Makes me think what they are going to do next is to have Rickert and co. somehow remove the brand on Guts or at least reduce its effects to permit him being able to land a blow on Griffith. Makes me think the reason it was also easy to mentally entrap Casca was because of her brand. Man... this manga really takes a lot of time and hindsight to put together the absolutely impressive display of storytelling. @@hieioni3354 I'm guessing Daiba may be able to help Guts understand both the sword and assist in easing the effects of the weight elementals. I just hope Farnese and Shrieke can do something to help get him out of his slump. Probably Rickert could help snap Guts out of that state of depression. Reminding him there is still a chance to save Casca and defeat Griffith. All before the Godhand eats away the last hope of humanity.
@@ScottE-2 Yep. And Daiba may be able to help Guts understand the nature of the Beast of Darkness too. As for Farnese, she stayed back in the material realm to watch over Schierke's body so Schierke has to rein in the Beast of Darkness this time. Also, yeah, I hope Rickert will give Guts a good speech about hope and all that so Guts can stay focused on rescuing Casca.
You know it might have been just a throw away line, but I think the Dragon Slayer being CURSED is far more significant than we might realize. The Beast of Darkness might not be physical, but i more and more get the feeling it is still none the less a florigen entity within Gut's mind. Particularly with the way Goto seemed to refer to it, and his list words before beginning to work on it. I'm not say it was cursed to begin with but something tells me that it isn't nearly a benign as we might have first thought.
I have the theory that Godot unknowingly willed the Beast of Darkness into existence when he created the Dragonslayer, because it was created out of frustration and malice. It's always been attached to the sword, but but only awakened the way it did because Guts began using it. This would tie in with the idea that we don't know everything about Godot, and his disappearing into the mountains may have had more to do with the Beast of Darkness than we know
@@kikrinman1450I raise your theory with my own: The Beast of Darkness didn’t start appearing until after Guts and Puck took the Slug Count’s Behelit, and then Lost Children happened. I draw the parallel to when Griffith hallucinated his idealized self just before sacrificing the Band of The Hawk
I can understand that people who worry about Guts' catatonic state also worry about the behelit activating and his second time meeting the 5 angels again, but it would be so out of character for Guts, who is a demon hunter and a protector marked with the demonic Brand, to end up sacrificing his own party to the God Hand in exchange for a chance to go after Femto like he dreamed of since his war declaration speech he gave to the demons.
I'm pretty sure the kushans are part of the specialized group that left the rest of them the ones that were kind of outcast they also don't like Griffith. Pretty sure we're about to get some more help
4:41 i know im gonna get judged by what i say, but i broke out laughing because when this image came up. i heard in the markiplier voice the word "smash" from his smash or pass videos and i have no idea why, but that word in that tone of voice just popping up in my head nearly killed me from coughing so hard that i started choking. talk about bad timing am i right? god that is just to funny for some reason. in all seriousness, the fact the beast of darkness is fully formed and taunting guts is bad.
Just want to take a moment to say that using the Arcanum OST in the background of these videos is absolutely inspired. I don't know why, but it just fits the more quiet parts of Berserk so well.
I love Nick Cave and Tupelo is the best song for Guts. A lot of people only know red right hand because of Tommy Shelby good to see this song get love.
I want to say, that I think the beast in Guts, I dont think its imaginary anymore. When magic returned to the world, when Falcona was forced onto reality, I think those emotions, that brutality, that evil, started to manifest warhammer 40k style into an actual fucking monster. I mean, Gut's sword is basically an anti demon sword purely based on Gut's innate hate and desire to kill demons infusing it.
I think guts allies will manage to deal with kushan and griffith, so guts can, for once, rely on his companion. Also, the old (shadow) wizard gang is on board, so maybe theyll help him get casca back ?
I DESPERATELY hope that Guts doesn't give in. Perhaps the Beast's plan worked TOO well, and Guts CAN'T submit because he realizes how pointless it would be to confront Griffith without giving up his humanity.
Hes going to have to give up something or gain something. There is no way he can face any of the God hand and win. It's basically pointless without more power.
@@thedude8526 If anything, he should forget the Godhand altogether and only gain whatever healing or power is necessary to protect any innocent people caught between Griffith's demonic empire and whatever the Skull Knight is about to do.

The single strand of hair guts managed to cut from griffith is a reminder that guts cut a single strand of hair from griffith when he left the hawks. The first time, it's because guts showed mercy, but this time, griffith showed guts how powerless he is
Mark my words, that hair guts took off griffith is gonna end up being the key to killing him, thats how it always works and because it was shown so in focus, theres no way they arent going to use it in some way to figure out how he works
People forget that the first time he encountered Griffith he couldn't even get near him let alone touch him. Now a hair was taken. That means it can hit him. He'll need stronger Demonic blood like oh say the generals of the band of the hawk for example....
Anybody else notice how everything went to shit as right after the last chapter the author wrote before he died? Like, I know he obviously had the drafts for the next bit of the story already in the works so he was gonna fuck his characters lives up even if he was alive, but I think it’s interesting how that played out. As soon as the author died, it’s almost like his characters felt it, and their world was darkened because of it.
So is the Behelit on the ship? Maybe the Beast of darkness wants Guts to be in a mental breakdown, so that using the Behelit will be more... easier. But not for Guts to use it per se, but to fuse the Behelit onto the Berserker armor, kinda like Skull Knight's sword being fused with Behelits. Guts goes around killing Apostles, getting more Behelits, making the Berserker armor stronger and the Beast of Darkness having a greater influence on Guts, while Guts remains human, basically trapped in the armor. Probably won't happen, but it was an interesting thought.
hey dude i hope your feeling better from the jetlag and sinus infection (sorry if i misspelled it) but it's good too have you back Fellow Struggler. Currently watching thr 21 hour Berserk Saga for my second time :,D
I will be so sad if the mages actually lost all their power, my personal ending for Berserk would be Falconia being attacked on sea by the navis of iith and allies with Roderick in command, with an army of wizards sending fireballs and protecting the ship, while we see guts attacking by land, being a captain once more, leading the bakiraka with Rickerts tech, there could even be a payoff gow Ragnarok style where Guts has to deal with the fact that there are civillians in Falconia, and only Griffith and the Apostles have to die, but whatever comes, if its Berserk level quality it will be the best ending either way
I hope it doesn't come to the point where the beast of darkness gets what it wants and then the Behelit requests Guts to sacrifice Casca to get all of his power and defeat Grifitth and since Guts wants the revenge so bad he might actually do it.
As much as Skull Knight and Puck pull Guts out of his darker moments, I'd love it if SILAT was the one to get him back on track. Considering they have brief history together, they're both warriors, and the obvious respect Silat has for Guts, it could be seen as repayment.
I think Casca was kidnapped so that the moonlight boy doesn't go into the open world and risk dying, also I'm not going to lie but I like the seriousness of the manga.
Something that occurred to me, Femto can manipulate spirits and has used this ability to conjure up those of the dead so they can say goodbye to their loved ones (perfect tactic to make himself look so heroic and worshipable to his sheep). And Schierke is currently astral projecting herself, which is basically sending her spirit out of her body, so she can follow Casca's trail to Falconia in order to find her. So if she is successful in reaching there and finding Casca in the castle...what would happen if Femto found her? Would he take her spirit captive or worse? If that happened, would that mean the party would lose Schierke like they lost Casca too?? Cause if Guts fully surrenders to the Berserk armor now and Schierke gets her soul grabbed by the Fifth Angel himself, she won't be around to help snap Guts out of it before the armor drains him dry of all his blood and leaves him in a state probably worse than that of a certain skeleton themed Knight. This is feeling like the true rock bottom moment of the story and it's going to get a bit darker before they can turn it around again, which feels like a build-up to the end. No update in June, but hopefully we'll get a chapter this month if all goes well.
I would honestly like if Guts' behelit somehow activated, but rejecting the offer with no hesitation when realizing what would be sacrificed, just as the count once did. Although it doesn't seem like it's going this way in the slightest.
Guts will absolutely go berserk and proceed to rip and tear every single fucker on that boat. But man... the armor and everything really have taken a toll on Guts. I really do wonder when he will reach his limit. This definitely isn't it. The people who attacked that boat signed their own death sentence, especially the ones with Guts in the room.
It's time for the rest to step up while the heavy is in depression. It's also time for Guts to let go, it's not hate and rage that will fuel his next ascension. It's time for some eastern zen shit for Guts to become the heavenly blade of death. Angels were always God's messengers of death and genocide.
Fanfic: Guts drowns in the beast of darkness out of despair. He kills a bunch of Kushan and explodes out of the ship and makes a B line for falconia. He basically inhabits a dream world while his body is killing everything in its path, including eventually crossing paths with a dragon In that craggy mountain landscape. He goes through some psychological, philosophical major archetypal, alchemical even, transformations. The Kushan overpower somehow the rest of the team and kidnap them and take them to their land, maybe they meet up with Rickert and Silat on accident. Maybe theres a library of Alexandria type place there and Schierke learns the history of the fallen kingdom, and maybe we learn the godhand origins. The Beast of Darkness, NOT GUTS roams the lands unconsciously as a demonic scourge until one day finally he reaches Falconia but is stopped in his tracks by some kind of magic, like those crystals. Maybe the crew finds out the secrets of the behelit, some Arcane hidden Magick. Maybe the Outcast Kushan, maybe theres a Dragon hunter army, and the Witches of Elfheim ride on Falconia- That's all I got. Lol
Maybe Theresia is the leader of the Dragon Hunter Army. Assuming there is one. Oh Miura. I know he had so much in store for us, I hope he told his friends and staff, left notes and illustration guides.
8:00 I recall someone pointing out that the Beast may actually be Guts’ “shadow”, in the Jungian sense. That he’s been fighting it and rejecting it when he should be integrating it into his personality. I like that notion and it would make sense that Miura had that when he drew the Beast.
so kinda like angry jack from season five of samurai jack? i say that because in the final season he was dealing with an alternate state of mind who was constantly lashing out and attempting to make jack essentially go nuts. however jack learns that he needs to balance his inner thoughts and life in order to be worthy again of using his magical sword. are we now saying that essentially with some consideration that guts very well just needs to learn to accept and work with his depression and anger in order to become more powerful?
@@moviemaker2011z Pretty much, yes; although, the closest thing to a “power up” Guts got was the Berserker Armor, which only made him not care about the pain of battle, rather than increasing his strength, and therefore it drains him. So “becoming more powerful” in this story will be different from, say, going Super Saiyan. Yamcha pose notwithstanding.
@@alialmuhanna4938 agreed, i think guts learning something about himself or learning to deal with the anger within his mind and body would be what it takes to destroy the godhand if not just griffith. i mean magic is fine and dandy but guts has never needed it before, the only "magic" he has ever used was healing powder from puck and such, or the berserker armor which is more of a curse than anything. so for him to gain a magical buff would be very much against the plot of the entire series. it was always stated by the original creator that guts would have a happy ending and that no ending would feel right without one due to all the suffering that everyone guts especially has faced. so we know that in the end guts WILL win but how so is going to be the hard to answer question. just having faith in yourself doesnt do jack shit in a world where faith in anything is only good for seeing magical creatures both good and bad or even for the denial of being able to see those things. so guts' buff up will be from something within himself i think but what he does is hard to say for now. maybe he will figure out that he alone cannot beat griffith and that he does need the help of all his friends to pull it off, because as we all know guts is doing all the work in terms of trying to fight the godhand, the rest of the crew are only there for the purpose of defending casca who is now gone. so maybe they will all put 100% of their strength into her rescue that it ends up fucking over the godhand.
hottake; guts might use the behelit, or be tempted to, at least. in his normal state, he'd never consider it. absolutely not. but now the beast of darkness is trying to take control, and guts is shattered right now.
Guts needs a power up. I think that he is going to meet Rickert and that kushan magician and mabye make berserk armor activate without beast of darknes or mabye he will do a pact with the beast to lend him his power but not hurt his friends
Honestly it’s possible that this is the part of guts story where he might end up like skull knight, shedding off his mortal flesh and becoming the black swordsman that the populace remember him as.🤔🐱
I'm more worried that that is the only option he might have if he wants to succeed at all with how badly he's falling apart physically. It doesn't look like he he could take on one of Griffith's lieutenants with the shape he's in and he almost got Grunbeld even though that almost killed him. It might be the only option he has left.
Mark my words. Fuck the Black Swordsman. He will become the "Beast of Darkness" as such, and will torpedo bomb castles and eat dragons until he gets to Griffith.

Makes me wonder if they will explore the history of the brand further and if there still exist people who have somehow exorcised it.
That is such a good observation!
The only thing Daiba can do now for Guts is to weaken the brand's effects and find out a way to use the Berserker Armor effectively.
Shit if magic is based on will and belief, then the man with the most unbreakable will has the highest potential
I watched your full 21 hour video and adored it. I read along with you going over the manga. Was praying you'd go over this soon.
THe newest chapters have been interesting to read and well these recaps and breakdowns are nice.
I'm pretty sure the kushans are part of the specialized group that left the rest of them the ones that were kind of outcast they also don't like Griffith. Pretty sure we're about to get some more help
Beserk and Boats
See you guys in 10 or 20 years
Berserk is like the best and worst form of edging imaginable
Bro I sooooo appreciate you making these videos and your commentary of what’s going on and what you think will happen next is amazing
I’m too busy to read berserk for the 9th time but having spent my childhood on the boat I can only offer my condolences.
That evil Doggo he's trying to consume my boy, praying for you Guts 😭
Hopefully we will get a conclusion to this decades long running manga. It deserves a well written ending.

i know im gonna get judged by what i say, but i broke out laughing because when this image came up. i heard in the markiplier voice the word "smash" from his smash or pass videos and i have no idea why, but that word in that tone of voice just popping up in my head nearly killed me from coughing so hard that i started choking. talk about bad timing am i right? god that is just to funny for some reason.
in all seriousness, the fact the beast of darkness is fully formed and taunting guts is bad.
Just want to take a moment to say that using the Arcanum OST in the background of these videos is absolutely inspired. I don't know why, but it just fits the more quiet parts of Berserk so well.
Arcanum the video game?
@@betuna9487 Yes
I love Nick Cave and Tupelo is the best song for Guts. A lot of people only know red right hand because of Tommy Shelby good to see this song get love.
I immediately closed youtube and read chapter 373 again because this video made me think it was a new chapter.
what an interesting chapter actually. I'm really curious if Guts will be able to fight the intruders.
@@theholygamer969 Griffith will never let him or his friends rest. There's nothing Guts can do aside from struggling and pressing on.
@@thedude8526They can't ESCAPE to a paradise, but they can MAKE a paradise out of the home they have.
But first, they have to take it back from Griffith and the Godhand.
We just don't know how they're gonna do that yet.
Beast gonna team up with slan to break guts to sacrifice man
The single strand of hair guts managed to cut from griffith is a reminder that guts cut a single strand of hair from griffith when he left the hawks. The first time, it's because guts showed mercy, but this time, griffith showed guts how powerless he is
Look, the boy misses his mermaid gf.
We’re lucky he’s just sulking.
🎩
🐍 no step on Snek! 🇭🇰🇺🇸
Mark my words, that hair guts took off griffith is gonna end up being the key to killing him, thats how it always works and because it was shown so in focus, theres no way they arent going to use it in some way to figure out how he works
That's a great observation. Could wrap/braid it into some sort of wearable item as an indication of Griffiths state.
People forget that the first time he encountered Griffith he couldn't even get near him let alone touch him. Now a hair was taken. That means it can hit him. He'll need stronger Demonic blood like oh say the generals of the band of the hawk for example....
@@vancejohnson-beal8142or the godhand since Slan was impaled
I literally won't know what to do with my life if Berserk ever gets finished...
NEVER stop doing Berserk content, I luv u
Still no sign of what that behelit guts has been carry since forever will be used for! I hope its not forgetten about
hey dude i hope your feeling better from the jetlag and sinus infection (sorry if i misspelled it) but it's good too have you back Fellow Struggler.
Currently watching thr 21 hour Berserk Saga for my second time :,D
"To be continued" (no release date)
*Behelit theme starts playing*
I've been waiting what feels like forever for this one!
Good to have you back, best of luck recovering
As much as Skull Knight and Puck pull Guts out of his darker moments, I'd love it if SILAT was the one to get him back on track. Considering they have brief history together, they're both warriors, and the obvious respect Silat has for Guts, it could be seen as repayment.
Wake up babe, TheAlmightyLoli just uploaded a Berserk video.
I think Casca was kidnapped so that the moonlight boy doesn't go into the open world and risk dying, also I'm not going to lie but I like the seriousness of the manga.
No, Griffith has Casca kidnapped to prevent the Moonlight Boy from going to Guts every single time.
I remember literally saying ‘AW COME ON’ when the Kushin’s arrived. Even under new hands, the manga just CANT give Guts a break
Kushan* . And I think those Kushan are under Daiba's command.
Hope your recovery goes well, Loli boy. Thanks for the video.
Yessss. More boat adventures.
ending the video with Tupelo is BASED
Something that occurred to me, Femto can manipulate spirits and has used this ability to conjure up those of the dead so they can say goodbye to their loved ones (perfect tactic to make himself look so heroic and worshipable to his sheep).
@@carterwow Well I hope not.

Oh God ! I hadn’t thought of that.

Ricket the Pirate King is going to slap Guts back to reality
Damn that's a nice boat.
Just got one of my friends into berserk. Now they have much to catch up on.
The Beast of Evil is a better imaginary friend than Sonichu
BERSERK CONTENT FROM TAL IS THE BEST
loli is the man, ive listened to this man for 21 hours straight once
I would honestly like if Guts' behelit somehow activated, but rejecting the offer with no hesitation when realizing what would be sacrificed, just as the count once did. Although it doesn't seem like it's going this way in the slightest.
Loli was almost isekai'd into an alternate world as a little girl, finally living up to his name
Anyone would puke from seeing a naked Griffith riding their sword... Nasty villain!
I missed looking forward to the next installment of a manga. So excited to see the next chapter
I'm kinda horrified to see what happens next. Something crazy is about to happen with Guts and it could go either way at this point.
No matter what, even after it's arc ended, we cannot escape the boat.
If this mean another hiatus, I swear I am going to personally boost the sales of Idol Master.
Gyatful, slow burn, rizztastic, pizza tower esque, wholesome 100 gemerald vid
Guts will absolutely go berserk and proceed to rip and tear every single fucker on that boat. But man... the armor and everything really have taken a toll on Guts. I really do wonder when he will reach his limit. This definitely isn't it. The people who attacked that boat signed their own death sentence, especially the ones with Guts in the room.
He's reached it now. The amount of trauma he went through is too much for anyone.
his journey is far from over so he hasn't reached his limit
It's time for the rest to step up while the heavy is in depression.
It's also time for Guts to let go, it's not hate and rage that will fuel his next ascension. It's time for some eastern zen shit for Guts to become the heavenly blade of death.
Angels were always God's messengers of death and genocide.
Love your videos man. Keep it up!
Fanfic:
Guts drowns in the beast of darkness out of despair. Maybe the Outcast Kushan, maybe theres a Dragon hunter army, and the Witches of Elfheim ride on Falconia-
That's all I got. Lol
Maybe Theresia is the leader of the Dragon Hunter Army. Assuming there is one.
Oh Miura. I know he had so much in store for us, I hope he told his friends and staff, left notes and illustration guides.
Oh yeah ! That’s the good stuff.
And the wait begins (again)

I recall someone pointing out that the Beast may actually be Guts’ “shadow”, in the Jungian sense.
@@moviemaker2011z
Pretty much, yes; although, the closest thing to a “power up” Guts got was the Berserker Armor, which only made him not care about the pain of battle, rather than increasing his strength, and therefore it drains him. So “becoming more powerful” in this story will be different from, say, going Super Saiyan. Yamcha pose notwithstanding.
@@alialmuhanna4938 agreed, i think guts learning something about himself or learning to deal with the anger within his mind and body would be what it takes to destroy the godhand if not just griffith. i mean magic is fine and dandy but guts has never needed it before, the only "magic" he has ever used was healing powder from puck and such, or the berserker armor which is more of a curse than anything. so for him to gain a magical buff would be very much against the plot of the entire series. it was always stated by the original creator that guts would have a happy ending and that no ending would feel right without one due to all the suffering that everyone guts especially has faced. so we know that in the end guts WILL win but how so is going to be the hard to answer question. just having faith in yourself doesnt do jack shit in a world where faith in anything is only good for seeing magical creatures both good and bad or even for the denial of being able to see those things. so guts' buff up will be from something within himself i think but what he does is hard to say for now. maybe he will figure out that he alone cannot beat griffith and that he does need the help of all his friends to pull it off, because as we all know guts is doing all the work in terms of trying to fight the godhand, the rest of the crew are only there for the purpose of defending casca who is now gone. so maybe they will all put 100% of their strength into her rescue that it ends up fucking over the godhand.
her name is NOT "shrike"
and its kushan not kushen
hottake; guts might use the behelit, or be tempted to, at least. in his normal state, he'd never consider it. absolutely not. but now the beast of darkness is trying to take control, and guts is shattered right now.

Guts will Embrace the Beast, but then he will Tame the Beast.

6:00 i think Guts will give in once he is alone. itll kill him but give everyone else the door they need to finish this.
