To be honest, I much much prefer the arena auditions to the room ones before then. The atmosphere feels better with these magical moments of people not realising how great they actually are until they hear that crowd reaction.

I think that’s the main thing with these shows. It’s ok to have a hobby you love but are not good at. But it’s not ok to be delusional and expect ppl to pay you for the talent you THINK you have. Daryl was good, but had an unfair advantage of having a backing track with other singers. This clearly helped him. It should not be allowed to have other voices in the chosen track.

I will never audition with a song I am not good with. I would suggest work on one that is easy to get your foot in the door and go from there. I think some may be alright if they go back and work really hard with a good musician. But some of the others I really think there is no help. I hope some had good success down the road.

Disgusting that families encourage a family member who has no talent, can not carry a note , tone deaf, can not sing at all. Reality comes and kicks them in the ass and they cannot handle it. Nothing like making a fool of oneself on national tv.

The last bloke can definitely sing and project, but a cover of With a Little Help from My Friends AGAIN? How current was that? And I hate the practice of extending vocal lines and having to catch up unrealistically quickly as he did in the verses. But how right Simon was about Jedward. First time I've seen/heard them, and they were dreadful. Maybe they're better now, but then - not much better than the dreaded Kyle.
