      not exactly true, the car scene by Annis Naeem uses Nuke among other things. Only the volumetric iirc are done in Eevee. But still an insane render and inspired one of my latest projects that is unrelesed.

    It looks amazing. I still use Cycles because I can't get such realistic results in Eevee like these examples. Can't find the right tutorials for it and trying be myself doesn't pay off... Maybe we can build a list of high quality tutorials as a comment below? Would be awesome

    • @leucome

      Low resolution irradiance combined with HDRI or a Sky environment and many light. Also some of these demo were using the SSGI add on. The Hirokazu Yokohara skeleton by example is from his SSGI demo.

  • @ajtatosmano2

    for still images there is no reason to use eevee (unless it's abstract). yes, you can make it look pretty good, but i could run a 10000 sample render (on a weak laptop cpu) in cycles during the plus time that goes to make eevee look good.

    • @say_it1167
      @say_it1167 3 роки тому

      wow what a great idea...i guess you found that alone?

    • @ajtatosmano2
      @ajtatosmano2 3 роки тому

      ZZM i am sure that experienced users can setup eevee fast, beginners and intermediate users will spend a lot of time dealing lightbleed and add plus lightning for the desired effect. for many use cases eevee is great. but people have different quality expectations and my archviz teacher definitely wouldn’t accept an eevee interior rendering. even interior renders from high level blender users have a “video gamey” feel, despite all effort and GI version. heck, even UE5 isn’t high quality for everyone.

    • @ajtatosmano2
      @ajtatosmano2 3 роки тому +1

      i am not saying that eevee is bad. if I have to do animation it’s worth the time because in motion the quality is high enough that noone will notice the difference. but with a still image people notice the difference. in cycles it’s much simplier to throw in materials and basically you’re done, hit render and you’re ready. with eevee you first deal with the lightbleed, then bake the lightning, if there are problems you add additional lightsources. it’s a hassle and you’re not really faster. and in the gi version of eevee I experienced many strange lightning aberrations which I don’t even know how to fix, not even mentioning the number of crashes. sorry for the long rant, I just found your comment a bit too much passive aggressive. the thing is, beginners should not have too high expectations for eevee at first because they become frustrated when they can’t reach the same quality.
