This seems like a great guitar for nearly anyone. Beginners, intermediate and pro players can all benefit from having an affordable guitar that is built to play well. This isn’t an unplayable POS guitar - makes it a no-brainer for a beginner to get something that’ll make learning a joy and intermediate and seasoned players to use a a really nice beater that will likely become a favorite. I’ve never tried a Fesley, but it seems like they just keep getting better. Some models are even coming equipped with name brand parts from Wilkinson and Grovers for a guitar that’s just above $300. Like holy crap, dude! I don’t know how they are making such killer guitars while still making a profit, but the big boy guitar brands need to start making some changes cause they’re losing mega bucks to Fesley, Leo Jaymz, and IYV.
It definitely seems nice, it did come with sandpaper to file the frets which I thought was a little odd. Even if it needs fretwork, most people don't know how to properly level and crown frets. I certainly don't. So far so good but the bent selector switch was definitely a strike against it. When you're making stuff in China for pennies on the dollar I imagine there's a lot more gross margin. We shall see how the cookie crumbles, so far I've dug the fesley stuff they've sent me. Thanks as always masha, happy holidays
At $339 it's a no-brainer for someone looking to get into a T-style guitar. The Esquire is a beauty and has that cool-guy factor in spades. The Vintage guitar is a rich guy's investment instrument. The Fesley is a working man's tool, and looks great to boot.
tele's/esquires are awesome. Great sound on this tele copy though. I wish my first cheap guitar was that good...Excellent production Benny as usual. Happy Holidays!
I do prefer slot top tuners with the hole in them as fender put on teles. They are simple and fast. No top wrap. No poke. Take the strings off and on again when working on them without getting new strings every time. Perfect for profect guitars.
I think this proves why a PRS SE is so over-the-top such a great value...for just a bit more $s than this Fesley you get a great axe. In the end it is what inspirational in the hand comes out in the finger...
Man, when we were coming up, sick budget guitars did NOT exist. And I find it cool that you are showing newer players that they don't need to go buy the big names, to get the sounds. The big names are a luxury now, plenty of budget guitars out there for everyone. Firefly is another good brand
That 12" radius makes it a better telecaster for a guy that so far I've seen mostly Gibson content from. I'm sure you dont do all Gibson, the algo has shown me a lot of your Les Paul stuff, like Triglyceride, I tried to type Trogly, google thought I meant something else.
The Esquire is so far out of my price range that I can only admire it, with no realistic idea of ever owning one. Being able to play that baby the other day when I visited you, was beyond awesome. Yeah, it is a fantastic guitar, plays beautifully, has that ‘Tele’ bite and has plenty of mojo. The Fesley looks good, and sounds good too, but then again, there are a lot of Fender, Squier, and other brand Tele type guitars out there that do the job very well. I have some reasonably priced Squier and Fender Teles that play and sound as good as my higher end Teles. Of course my higher end Teles are more in the $2000-$2500 range, not even close to that Esquire’s price tag. For a non professional like me, heck my best Teles would probably satisfy me as much as the Esquire…..but owning that Esquire…..well, that’s a whole different story….and again, so cool to have played it. Thanks for that, Benny and awesome video as usual. 😉
Oh, and for me, Tele Players would be Rick Parfitt and Francis Rossi of Status Quo….a band with 2 fantastic Tele guitarists! I’m biased tough, ‘cause Quo is my favorite band. Hope you have a fantastic Holiday, Benny!
HVA58, you can easily build a similar Esquire/Telecaster that will quickly become your best friend and best guitar. They don't have to be vintage, they just have to be exactly how you envision one. Simplest guitar ever, fool-proof design that has lasted the test of time.
@@hkguitar1984Thanks, but, I have some very nice Teles that satisfy me. My favorites are a pair of ‘97 Tele Pluses. That Esquire is pretty awesome, but I’m ok with my current bunch of Teles. 😊😉
In general, I think vintage guitars do not sound so far superior from a "modern" guitar to justify the cost difference. You're really paying for rarity, not sound. Each person can decide whether that investment is worth the price. I wasn't a telecaster person either until I got one. It's a part build but sounds so amazing! And it's a lot more comfortable to play than I expected.
That is not a quartersawn neck. Look at the grain. If it were quartersawn, it would be completely straight and very tight. If they aren’t honest about that, I have to be skeptical of other specs as well. Fake Grovers and Wilkinson parts are readily available on AliExpress extremely cheap, and that’s probably what’s on it
I Google the G2...They're a cheaper series but they're real. The Wilkinsons are def real, too, just by the quality, but hey, I appreciate the feedback. I def am always skeptical, but I will say this guitar is pretty rad. I also would never buy a "budget" guitar
The Esquire sounds like $hit compared to the Fesley. Since you are a good guy and I feel sorry for you getting stuck with that guitar, I'll be glad to take the Fender off of your hands for $300.
Nice comparison, Benny. Thanks! That Esquires is dreamy. The Fessley is certainly a nice guitar.
🤘🤘 happy holidays, my friend

I like other stuff, too, but I definitely am a Gibson/PRS guy for the most part.

And what he doesn't tell you is all those guys bought those Esquires for a lot less than 35k.
My pleasure howard, it was great to spend time with you and your family!

I own a custom shop Strat and I like the tele tones I get from it better than any tele.
thanks for sharing brother
I have Esquire tastes and a Fesley budget.
haha I like that!

When the Aliens come shopping for telecasters Hey dudes they are both made on Planet Earth🤪

Good try bro....LOL
@@phineashenshaw Damn! I'm talking cash money here!
I highly doubt those are real Grovers on the Chinese cheapo. Otherwise almost any cheap guitar can play well with with proper care and maintenance.
They're definitely real grovers. they're the Grover g2 series. grovers are all made overseas btw
