the luck i had... just came home from work... my bed is made... my tea is done and my croissant is warm..... i am so ready
I just got home from work too lol
@@one-onessadhalf3393 have a lovely rest of the day then :3
Omg that's perfect timing
"My tea is done and my croissant is warm" is a wonderful sentence and I aim to be able to say it at least once a week for the rest of the year.
I'm reading this comment after 14 hours, how was that croissant ?
"and for what? For being MUGGED and BAWDIED?"
is my new coping mechanism phrase whenever someone hates me
I always wanted the collectors edition Batgirl doll, but was too young when it came out. She usually goes for $100+shipping, and I've had alerts on her listing for about a year. She was recently listed for $40 the same week I got my first paycheck after a major career change, so I bought her and she serves as a reminder of my hard work and of my childhood 😊 my partner made a display for her in our office and my mom gave me the collectors edition Black Canary that she bought when it released to keep her company.
there's a local market near me that sells almost exclusively vintage bratz and monster high dolls. i've gotten like 5 dolls from there for like $60!! the online upcharging is crazy
Dude I'd pay for a ticket to whatever country you're from to go there!
@@Jhud69 Australia!!! Such a cool little place! They sell other vintage toys too
I'm Australia 👀
God i wish
I'm so glad you noticed your fallen over doll 😂 I kept looking at it 😂😅
🤣🤣🤣
i don’t collect fashion dolls but i used to collect My Little Ponies! i went to the local flea market often as a teen/college student. eventually, when i was like maybe 18 years old, i went to the flea market and went to the big toy/stuffed animal stand as usual, and the guy at the stand (the place was run by a husband and wife duo iirc) said “hey you’re the Pony Girl! my wife found something at a garage sale the other day and we picked it up just for you!” and he pulled out a GARBAGE BAG full of vintage Ponies!! granted they were in various conditions of disrepair… but it was so sweet. i think i gave them $40 for the bag just because i was so flattered. eventually when i went through the bag i discovered multiple valuable Ponies… Perfume Puff ponies, tropical ponies, flutter ponies, a Twinkle Eye Locket… they aren’t at the flea market anymore but i still think of them all the time ❤️
Congratulations on your engagement!! ٩(◕‿◕。)۶
Am I the only one who immediately checked for a diamond ring when he mentioned that? Was a little disappointed there was nothing there but what do I know.
I got my gold elastic Lagoona for 15€ at the flea market... but I did have to awkwardly dig through a giant bin of Monster High accessoires for 20 minutes while the sellers were side-eying me. Same with my 5€ Superstar Christie. The girl at the booth stared into my soul and judged me so hard lol.
I didn't realize the whole gold elastic thing until recently, I have a gold elastic Dawn of the Dance Cleo that I was able to get for a few bucks at an estate sale without realizing the significance of it. She has the full outfit too which is pretty neat!
That's so cool! Estate sales sound like so much fun but they don't seem to be a thing where I live. I was always hyper-aware of the elastic color because I started collecting MH as a dumb 12-year old and was obsessed with the concept of rarity. Never managed to find a gold one until I had grown up quite a bit though. I guess that's Karma for telling my friend about how rArE common dolls like Catty Noir are...
Seeing the prices of bratz really disheartens me from trying to get them sometime it's bonkers 😢
I was lucky enough to find a Pinkie Cooper doll in a charity shop for £1. She was missing her original outfit, but Bratz clothes fit her and she looks great on my shelf!
Funny enough this same thing happened to me too! I found two pinkie cooper dolls at the same thrift store two separate times lol
The way Naomi is laid out in the floor bc she knows she’s not “RARE” such drama.
I think this is a great idea for a video. I also think this is a good practice for all collectors when we are feeling defeated about missing out. It’s good to take time to appreciate the dolls we own and the good fortune we’ve had in the past.
I hope you can get Regina.
I think the most expensive dolls I own are 17” Disney LE winter belle, FR Nippon Candy Cutie Misaki, IT Intimate Soirée Agnes Von Weiss, and IT She’s That Witch Sooki >_
im OBSESSED with the FR Nippon Masaki dolls but i can never find one for a good price
Exactly!! If ur lucky you can find rlly old dolls at Marshall’s/Ross/TJ Maxx
The Bratz x Mean Girls scalpers make my stomach hurt 🥲🤢
Great flex video, hehe! My most expensive dolls are probably my og MH ghouls (the whole core group!), but purchased at MSRP, similar to your g1 gold elastics Lala story hehe 🥰 I also have a Skullector (Annabelle!), a BFMC Silkstone babe and some desirable Barbie collector editions 🥹💕 Does 3ft Big Miku plush count as doll ($600)? 🧐🤪
Thanks for sharing your collection with us!! 👏💖 (eta: fixed words)
Seriously, I can't stand them. They brought up the dolls from people who wanted them. Just to up sale them. I wish these companies were better at knowing who are scalpers
I've found that FB Marketplace to be a gold mine for people putting dolls up for way below market price. Someone inherited a Barbie collection and was putting up vintage Bob Mackie dolls for less than $100CAD (~72USD) so I managed to get the Moon Goddess Bob Mackie Barbie (one of my most wanted dolls ever!) for $40CAD. I actually picked up the 45th anniversary one from the same seller for a cheaper bundled price - he was really just trying to get rid of them LMAO
I got Neptune Fantasy for $55 last year. I thought I could get one of the 90s Mackie's for cheaper than the Christmas Angel, and I was right.
I love the way you talk about your dolls, it's so sweet and it makes me feel less alone
I got really lucky and found a Mermaid Fantasy Kayla at a doll swap meet for $20, almost screamed when I saw the price but played it cool bc I was worried they'd up it if I was too obviously excited xD She's still in box too! Prob one of my best scores ever!
so I'm not a doll collector, I just kept the dolls I grew up with and enjoy this channel as an enjoyer of Toys, but my one bragging right is I got a Mattel Winx Club Enchantix doll for christmas in 2007, NIB. It was Flora. I took care of her like she was gold, and you can imagine my surprise to see those dolls going for literally over $1000 on ebay like a year ago. I still have her box, she's still in beautiful condition, and I would never ever sell her lmao. It was hard to find Mattel winx club dolls when I was a kid so I only have... I think 4 or 5 of them? And she was the only one my parents had to buy online because finding them in person was Impossible. Flora wasn't my favorite Winx girl but I always thought her doll was beautiful and I still do.
I have a gorgeous silkstone barbie with a big blue and white dress and perfect red hair, no box, that I got at a garage sale for 7 dollars. I didn't know what she was at the time cause I was 10. But now, over a decade later, she goes for like 300 dollars. One of my most prized possessions.
I get why people are upset about the mean girls drop but I’m kind of side eyeing because this is what it’s always been like for the skullector dolls and yet people are suddenly acting like it’s an MGA exclusive problem.
To be fair, the Bratz drop was especially cruel to international collectors. Mattel is at least pretty up front about their lack of overseas availability. MGA just sort of straight up lied about it.
I've seen them on Amazon but Scalpers got to them first too, atp no more limited stuff people are to money hungry lol
I will comment again once I'm done watching, but all I want is more content about your collection, honestly. I see it in the back and I have questions about when you got so and so, how they're organized, etc.
The best Christmas present would be a series where you talk about the content of each shelf one by one. I just think it would be neat to see what you've curated for yourself!
I so have to brag on my mom's behalf now that I have permission! Last year for my birthday my mom found a Scarily Ever After Clawdeen as Little Dead Riding Hood, and a C.A. Cupid at a thrift store for like $15!! Neither doll is in perfect condition and Clawdeen is missing her cape but they both had their shoes!!! I play with a lot of my dolls and I'm very big on dress up so for me, especially with Monster High, the shoes are the most important thing for me. She's so lucky to have found them and I am so lucky to have them ^-^
I am hoping her shopping luck can help me find my grail dolls for less than $115 each like I keep seeing...
most of my dolls are just regular g3 mh so they aren't really expensive ... except for the haunt couture draculaura i got when she first launched. i literally skipped two class periods to make sure i would get her because it was THAT serious. and i guess it was worth it because she regularly goes for way more than all of the other haunt couture releases
i literally refunded the haunt couture frankie i had bought just so i could get her. i like haunt couture frankie something in me just knew i had to get drac instead (sidenote mattel creations still owes me like $6 cause they didn't refund the full amount)
I like how you discussed the boxes prices and what you paid for them. Some of my best lego sets cost like $800 with the box but PSSSSH I didn’t pay anything like that for mine. I know it’s not a fashion doll set but it’s set 5986, Amazon Ancient Ruins, from the BEST Xmas ever.
My collection isn't really big, but a few months ago, I was at a yard sale that had hundreds of in box Barbies from the 80s, 90s, and early 00s, each for $10. I only bought 3 because I don't have a ton of room in my house. I got the Jude Deveraux Barbies (which I've seen on ebay for $100-$300), the 1998 Summer in Rome Barbie (which I've seen for ~$100), and the 1999 Spring in Tokyo Barbie (which I've seen for $60-$100). Probably others at the sale were more valuable, they had so so many, but I got those because I think they're all really pretty and they look good on my shelf. $30 for the lot genuinely felt like I was getting away with murder.
When I think about the original myscene dolls I had and now I don't, I cry a little. I didn't know. I was a teenager 😢. I'm starting to collect now, tho 😊
I'm still pissed that I threw away 75% of my pokemon toys and cards from my childhood when I moved out. I thought "I'm an adult now, why should I take this with me?" And then only a few years later I started getting into Pokemon again... Luckily I did not throw away everything, as I found some cards and toys in other boxes in my moms garage. And then I started collecting new toys and plushies. I'm 30 and I still love Pokemon. I'm not a doll collector, but I love walking in toy stores just to see what they have. Toys are just so much fun! I recently took home my childhood doll Erika from Princess and the Pauper, that's the one doll I will keep.
pfgff the lookback at the fallen doll.. too real xD
My most valuable sentimentally is Natasha Zima from Shadow high. I accidentally looked at her in the toy aisle and I fell immediatly in love! She got me back into doll collecting🩷
Me too! Her and Shanelle Onyx. When I first saw them, I was like, "what is this sorcery?" And they were on sale so I ordered them out of curiosity, thinking that I would just take a look at them in-box and return them, but I couldn't resist unboxing them, and they set me on another doll collecting journey.
@@linphillips8331Shanelle literally carried the doll community that year
greatest score? found a rochelle clothed with wings for 75 cents! My most valuable dolls would have to be my full sized Blythe's though, i paid about 120 for each. (suri sustainable and float away dream)
i dont know why i love them so much but they're so silly and fun to take around
i remember one night like a year ago i was looking for pics bratz live in concert nevra to cope with the fact that i don’t have her and i found someone who had her IN BOX for $55 on mercari and i genuinely have never purchased something so fast in my life. i quite literally cried the moment i had finished ordering her because i have wanted her for so long and her prices online are crimes against humanity 😭😭
I think my luckiest moment as a doll collector was earlier this year when I found Robecca Steam core doll with all of her accessories (excluding her purse) at a thrift store for about $16. I’m actually pretty sure the person who donated her gave their entire collection away because the next time I went back were 6 more mh dolls all in very good condition. They even had Dayna from g2?
I think about that unknown collector often. I hope they’re doing well.
The gold elastic faces are so amazing 👏 I love the walleyed screenings. My mom collected Madame Alexander Dolls, who had elastic legs, and it takes me back to happier days.
i bought a pinkie cooper doll (the beverly hills one) last year for £45 brand new in box... she's my dream doll, my favourite of the line. considering most of them unboxed go for upwards of £60 without the pets i consider myself super lucky. the two year wait for a good deal was so worth it. my most treasured is my corolle les cheries ballerina doll my mum bought me when i was about five which i still have - she's survived seven house moves - and she still has that plasticky vanilla scent all these years later T_____T
My luckiest doll find is 100% when i found the skullshores black and white Frankie, with all of their stuff, at my local thrift store for like a dollar! Frankie did have a super bad case of glue seepaged but frankly (pun not intended) I am fine with that since they had all their stuff :)
my rarest doll is probably the madame alexander elphaba from wicked in her ballroom costume, she’s genuinely one of the most beautiful dolls i’ve ever seen and was one of my grails for years! i eventually got her as a gift, but i think my parents found her for around original retail price which is pretty unbelievable nowadays. i need a better place to display her though because she’s so much taller than the rest of my largely playline collection, lol
also, hearing ‘dresden doll’ in terms of bratz and not the band was so funny to me
Thank you for showing off Kina! I had her as a kid and want her in my adult collection but she’s so expensive.. My most valuable doll is a bratz Dana race car driver (no outfit) cuz she’s very sentimental I’ve held onto her since I was 6!
It’s so interesting to see the prices of dolls based on location around the world, the Star Darlings Vega (out of box) is £15 tops on eBay in the UK.
The priciest dolls I have are BJDs, and they are not the most expensive of their kind. Where I live, dolls cost a lot, so I only buy the ones I really really want. I like seeing other collectors dolls.
Now, I can't speak on my g1 MH collection, as I haven't actually bothered to check most of them, but I'm fairly confident my most expensive dolls are my Twiinz Roxxie and Phoebe! I had cried to my brother about missing out on my grail dolls at $25 a piece (Oriana and Valentina--Can you tell I love the Twiinz? Lol) and though he wasn't sure which pair of girls I wanted, he grabbed a set of Bratz Twiinz for me on ebay for my birthday this year 💖 Phoebe is one of my all-time fave Bratz dolls, so I feel so lucky to have a little brother who was willing to bite the bullet on the secondhand market for me!
Omg phoebe is my favorite character bratz too! The 1st and 3rd edition twins were my childhood. My most expensive doll happens to be the Toys R Us girlfriends nite out Phoebe 😅
I love listening to you talk about dolls. Thank you so much for every of your video
I think the most valuable doll I have is a Takara Jenny doll in a pink kimono. I got her as a gift when I visited Epcot Japan my senior year of high school in 2005. The listings I've seen are around $250.
I got two. I have never found them for sale on eBay, so I don't know how much they are worth.
It wasnt expensive but I bought a 30 yr old Barbie walking horse that I missed out on when I was a kid. It was in really good condition and only needed a detangle, wash and some batteries. It was missing a saddle so bought another one that was in more rough condition but at least had a saddle. No saddle pad, so I cut some out from some scrap cloth and she looks and works great!
I considered getting into Monster High collecting but I do not have the patience or the money. Or the space for that matter, glad I backed out of that idea I'll just admire from afar
You could get into G3 Monster High
My most expensive doll that I have gotten was my original black-and-white swimsuit Barbie from 1959 to 1962. I don’t know which year she’s from but I got her for about 200 which is extremely cheap for her because she can easily go for $1000 even once from the 60s, so that was an ultimate score
watching this while making my mom's birthday gift. very relaxing to listen to you!
my most sentimental doll from childhood that i was surprised to find was pretty expensive is my i
My earliest G1 doll is original wave Operetta, because I got into MH late. Haunted Rochelle is probably the best score from that, because she's in the 3-4 hundreds now, and my wife got her for me for my birthday in 2015, and says she wouldn't have paid more than $100 for her at the time. Our general rule is no more than twice retail, unless it's a really special doll. And that means super-good deal on a super-rare doll that I've wanted for literal years. One day, I will find a reasonably priced Cerise Wolf SDCC doll, if I am patient. My wife's Pinkie Cooper dolls are up there on eBay right now, too, and we bought them for retail when they came out.
I really liked seeing your expensive dolls! And I liked hearing the stories behind some of them. It's always fun when you learn the lore behind someone's collection.
tbh i have so much love for the live action movie premiere yasmine… the pure SERVITUDE
I bought an inbox Princess Yasmin for $20 equivalent here in my country and it’s pretty rare to find Princess line in box here. I also bought a MyScene Goes Hollywood Chelsea new in box for $40 and it’s almost brand new.
Totally also bought a Vega in box in 2020 for $150...😅I need her as Virgo🙋🏾♀️💙
Fun fact I was a metal head in high school ( class of 2008) .like slipknot, system of a down lol and I would go home and watch Hannah Montana and wizards ..when I was 17 it was summer going into 12th grade and I smoked weed with my buddys came home and was watching the Disney Channel games ( dreamed of being in a Disney show and then doing the games) mileys team won ( green I think) she performed G.N.O and the HSM2 premiered..I'd never seen the first one ..well after that my bedroom was posters of metal bands , Dexter lol and Ashley tisdale! Her music was fire aswell "not like that" Still a freaking jam! In 2019 I was going thru a separation Nd just a dark time well she released an album " symptoms " and it saved my life ! Lol and the new sailor moon dolls are so gorgeous!! I have the one from the 90s the ones with the " PROPER" shoes!! And they are 6inch aswell I also have queen barrel and the tuxedo mask but he's literally a jump scare !
Also I live in Toronto and irwin the company that made the dolls I have ..their factory was downtown and after irwin closed the factory was converted into a condo building Nd now they are called " The Toy Lofts " and they are gorgeous like exposed brick ..google if you get a chance ! Also golden girl dolls are similar to sailor moon I'm obsessed
OMGGGG I definitely watched the star darlings show and totally forgot about it, you just brought back real memories.
All the doll-hairs! 😂❤
It was your initial video including them that inspired me to go on a very long hunt for some Struts, being a horse doll collector myself. It's your fault I spent over 300 dollars for a pair of mint in box Struts dolls!! I love them so so much. Mine are Sydney and Rio, but I seriously want one out of box now so I can truly appreciate them and because I love the packaging so much that I cant bring myself to open them
I had an eBay saved search for literally years for the Juku Couture dolls because I was holding out for the 2008 version at a decent price, ended up getting all four girls in a lot for less than $100 (unboxed but in great condition with factory hair, all their stuff, etc) and they are my favorite dolls, I ended up grabbing some fashion packs too. If anyone wants one but doesn't want to pay Jun prices, I think Kana is so underrated, she's just so cute in person with her freckles.
One of my favourite Barbie dolls I own is one from 2009 or 2010 I think and it was a set with Barbie and ken with a wedding theme. The Barbie is absolutely beautiful and is definitely my favourite ❤
Ooooh the eternal sailor moon doll *___* So cute!
I'm a bratz collector in a european country without amazon so I never had a chance to get the mean girls dolls
I had a Star Darlings doll myself. Piper, I think it was. They are seriously cute.
i totally get you on vega, leona was one of my grails for sooooo long and she was always so expensive even when missing pieces! i finally snagged her for a little over retail and i was sooooo happy!!
As a young boy, my mom bought me a passion 4 fashion Cloe and she was the only doll I had for at least 5 years. As embarrassing as it may seem, I spent at least 300+ a year ago on her because she meant so much to me then and now she's the crown jewel of my Bratz collection. A doll that was only worth 10 dollars in 2008 definitely isn't worth that much money, but she holds a special place in my heart and I'm glad to have her now. Thank you for this video!
i was so happy when the brittney lee frozen dolls went on sale for half off because im OBSESSED with her art style and frozen and whenever i see them on my shelf i smile oh so big
Oof I have 4 Smart Dolls so these are definitely the most expensive dolls I own full stop.
As for deals, my local market was still selling pretty old Monster High dolls way past their usual shelf life, so I got a NIB Jackson Jekyll for like $10 when he was going for like $100 online at the time.
I recently got 2 Smart Dolls, when the pear body came out. They are so beautiful and fun to pose
My husband bought me the Ella Fitzgerald Barbie for my birthday this year. He paid $200. I love the doll, but he got robbed.
my biggest flex are my samantha and nellie dolls i got a few months ago :D i got both of them in pretty fantastic shape AND 3 books AND a few outfits for $125. i just got back into american girl this summer, that's when i started reading the samantha books (and adored them!!!). i was considering getting a samantha doll, but i definitely didn't want a beforever one, so i got really lucky to find that listing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i never would have imagined i'd have both samantha AND nellie
to make it even better, my nellie isn't even orange at all 🥰 other than that, my most valuable doll is probably my childhood sweet screams ghoulia. she was always one of my favorite dolls i owned when i was younger
ive been thrifting a lot this year and ive found a lot of good stuff for cheap, esp odette from the swan lake barbie movie almost complete, the mattel giselle doll in her pink dress (there were TWO DUPLICATES of that doll too and i hope they also got bought by collectors), a designer snow white doll (from the disney store heroes and villains 2-packs), and one of the versace barbies of all dolls
Probably my Reel Drama Collection that i got 30$ for each doll(they were on sale in Brazil due to having just a huge stock that wouldn't sell at all)
I’m just getting back from a doll show!!! ❤
So a few weeks ago I scored a complete without stand Divinely Luminous Elyse Jolie for under 300$. She goes for $500-600+ usually so I was GAGGED
This was so interesting. I have a bundle of G1 monster high that I no longer display, so no idea what they are worth. I fell in love with Rainbow High dolls and have quite a few of them. Nothing too expensive, but probably Sabrina would be the top price. I would never sell any of my dolls, so price doesn’t matter to me.
Juku Couture is my favorite doll line! I have 3 out of 4 of the first release, all 4 of the re-release, and my brag is I have all 4 of the limited edition launch party dolls! Only 100 of each character were made and they are all new in box. :) They are all extra fancy versions of the first release!
I actually paid below retail for my Trixie Integrity doll, since she was my first IT doll I got a slight discount & I had managed to catch her on the rerelease. I don’t intend to sell her, but it’s nice to know her value has appreciated so much over the years since I’ve bought her.
Interesting video👍🏻
Would love to see one about the dolls that are still on your wishlist:)
congratulations on being engaged! i had no idea so if this is belated i apologize 😅
My first big girl doll purchase that wasn’t from a flea or anything was at my local comicon this past summer and it was just such a find I couldn’t pass her up. I purchased a kissing/kissing booth barbie however, not the standard one that a lot of people have from the 70s. I don’t know how many of these were made but for some reason, they made a special edition one where her default outfit is a yellow dress and the pink dress that she normally comes with was a secondary outfit. Originally the booth was selling her for $200 and I got them down to 150. Because they had never seen one of these so they didn’t know what the pricing was so I go home and start looking her up so few of them were ever made that the prices range anywhere from three to $400 to a thousand. I nearly passed out when I saw those numbers.
I still truly have no idea what her actual monetary value is
LOL, I noticed straight away that you had a doll down. 😂😂
The most expensive doll Ive bought is Bratz Treasures Sasha. I felt like I lost my mind but I love her so much.
I'm not a fashion doll collector but I still have all of my fashion dolls from childhood, I think the one that holds the most value to me is a baby Bratz Jasmin my cousin sent me when me and my family lived in a different country. It was her favorite and one day I randomly got it in the mail and was so existed
My most expensive dolls are tied at about 50$
They are the Bandai Premium Princess Serenity doll and then a Tinkerbell and Rani lot that I bought
Rani is my FAVORITE Disney Fairy but they never made many dolls of her because she was a book exclusive character 💔
Princess Serenity was a birthday gift
My holy grail doll though is Barbie Fairytopia Mermaidia Elina and when I finally get her, she's def gonna be my most expensive 🥲
Rani is my fave too!!
I went to my first doll show over the weekend and picked up the Bob Mackie Queen of Hearts Barbie for about $40, so she's officially my most valuable Barbie. The seller gave me a bundle deal since I bought two other dolls from her. My Vampire Heart Draculaura has probably appreciated in monetary value the most, and my most sentimentally valuable doll is a porcelain princess doll that belonged to my grandma who also collected dolls and inspired me to collect 💕
i have a few my little pony brushables on me. my luckiest find was of derpy hooves that i got for $5. you can find a lot of g3 / g4 ponies for good prices in flea markets and it’s where i was able to build some of my mlp collection.
The best score I ever had was a box of dolls I got from Facebook marketplace. The doll I wanted which was shown in the picture was the I Dream of Jeannie barbie, but you couldn't see the other dolls. Well, when I got the box home she wasn't in there, but inside was an original Busy Steffie, a Walking Jamie, a talking Stacey and a Sun Loving Malibu PJ.
I’ve rerooted a lot of Barbie dolls. My favorite is Northwest Coast Native American. First of all, I bought her new in box for only $25. She had been on my grail list for a long time. I rerooted her hair, and it goes all the way to her ankles. I treasure her the most because I went through hell to reroot her. At one point I thought I’d ruined her when she sprang a hot glue leak. But I actually recovered from that with some baby oil and a fine tooth comb. She is gorgeous.
Watching videos like this makes me a little sad because I had a HUGE doll collection as a kid into my teens. My mom threw all my dolls away when I was 15. I don't know if it was the same line but I had Rocky and Cece disney dolls and I took them everywhere with me. I had gold elastic Lagoona, Draculara, Frankie along with Deuce and Cleo. My sister actually broke my Deuce because she was throwing him around so the elastic snapped. The only doll that remains is the Ghoulia that came with her scooter, I only have the doll though no accessories or anything like that but I'm happy at least 1 survived.
Out of my current collection I know the older holiday Barbies dont cost much on the second hand market but my sister has bought 3 for me and I couldn't be any happier. When I started collecting again my family was pissed (even though I pay for them myself?) but my sister has bought so many for me. My best friend also bought the repro Ghoulia and I cried for like 15 minutes while unboxing her. OG Ghoulia was SO DIFFICULT to find when these were coming out for some reason. I remember going to every toys r us, walmart and target with my grandma to find her and I never did.
not a doll collector by any means but I do own one American Girl doll, Josefina, specifically the special edition re-release from a few years back with her original outfit and accessories. I was given her as a graduation present and I love her ❤
My luckiest finds to date:
- Bratz Pouty Princess Cloe for €1
- Bratz Star Singerz Jade VARIANT for €15, I saw one listed for €400 the other day.
- MyScene Juicy Bling Madison for €2,50
- Magic hair Sasha in a massive lot for €35 total
I may not have achieved anything meaningful in life but luckily I have ✨️doll✨️.
Thank you for entertaining us as always xoxo
Literally this Thursday just passed I’ve got the full collection of twilight Barbie dolls for half the market value all brand-new in box. Absolutely jawdropping, I dream of mine since I was a child!
Pullip dolls are my most expensive dolls and unfortunately the company that produces them has really slowed in the last year. I am pretty satisfied with my collection and while very expensive they are beyond stunning and I treasure them. In terms of getting the most value out of a doll relative to price, I think nothing will top rainbow high/shadow high at their height. The quality and detail of those dolls for being a play line on regular shelves was insane. Those are the dolls that got me back into collecting ❤ crazy to think their golden age was a couple years ago now, miss that time!
I didn't know about this horse doll at all. I love it :) so cute
TJ Maxx currently has Style Bae Dylan on clearance. They also had Harper, but those sold out quick.
My luckiest finds where when I got a pinkie cooper goes to Paris doll, in a flea market with all her original clothes minus her boots and accessories for 5 USD, I also got the pirates of the Caribbean attractionista for a similar price years later, and the Aquarius zodiac girl doll in box for like 8 dollars once!
Sentimentally, my two most valuable dolls are Pink and Pretty and Fashion Jeans, both from the early 80s. My top 2 most gorgeous dolls are the Pink Gala Odile, and Way Out West. The first doll I bought as a 40 something year old starting collecting again was WWE Superstars Naomi. I love her smile and her woman power. She’s just a bada$$. ❤
I have a MIB Masque Madness Barbie that I bought on clearance for $11 back in the day...❤ Unfortunately I gave away most of my dolls when I got out of High School and started working, but my Mom saved her for me 😊 she always loved the My Scene dolls too.
I found a My Fair Lady Ascot Race Barbie at a thrift store for under $10. She was missing her hat but I happened to find it in a bag of mixed doll clothes the same day. In the end she was missing a shoe but she was also under $10 for a doll that can sell for at least $25 and up to $100+
Most valuable sentimentally, maybe my 96 Holiday Barbie I got right before I changed jobs. It reminds me of family. I've also had a few lucky finds at antique shops, like what seems to be a quick curl doll from the 70s for like $3.50. Not sure if her head and body were swapped but don't care. Most of my collection is barbies from the 70s, 80s, and 90s, with a couple newer dolls and four Frankies mixed in.
I dont buy nib dolls so this was an interesting video to see this side of the collector second hand market... I feel like getting good prices really is a luck and perseverance game for everyone though... I try to keep all my purchases under twenty dollars but I end up spending a good chunk of money on clothes bc i like restyling them but I splurge occasionally I have a vintage Japanese varient Alan I spent forty-five dollars on... And i spent about forty on the monster high boy mermaid Finn in his wheelchair... My most recent win was a Kida from Atlantis doll for only twelve dollars cause she's naked but in new condition... No matter what you pay you gotta just make sure it's good for your own budget and it's something that sparks joy
I am surprised that you did not mention Lily Cheng. Considering current prices on international online shopping platform, she’s my most expensive doll. But in my home country she is still available for about 60$ from online retailers.
The thing I can brag is that I have no. 1, 2, 3, 4 blonde ponytail Barbies, the full set of Irwin sailor moon (inner , outer, starlight, villain and tuxedo mask included doubles of each out of box and inbox for display) I got Indegrity doll Nu. Face Lukas still in box , I got starberry shortcake, blue berry muffin and mint tulip in box with original scent, I got carrousel, snail cart, berry bake shoppe all new in box never been open. And that’s what I remember so far.❤
Well, I have some of those "golden elastic" monster high dolls, and I found them for prices between 3 to 7 dollars in flea markets and garage sales, I also found some kind of rare ever after high dolls at similar prices. That was several years ago, but I still have those dolls, and I love to brag how cheap I got them xD
Last year I had the luck of getting an new in box SDCC Cedar Wood for 150 off of ebay. I was so excited when she came in, she was one of my grails 🖤🖤🖤
I've never been this early
My most valuable doll right now would probably be Roller Girls Kennedy from My Scene. I got her complete for $70 USD (BRL $400) , i'm not from the US so i just looked for her price on ebay and almost fell to my knees in shock
i have her too! still in box 👀
@@vespiaries so lucky! It's my favorite line
@@ovosan4195i really wish i’d been actively collecting at the time, i would’ve loved to hunt down the other girls from that line, it’s so fun 🥰
I got a footlocker FULL of OG Monster High dolls including some gold elastics in 2018 for $100 on Facebook Marketplace. Like there were at least two dozen dolls. I think that's also where I got parts of the school playset and Scaris playset parts, but still I was shocked she only wanted that much. I should have documented it lol.
