Jumping in again😂 I started on eBay in early 2023 when Poshmark went all wonky. eBay is slightly challenging in the beginning but now eBay sales surpass my posh sales 90% of the time . Yes returns suck but I charge shipping both ways and I don’t get many returns at all. It is really worth listing on eBay

Ive noticed sometimes my ASP is higher on eBay. The shipping really isn’t that bad once you get the hang of it. You can always start off using priority flat rate until you get the hang of it. Also on Poshmark I’ve noticed that people with smaller stores do a bit a better than the bigger stores. Loving your videos!

I highly recommend doing eBay and Poshmark in addition. I wouldn't be surprised if you were able to get close to doubling your income. Posh and eBay equally sell for me. And the eBay algorithm notices when you're consistently adding and rewards for it. Poshmark does too, but it's not as obvious. For weight, just find an average for each item category and use that. After a while you have a sense of what things weigh and it's easy to do a fixed price off the top of your head. It doesn't have to be exact and you don't have to refund buyers if the weight comes out to slightly less.

I wish you all the best with that platform because it seems like you have had some fantastic sales there. And it could help sculpt your business model into a "work smarter not harder" way of work. I’m in eBay and having the same trepidation with cross posting to Posh. For me it’s the delisting of sold items that is holding me back. Shipping is no biggie on EBay. You’ll figure out quickly what your weights are of your usual items. Returns are annoying but I wouldn’t let that hold you back.

I think it’s just the fear of the unknown. Also, you make a good point about deleting sold listings. That’s one of my concerns as well, unfortunately I’m not a very organized person and I’m afraid I’d forget. I think we both need to give it a go though. 😊

Thank you for talking about the reason you don't sell on eBay...I was curious about that. I feel the same...posh is just so much easier. But I did decide to dip my toe in the eBay water and listed 2 items that I've had on posh for awhile. They sold very quickly so now I'm rethinking if I should just go ahead and cross list everything.

What a fun video! You are always so humble and it's really refreshing and endearing. What percentage can you deduct when you travel on vacation? Is it a certain percentage of your gas mileage only? I'm curious about that little pink alien guy on the shelf behind your head. He seems like he might have a story.

I believe you can deduct the full amount of your travel and meals if your trip is for business. Honestly though I’m not certain, I just turn in my receipt totals to my CPA and they calculate the appropriate deductions.
No great story on the Alien guy. He came out for Valentine’s Day at Albertsons, and once he went 50% off, I just couldn’t resist buying him. He was just to cute. 🩷 👽

I would increase the fee for handing to make up the difference between 22% and 30% instead of paying $50 more per month on Chairish. $50 more is just a rip off ($600/yr is crazy). However, I can see if a seller has a high profit store and can absorb that cost, it would be worth it. I finally heeded your lead and accepted three offers. Those buyers accepted the deliveries and rated me 5-stars! They would not have been offers that I thought were reasonable in the past, but I am happy for those sales. New mindset here I come! Hope you had a lovely time in AZ! I’m all for accepting offers but I’m getting real low ball junk offers. Like $8 offers on a $30 item. Would you accept that? I value your opinion! I just counter and then they just never respond. I’ve gotten like 3 in a row for less than 50% of the cost of my item. That just seems rude. I don’t know what to do. I always counter but mostly they just vanish. Do you really think accepting makes other sales? I was so excited because I made 3 sales that were actually good offers in March then had to put my closet on vacation and now haven’t made a sale in like 2 weeks. But, im getting these junk offers. I’m so bummed.
Also, I agree about the listings number amount. Example is I listed 40 new items in March but only sold 22 items in March. Just wondering how long it takes to recover from a few days on vacation. And, if it really matters how many new items -rather just that you are listing regularly even if it is only 1 or 2items a day. I used to stress about listing numbers but it doesn’t seem to increase sales that much. Your thoughts?
Re: eBay- not a fan. I’m was a nervous wreck when I dabbled with eBay. Just did not like it. I agree the ease of pm makes it worth the fee they charge for now.
Anyway, love your videos. Thanks for your hard work! Judy
