been in the game for a long time. He writes his own music. I saw a while back he's written 200+ songs.
He started out just as a writer and would sing some in bars until someone convinced him to sing his own songs. He colabs writing some but writes most of his own though he does covers. He do not write Tennessee Whisky
He writes most of his own music, but does some covers as well. Here' a live performance the title track from his debut solo album, performed with his wife, that contains a lot of personal bio info in the captions. ua-cam.com/video/E2M0PNa-dzg/v-deo.html. He also stated he bought that guitar with most of that ware and tear on it already. As acoustic guitars age, their sound gets richer.
Hey bud love what your doing. I enjoy watching your country reactions. Plz try some older country like you asked who George Jones is and he put Tennessee Whiskey out before Chris. David Allen coe put it out before both of them

Country Music.....IS....."Story Telling".....Real Country Music that is....:)
Chis Makes Ya Smile & He's Very Soulful....
He is extremely soulful and bluesy and a lot of hits by big country artists were written by him
Chris wrote hits for other artist's for over ten years before he started performing his own work. He writes, co-writes and does covers.

Thank you for not throwing in the fake sob story that so many just repeat on the internet about stage fright.

country/blues/soul is a great descriptor.
He wrote this one and pretty much everyone else's. Look it up my friend.
Listen to more from him, I was wrong, Barley Alive, sometimes I cry 🙏🏼
I live in his hometown Paintsville Ky. My wife went to high school with him.
Alot of his bigger hits he's recorded are actually covers. But he is a prolific songwriter with many hits to his credit.
After writing about a hundred big hits for other artists his wife convinced him that he should just be an actual artist and not a writer
Trust me man...I WAs WROnG @ AUsTin City LiMits LiVe/DeATh RoW/ SomE TimEs I CrY LiVe @ BinG LouNg- All BaNGerS
He just performed at the CMT award show with H.E.R. singing her song Hold On.

He is from Kentucky. You should check out the band "The Steeldrivers" that he was a part of before his solo success.

He really needs to be seen live. I love his music, but dayam, he sings better live!
He writes his music he is extremely stage freight it's his wife that push him to sing

The stagefright thing is an internet myth.

Too many interruptions
Tyler Childers is a country artist you may like. More Appalachian mountain folk music. Maybee the song "Whitehouse road"
He's more blues than country imo.
Hey man, do you think you could interrupt a few more times ans maybe even in worse places? Terrible
You know this is a reaction channel right?
@@shakashinereacts That wasn't a reaction
What would you describe it as? Since you say it’s not a reaction.
