The rods "should" be straight all the way, no bend at the back at the knuckle it passes through, mine were bent when I bought it (new). After a while therodsnapped where it is bent, it creates a stress point when bent. I bought new rods ($50.00 EACH). I put the new rods on and adjusted it CORRECTLY. If not adjusted properly it will again bend the new rod when the deck is raised. You can make new rods from round rod and a threader. Works perfect now and NO more bent rods. I lifted the deck one day and heard a loud crack, it was the rod shearing at the lift knuckle, be careful with it ! GREAT MACHINE, I love it !
My right rod had about a 45° bend in it, the left rod maybe 20°. It was pulled so hard on the right that the bracket that goes up over th 3 point Ling was bent up on the inside toward the shaft, I had to straighten it to sit flat as it is supposed to. Who er put the deck on at RK, had it all messed up. Works great now. Just a heads up. Good video !
Hi Mike great video. I'm very interested in the RK24. This video helps me decide on the mower I want. Basically I'm going with the rear finish mower. Much easier to add and remove so I can use it in the woods with the grapple and bucket.
Yes, I really did not need the mower deck I have a john deere x 500 that work just fine . The mower deck would be okay if you left it on all the time . Rural King has all kinds of attachment . glad to help
Good video, but there was another one about the same tractor and the owner was hearing a squeaking sound from the front. Turned out that he also adjusted that bolt to stop the wheels from turning too far. In his case, RK's mechanic adjusted it and the noise went away. They told him t hat those bolts have something to do with the wheel hub or some such thing. The RK mechanic's adjustment, solved the squeaking noise. So you may want to ask the RK where you bought it. I just bought the RK21 with a 54" deck, front loader and box blade.
I have a question. I just bought a Branson with the same deck setup and noticed the deck adjustment only adjusted the left side of the deck so that the right side was lower. The only way I found to adjust the right side higher was to have the wheels holding the deck up. I noticed in your video that the right side wheels were touching the ground but not the left. Have you measured your deck on both sides to see if it’s level or have you had problems with un level mow patterns?
I was probably sitting on uneven ground to level out the deck on both sides would be the two rods that go to the rear of the tractor we're your Hydraulics pick it up
I’m looking into getting a compact tractor and I’ve been watching a lot of videos with meet the Morgan’s and he uses three different RK tractors and I really like the 24 but I would like the front loader the backhoe and the belly mower, how are you liking yours and if you don’t mind me asking did you pay what it is advertised for on the website thank nice tractor by the way I really like it
Yes i did pay for what they advertise for but i only got the front loader and then went back and bought the deck . yes i do like the RK 24 a lot cheaper then the john Deere or Kubota for what I use it for
Rockie I recently purchased a RK24 with loader and belly mower, like Mike has there; the only thing that I don't like is if you have high grass, field grass(hay) or weeds they tend to wrap around the drive shaft and it comes out. I`'ve lost the shaft twice. Now I'm wishing I had gotten the finish mower instead. Price was as advertised. I elected to forego the backhoe for the dump trailer with mine. I love it. I think the grapple will be my next attachment. They weren't available when I purchased mine. Definitely suggest getting ballast in the tires.
It should be the two rods go to the rear of the tractor from the Carriage that holds up the deck next to your hydraulic lift in the back If it's like mine

@@davidrodkey3522 😀 thanks for your comment
Mine are beginning to bend. What's the correct way to adjust the spring tension at the end of the rods?

The squeaky noise in mine was the bearings in the front wheel I had it replaced
Does the mower deck lower when you lower the rear implement? If so is that common on all sub compact tractors?
yes on this one , on all sub compact dot no

Yes I did pay for what it advertised for and I do like to argue with him for it is a nice tractor had a lot of fun this summer using it
Yes I did pay for what it was advertised for and I did enjoy using it this summer is a nice small compact tractor
Do you have a video about side to side adjustment when dropped it’s 3.5 on one side and 4.5 on the other
no sorry
