Singapore is on my next 2 to 3 country list. And now I know I am West arrange it around some sort of food festival because this looks amazing as I am lying in bed hungry❤
I watched those singapore food blogger going to this food fest but none tempt me to go visit. You sir really makes me want to visit this food festival!! 😊
I've never tried actual durian fruit--hard candy is as close as I've gotten to it. Part of me wants to try it while another part of me is saying "I dunno, man..." and I'm normally a fairly adventurous eater who will eat most anything once. Someday, Singapore ho!
If you come to Singapore, look for the sweet variety! There are many varieties of durian and they can taste quite different. I always recommend the sweet varieties (like ‘Red Prawn’ - its not a prawn its a durian) for first timers. Less funky! :)
Love your channel, and having lived in Singapore for decades, there's food everywhere, 24/7 and on the cheap too. Not to pour cold water, but I think Mike, you should be aware of what AGEs advance glycation end products do to your body, and the onset of metabolic syndrome with insulin resistance. Take care.

Everything 'bago', so classic and sweet. Would love to try the durian with a seasoned fan thereof. When I hear 'crab patties', my brain goes to watching SpongeBob episodes with my boy..., simpler times indeed. ✌️❤️🌱🌿☘️🍀
Hi Mikey, I really enjoy seeing you and Christine (sometimes! :)). I wish you put how much things cost, to give us an idea. I am not sure if it is worth buying or if you can now afford it and therefore cost is of no problem? So, if I go to a food fest, I cannot always afford the nicer end, so would be interested in your thoughts. BTW, Congratulations, I think it will be your first anniversary soon? appreciate your hard work. B
I am not sure when the last time I had a Durian was but I have only seen them in New York, New Jersey, and Chinatown in San Francisco. I was in New Jersey in a relative's small apartment when I ate one in my video in 2013 and you are right about the smell, the relatives were not a big fan of it especially in a small apartment. I have never seen one cooked, but did you notice how he was cooking both the cheese, and the receipt? Recently one of my friends gave me the best compliment ever. He said that years ago I gave him a piece of Durian, and he now gets one whenever he goes to San Francisco. I am so proud of myself for introducing someone to a new favorite food, especially one that many people think is weird.
Mikey! Welcome to Singapore!!! May I recommend ya the best (allegedly) mee pok on the island? Do check out 132 traditional teochew noodles. Have been a lifelong favourite of mine. Its a cut above the rest. Do check it out if ya can! Happy eating ")))
Your still in SG? Judging by your supper choices, I believe you r staying near my neighbourhood. You do realise it’s not possible to eat everything in SG? Malaysia and Thailand is another food heaven of course.
The problem with anything frozen is, most of the time you can't preserve the smell. Like Sardine fresh versus the canned one, it totally different smell.Durian are just one of them that really tingle your nose.
Few days ago queued for 30mins to have the nice Satay Beehoon at Bedok North 85 Fengshan Market. My husband commented that how come Mike Chen never come to this hawker centre to try out this good Satay Beehoon which hardly find elsewhere. Plus there are so many other delicious food at this place - 75花生汤圆,Chan BBQ, 成香肉脞面
Why isn’t Christine in your videos…since the two of you are now married you should both appear together. Where are the wedding pictures with the FOOD!!!!!
I always thought you hated durian based on one of the earliest video you've posted on UA-cam. Glad to see you finally rose to the ranks of Anthony Bourdain, Mark Weins, Food Ranger etc when it comes to loving durian. Andrew Zimmerman have lots of catching up to do
Every sip you take
Every pho you make
I'll be watchin' stew
Mike is the best person to recommend food. The way he described the taste and all makes you feel so hungry
You are damn right.
That food festival looks so fun! Hopefully I can visit Singapore next year when it happens again and try it out for myself!

The prawn soup...I could eat a gallon of that. Perfect dish.

I love the Singapore videos! So much fun to see Mikey happy and well fed. Oh the day will come way too soon when he has to leave.
Always great videos, love to eat with you Mike Chen
Another mukbang?! 🐻🐻🐻🐻
Really want to try durian!! I've only ever had it as an ice cream flavour before. This food festival looked great!
Fests, Carnival's, jus good food. Yes Mike.. Enjoy... ❤️🐞
Can you please make a video someday about how to plan a trip like this? It would be great to get some insight on where to start planning
When he says bagel it's sounds like "baygo"
This makes me wanna try durian like that :O sounds and looks good.
Mike should try prawn noodles, both dry and soup from Beach Road or Blanco prawn noodles 🍜
He had it before in one of his previous trips to Singapore

I’m so glad I am actually eating for once while watching you lol.
So much fun! I want to eat it all!
wow! you make me drool! that looks super-delicious!!!
I tried durian in Singapore, it was in ice cream form. I will never forget it… it tasted like a banana onion 😅
I am so happy that you are enjoying your food adventures here in Singapore! Very proud! :DDD
Mike is like my uncle, and he is living the dream of eating and traveling.
I’m almost certain I’m older than Mike, but I’m really hoping he can be my uncle so we can travel the world eating all this great food together.
What he does is a definition of a dream job
@@mattos380 Let’s try to turn our dream into a reality.

Nice festival! A little bit different! Yea, that fresh durian with torched cheese looked interesting!
Wish you’d have mentioned the stall names! These small businesses would have really appreciated it
Yea, I wanted to know what chilli crab plant-based burger he ate!
If Mike is still in Singapore and he misses Japan, he can go to dondondonki. It's literally Japan in that supermarket
I’m so used to watching you 2x speed that when I play normal I’m like why is it so slow LOL, love your channel 🎉
Mikey just living his best life
Omg cheesy durian 😂 ultimate combo indeed 😊
that packet is iced gem biscuit! grew up eating it... loved to bite off the sugary iced gem off the biscuits and leave the biscuit lol
Wow...I bet this used to be so much bigger pre Covid...with amazing quality.
Singapore is a food festival on a daily basis anyway!! ❤️
Mike Chen knows all the good culinary addresses especially in Singapore, 😂😂😂😂😂 !!
The only problem of Singapore is it is too hot but the food are really delicious!
absolutely! love the food but the climate is brutal
9:43 ''custardier'' so funny.
Mike's favorite "baygos" make a return!
mike pumping out so much singapore videos
no links in the description and no prices...lazy
Man out here creating his own superlatives 🤣💀
Vendors who recognised Mikey and pass him the food to try are smart. Free global marketing 😆
if you are in singapore. you should go to sentosa food fest with aiken chia
btw, depending on how ripe the durian is, the interior of the shell might be edible. You can scrape it off like a custard.
huh ? stop trolling , lol

What is a Mcdonald's Yeebee burger?
The Ebi McDo Burger is a McDonald's burger Mikey tried in Japan that has a shrimp patty, Thousand Island dressing, and lettuce.
@@ladyjessarie They're mocking the way he pronounced it 🤣
@@ladyjessarie Oooo sounds super tasty!
Mike should just live in Singapore.
He’s temporally living there right now because his wife is studying there
Missed a golden opportunity to call it “prawmen” broth
Feels just like the big Fresno fair that started today.
So unfortunate! I went for the SG food festival as well, although i went at night. Sad that i missed Mikey in SG
I would travel the world just for the food if someone could show me how to work it into my budget. Love your work dude.
Chilli crab with durian. U are having the best of both world.
As a Singaporean, I'm glad you enjoyed the food festival! Yeah, as a local, we cannot live without our spicy sambal 😂😂😂
Here for the Bag-O’s 🥯
Welcome to Singapore Mike!
Why did the durian part skip everytime he took a bite🤣
i always love watching mikes videos. i really also wanna try durian some day
Lol “largest”. You go wrong place bro. Largest food fest is Geylang Serai
Hey Bear Face 🐻
sg is my fave place to go to... all because of the food.
I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to see you on the street in Singapore. My favorite food city
I'm re- watching, and now wondering how many places out here will copy those donuts.

Take a shot every time he says prawn 🍤
if you're still in sg you need to try mcd new yuzu cheese pie
