- In this video, MINI How-To will show you how to seamlessly connect your MINI with Apple CarPlay.
You need the optional equipment Apple CarPlay preparation. Setting up your connection is very easy. Just go to 'MY MINI', 'System settings', 'Mobile devices', 'Connect new device' and select Apple CarPlay. Don't forget to confirm. Turn on Bluetooth on your iPhone and select the vehicle with the corresponding number. Make sure the subsequent number in the display is the same as on your iPhone. For the best experience, allow synchronization of your phonebook and you are done.

When are you upgrading the wireless charge slot to fit phones larger than 5" ? iPhone Max & Pro Max as well as pretty much most Samsung phones are all too large to fit.
Why my 2019 Mini Cooper didn’t even get the apple carplay?
Getting my iphone to work with my new Mini is hardly "seamless." It's way too complicated and completely frustrating.

Why doesn’t CarPlay utilize the whole screen? You can do custom resolutions now and it is ridiculous that 1/3 of the display is taken up by the blue square saying what device is connected

There are custom solutions online, there are several companies that can remotely access your car and activate it, but it’s a major stupid oversight not unlike the back up camera, like seriously you can’t make the back up camera take up the whole screen LOL

is there a wired option for car play with the mini cooper se? why, you ask? the iphone i use does not have a cellular connection. but it does have wifi data by connecting to a mobile hotspot. the mini cooper se disables wifi (presumably because it connects to the iphone by wifi). but then i won't have data because it's no longer connected to the hotspot.

I’ve replaced my 4-year old Samsung Galaxy S9+ with an iPhone 13 Pro a few days ago just so I could utilise my Mini Convertible’s Apple Carplay and the wireless charging dock in the armrest and I think it’s really worth it!
Cannot not be done without Bluetooth to get better connection? when turning off Bluetooth it doesn’t allow to use CarPlay?
Where’s the option to get the apple car play on the full screen. As if we need half the screen missing to less us know who’s connected. Anyone with any ideas?

I have no idea how to adjust the car play volume, the volume controls in the car just adjust entertainment volume

@@MINI figured it out, you have to adjust the volume whilst carplay is talking at you. Not terribly intuitive imo, but glad I got it sorted.
I find it hard to believe that they don't support Android users. it's ridiculous.

This is wrong. You need to go to general settings and select CarPlay. Not bluetooth
