It’s actually crazy how Neymar’s transfer from Barcelona to PSG not only had a butterfly effect on Liverpool, but you can honestly pinpoint it to having affected a lot of teams around the world, it broke the transfer market, it was the beginning of the end of Barcelona truly being elite, and it even affected other European giants
It somehow led to bayern winning 2020 ucl in a way
Messi to psg
Luis Enrique gone
Decline of barca and rise of real
End of neymar has a terrific player
Liverpool in general
And in general left funds circulating in the transfer market
@@MrTasti-yz1siWhat rise of Real ? They had already won 2 ucls in a row
He literally inflated the market which is why we see so much more 100 mill transfers now , Barca went into debt trying to find his replacement and Psg are always gonna have money
2020 messi was still at barcelona though @@MrTasti-yz1si
3* @@mauratlantean3002
Same butterfly effect made FC Bayern win the UCL.
Another butterfly effect was Neal Maupay's injury on Leno.
making them win the sextuple, and the iconic 8-2 win because of coutinhos loan to bayern
It also made ronaldo win the euros but its a moth
Neal Maupay has to be the craziest butterfly effect I’ve ever seen
Who would’ve thought that a harsh collision from a mediocre French striker would give rise to Argentina’s to-be 1st choice GK, who would eventually go on to make a historic save to snatch the World Cup victory from HIS HOME COUNTRY
@@CarassiusAuI remember watching that game live back in 2020. It's crazy watching that match not knowing that it would become one of the most important matches in football history.
@@stupiditiusmaximusi dont think bayern won because coutinho was loaned to them. he was subbed on when it was already like 5-2 or something
Hey wanna hear a crazy one?
The controversial disallowed goal from Sheffield Untd against Aston Villa made Sheffield get relegated by one goal. That meant Villa would stay up. Villa then bought Emi Martinez who got selected for Argentina because of his heroics for Aston Villa. So if the goal line tech worked in that Premier League match then France would have won the 2022 World Cup since Martinez wouldn’t have been selected for the world cup squad.
whats even crazier is that, emi martinez was a nobody at arsenal - until NEAL FUCKING MAUPAY injured Bernt Leno, giving Martinez the chance to shine.
@@moltentheoryx3332I was about to say that. You could absolutely make this exact style video stating at the beginning, “Neil Maupay helped Argentina win the World Cup”
Well not really, our (Argentina) coach already had his eyes on him and told him that if he wanted to be considered for a call up he had to be the first choice keeper at his club. So yes, it was Villa after all what brought him here but I'm willing to bet it wouldn't have been too different if he was signed to any other mid-table team on the top 5 Leagues.
This is incorrect, the year that the goal we scored against Aston Villa that wasn't given was the 19/20 season, it was actually the first game back after COVID and the season restarted. That season we finished mid table. It was actually Bournemouth that got relegated because of this goal not being given, they threatened to sue the goal line technology team. This is the only reason Aston Villa are in the position they are now and Bournemouth are struggling. The year after is when we were relegated in 20/21
Or Holland would have won the World Cup instead of Argentina ;)
Its wild to think about the fact that Neymar would probably be the best player in the world, had he just stayed at Barcelona
Not as Long as Leo was there and as someone who thinks Neymar is probably the most technically gifted Brazilian of the 21st century, Leo is just God's Greatest gift to football
@@tateihuhwa9089nah, Messi would have helped Neymar reach his peak potential and win Ballon D’ors just like they helped Suarez win that golden boot. They probably would have gone back and forth a few times winning it
Would have helped if he didn't take January off every season to shag his sister
@@tateihuhwa9089 he would’ve won a ballon d or
Lmaoo Neymar was always unprofessional, that's the reason for his downfall
I love the fact he uses cars as a way to describe the amount of money spent, thats the best way to explain it to a football and car guy
I work valet in SF and we had a Ferrari pull up and me and my buddies started to talk about how expensive it is. Knowing that a player could be worth HUNDREDS of Ferraris really put into perspective how much they get paid 💰
@@aldo1871 Best analogy
It's also useful 'cause it's a common item people use financing to afford - likewise how football clubs use private financing firms to afford the increasingly common massive transfer fees
It is ool and considerate
@@aldo1871 the transfer sum paid from one club to another is not the same thing as the players wages at all. the highest transfer sum ever paid for lionel messi is 0$.
Crazy one too:
David Beckham was one of the most wanted players in the summer of 2003, numerous teams wanted him but the biggest ones were ofc Barca and Real and he chose Real cuz of the marketing reasons where both Real and him especially would earn a lot of money and Real became "the Hollywood of the football" with him, Zizou, R9, Raul, Roberto Carlos, Figo, etc now Barca without their target they went on to find another one, and they found one in Paris, his name is Ronaldinho who was also a top priority that summer and Man United now without their RM were in pursuit, luckily for them they were playing friendly match with Sporting where they not only found a new RM but a new superstar in Sporting, young CR7 and they signed him and gave him a no.7 immediately after Beckham left Man Utd, so if Beckham chose to join Barcelona, he would occupied a RW or RM spot in the squad, where Messi would never got a chance to flourish and Man Utd would probably went on to sign Ronaldinho, where they wouldn't to sign CR7 if that happened, so David Beckham signing for Real Madrid actually led to the greatest era in football and the greatest rivalry in sports history with Messi and Ronaldo
Where the hell did you get all this information? This skit is kind of wild to think about
Messi wasn't a winger until suarez came in, pep played him as false 9
@@utkarshmalik5560 bro there was a time before Pep and he played as a RW while Etoo played as a striker, even in the first and a half of second season he played as a RW, there were exceptions like against Real where he was false 9
That means no haaland and mbappe because they were both inspired by cristiano Ronaldo.
I also mentioned Beckham getting dropped by Capello, led to him going to the MLS, increased the value of that league tenfold, and gave him his own team that Messi ended up joining which further increased the value of the league. All of which is going to propel football into being one of the most popular sports in the US which is going to mean lots of investment in talent, development etc. The US team will be a force to be reckoned with in 20 years and knowing those corporate fucks they will bribe their way into establishing a world champions league or even just a global league in general.
Jurgen Klopp is argubly Liverpool's greatest signing in the last two decades.
No need to argue, we don’t win a single trophy without him
Arguably???
Neal Maupay injuring Leno is the biggest butterfly effect in football. It led to Martinez getting a chance at goal, who then led to Messi’s and Argentina’s World Cup win
thats a domino effect
Ballon D'Or as well
Actually it was Armani saving a penalty against Paraguay in the Copa America 2019, if Argentina lost that game, Scaloni would have been sacked. So it was Armani the goalkeeper th one who saved Scaloni as Argentina manager.
@@UrAvgGamer well messi would have still won the ballandor considering how famous he is and how some stupid football jounalist think he had a better season than Mbappe and Halland.
I mean if you really consider world cup to be most dominant factor than:
-Mbappe captained his country to the final
-Scored a hat-trick in the final
-most goals
-the best player alongside Messi at the World Cup
-Had a far better European season than Messi
if worldcup is not the mos prestegious event then haland wins
@@AliMuhammad-vo3cz stay crying
as a Barcelona fan, that night in Anfield killed me emotiinally
No other game has hurt me more 😔. Not even the 8-2
as a liverpool fan thank you and youre welcome
As a Liverpool fan, it almost broke my ankle:)
-
Storytime, we went 3-4 up because of Trent masterclass, I jumped against my mums wooden table in the living room. That jump ripped some skin off the side of my right foot, it was badly bruised. Couldn't properly walk for like a week
To give a Barcelona fan PTSD, just say: "Corner taken quickly Origi!"
If dembele didn't miss that open goal.... but don't worry. I promise you. Barcelona will have their revenge. I just feel it. It will be at the perfect moment as well
Neymar transfer is probably the most influential transfer in football history, for barca, liverpool, real madrid, psg itself, Meesi, Mbappe, Brazil, the whole market, etc.
Liverpool needed it the most because they won the league and everything else after so long and now they have the revenues to compete year in year out against the best. They're pulling in crazy revenue's now.
Neymar transfer to PSG wasn’t a butterfly wing flap, it was a hurricane 🌀
Here's a butterfly effect for you.
If gerrard never slipped, Liverpool would've won the league and Brendan Rodgers would've stayed in charge for about another season or two. This means Liverpool would've never been able to sign Klopp and win all those trophies.
If Brendan had won the league Liverpool would trust his judgements and he would've made a lot of positive changes. So keeping him for 2 or 3 more seasons he probably could achieve big things.
But Klopp got the perfect club for him and Liverpool got the perfect coach for them at the perfect time, when they just got Coutinho money. That's what Klopp capitalized on and made marquee signings bcuz Karius was a joke keeper. Allison and Van Dijk were essentials and Salah and Mane sealed the deal for victory.
that's not how a butterfly effect works. That's a what if scenario.
@@epydemiq1 Karius wasn't a joke keeper, he had a concussion and he wasn't that bad.
That's like saying Kepa is a great goalkeeper right now.
The craziest one was the fact that Manuel Pellegrini, who was in-charge for winning the league for City that season, would have been fired had he failed to win the league, and City was heavily linked to Pep even during those times, which meant that Pep wouldn't have managed Bayern and joined City with the most scuffed line-up. So, technically-speaking, it was Pellegrini who had been preparing the squad for him.
@@kohikappu Honestly he's a joke. I know concussion was the excuse after all the mess, PR working well, he's an okay keeper though at best. Karius been prone for errors, the season before he was dropped from Klopp starting XI for the same mediocre reasons and had to play Mignolet. Allison has and will always be an upgrade for Liverpool from Karius.
I think beckham almost going to barca is a crazy butterfly effect too. Had beckham gone to barca in 2003 united would have gone for their top target ronaldinho. This would have meant that united would have not signed ronaldo from sporting so who knows what would have happened
Cr7 would’ve gone to Arsenal then
@@aldo1871 maybe and that would have made arsenal probably the best team in england or maybe the world at the time. So it is crazy what beckham going to barca would have done for the football world
@@danielmcallahan facts
They probably wouldve signed ronaldo anyways as he was a prospect and not very expensive. Ronaldo was pretty much hencued for his first season
@@caralho5237 no united came in last second. had they not signed him ronaldo wouldve signed for arsenal
Neymar wanted to get out of Messi's shadow just to sign for PSG and live in Mbappe's shadow and later in Messi's shadow again 😂
not really messi's shadows again, Messi flopped at PSG, and both of them were under Mbappe's shadows under his Captaincy
@@AliMuhammad-vo3cz Do you not remember the time last year when Mbappe tricked Real Madrid and disgraced himself? Everyone, not just Real fans, turned away from him for a month at least, I think during that time he could relate to Neymar as in temporarily living in Messi’s shadow.
@@AliMuhammad-vo3cz
Messi flopped?? If you had any braincells, you would’ve known that Messi had the best G/A ratio in all of Europe in those years he played in PSG. Messi in PSG had 41 G/A in 41 games at the age of 35. He had 16 goals & 16 assists in ligue 1 while playing as attacking midfielder. KDB who was the most similar profile to Messi had 16 assists and 7 goals. So you could argue that Messi was the best attacking midfielder last season, considering he carried struggling PSG to 3 titles and providing all the assists to Mbappe and Neymar. Not to mention, Messi was the only player last season to register 20+ goals and assist all competitions.
It’s a fact that Mbappe wouldn’t have scored most of his goals if weren’t for Messi so both him and Neymar were in his shadows so seethe harder Penaldog. Pendu flopped in the biggest stage in football, the World Cup that even Maguire has more knockout goals than him LOL.
Another one I feel no one’s mentioning is the ash cloud that cancelled lewandowskis flight to join Blackburn, and led Dortmund signing him then him joining Bayern and winning all the trophies
I wonder why he even wanted to go to Blackburn, I know they have history but were they even in the premier league
The biggest butter fly effect is how a fremch player (Maupay) injured Leno, which then caused Martinez to get a look in and cement his place in goal for Argentina and Messi beat France in the WC finals so Messi could secure his legeacy
Well articulated boss, I never saw it that way. So Barcelona helped Liverpool to become the best team in England & Europe.
They helped rebuilt the club if you think about it
7:25 that Champions League group may have affected Napoli as well. Ancelotti was coaching them, and they proved to be strong opponents for both Liverpool and PSG (who then started being on friendly terms with Napoli). Because of their newfound European form, Napoli with Ancelotti started growing stronger, and he was even getting talks with Zlatan Ibrahimovic to join him because they were in need for a new striker.
In late 2019, however, Ancelotti was sacked, and replaced with Gennaro Gattuso. Zlatan didn't join Napoli (since Ancelotti being there was one of the primary reasons he'd have come), but, even after winning the Coppa Italia, Napoli still needed a new striker, and found him in a young Nigerian star called Victor Osimhen.
He obviously became an integral part for Napoli, and, a few years later, lead them to their first Serie A title in 33 years.
As a result, being paired with the two teams that benefitted from Neymar's transfer brought Napoli two trophies.
I'm a Liverpool fan and when PSG played Napoli in that same year Di Maria scored a late equalizer that that keep Liverpool second in the group
@@razer0072073 that match was a key reason why the supporters of Napoli and PSG are friends
emi martinez (arsenal's backup gk) went to russia in 2018 to watch argentina play in the wc
during lockdown football arsenal's main gk got injured due to collision with a player
martinez came of the bench and gave solid performances also leading arsenal to a fa cup and community shield
he went to villa and became argentina's first choice gk
won the copa america in 2021
won the finalissima in 2022
and finally winning the fifa wc in 2022 being hero in 2 penalty shootouts
won the golden glove and yashin award
I wouldn’t necessarily consider the most expensive transfer in the history of the game to be the flap of a butterfly’s wings 😅😂
One big butterfly 😂

bro how can this video doesn't blow up,this is absolutely a gem.
Can u do the one about Leno injury that makes Emi Martinez show his legacy.
which leads to messi winning the world cup
The quality of the video is class. You should make more 🔥🙌

Phil is 100% right footed.
I forgot how much Salah, Ali, VVD cost. Worth every single penny.
One crazy butterfly effect happening right now is Botafogo bottleing the brazilian legue because of the liverpool win over Ajax. If someone wants to know it, ask me lol
Why?
Henry and Eto'o were snubbed from that list of Barcelona players
I didn't know where you were talking this but you pulled it around and gave us a pretty good video ❤
❤Lovely Video, hella intrigued
If Almunia didn't save that penalty and then proceed to the famous Hogg-Deeney moment, Leicester would be promoted one season earlier and probably would never get the chance to create the greatest turbulance in Premier League's era.

If neymar did not leave barcelona i believe he would've won the ballondor by now if you go look back at neymar barca days suarez and Messi usta pass him the ball alot so he would be the 1 scoring the goals but he usta miss most of them
Nahh he dosent miss that much even messi misses messi and neymar was playmaking a lot for suarez
Thats your opinon ik i watched most of barcelona games an in the last season neymar knew he wasnt staying at barca that's why he missed so much because he mind wasnt there at barca anymore im a huge barca fan so you cant tell me what i have been seeing when he was there 2016-17 season was his worst
Wowow great vid broski keep these coming🔥🔥🔥

Great video, hope we will win PL this season
Very well made video, underrated channel
Neymar's transfer might have also led to the rise of the Saudi Pro League. Because of Neymar, now football stars have a HUGE value, and can demand ABSUDRLY LARGE wages, to the point where, pretty much, only European giants (like Real Madrid and Bayern Munich) and clubs with extremely wealthy Middle Eastern owners (lie PSG or Manchester City) can actually afford them. As a result, said wealthy owners can now get their hands on superstars, and have them play in their own league
Great work!
Barca signed Dembele to replace Neymar Coutinho was a bit after I think
Great Video 💯💯
Neymar's transfer also caused a Catastrophic demise of Barça as well. 222 Million that has caused the club everything it was known for. Being a Culé these days is an emotional nightmare. We literally never know when we will be happy or belligerently angry.

every action by any footballer at any time, whether in a match or in their life, affects every outcome in football around the world, whether its today or in 100 years or 1000 years time. This only highlights one of the actions, but it's just an action that stands out to us. Most others don't
Just a fun story though.
Thanks to Neymar to Liverpool is always grateful 😂
With out Neymar leaving, Barcelona don’t spend 100’s of millions on replacements (dembele, griezmann, continho, Malcom etc) they don’t go into horrible debt, Messi doesn’t leave the way he did
Great video! And even another perspective on the most influencial transfer in football's history. Neymar at that time was worth more than entire clubs, I really wonder what was happening behind the scenes in Barcelona and later at PSG.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Very very good and well made video, brilliant
Great video, man!
Appreciate it! 🙌🏻
I remember both matches perfectly are ingrained in my memory that corner I can’t sleep at night 😢
this is a butterfly effect i know, if armani didnt save 1 penalty in the copa america 2019 scaloni would have never continued to be argentina`s team manager, so the actual team of argentina would have never won neither the copa america 2021 or the world cup, they would have brought gallardo or simeone to manage the national team (it would have been a failure)
Unreal video mate 🤝
Thank you 🙌
I am eternally grateful to PSG and Barcelona for the joy they've brought me soley because of the 2 transfers
the music choice is on point
Sick vid!!!
Prologue to the story: Neymar was instrumental in Barca's historical 6-1 comeback against PSG in 2016-17 UCL scoring 2 goals and assist for Sergio Roberto's late tie-winning goal. It was said he felt he didn't get the credit he deserved and all acclaim still went to Messi. And the rest is history.
what a great video ❤ subscribed
Thank you!
what a fantastic video!! You are great at storytelling, would love to see a similar vid about emiliano martinez and messi winning the world cup
I’m working on it!

Phenomenal video mate, only nitpick is you said Coutinho had a "wand of a left foot," but he was right footed
Damn it, my bad.
@FinnsBinns keep up these types of videos though, you've got a talent for it.
Amazing video, I was born in 89, so never got to see liverpool lift the big one, one of the high points in my life was when we lifted that trophy
And begun the beginning of the end for barcelonas era, now look. Man it kills me
Another great butterfly effect:
Ten Hag joins Man Utd and has issues with Cristiano Ronaldo, resulting in the transfer to Al Nassr. Shortly after getting there, Cristiano calls Portuguese manager Luís Castro, getting him to join the Saudi club.
Castro at the time led Brazilian club Botafogo to the best first leg in the Brazilian league history (15W2D2L), leading the table by 13 points, putting the club on course to win its first national title in 28 years. After Luís Castro left, Botafogo is on its fourth manager, blew the entire lead they had and with 5 games left it’s likely the will fumble the trophy lol

Liverpool got their best players with the Money. Alisson, Van dijk, Trent...
Neymars departure was more like a jumbo jet taking off than a butterfly flapping its wings…
The story telling was beautiful
This is beautiful 😢
Literally everything that happens in football creates a butterfly effect, just like in real life.
If PSG had made a fleet service with 2000 tesla's they wouldn't have made as much money as what Neymar got them through brand value, jersey sales, endorsements, and so much more..
Great video!!!

The cars analogies were spot on.
Not mentioning the signing of fabinho. He was crucial to our success aswell
