Steps for virgin coconut oil:
Separate coconut flesh from shells, cleanse with water and chop them up roughly. Next, add water and coconut pieces to your blender and blend till coconut milk is visible. Strain to extract coconut milk into a bowl. Set coconut milk on your counter top for 2-3 days, or until milk has 2 layers and ferments. Then place bowl in the fridge or freezer till top layer is hardened. That should take about 2-4 hours in the fridge and 30-45 minutes in the freezer.
Next, separate top layer from the water beneath it and cook top layer on low-medium heat setting till the cream and curd crystallize, Brown, and the oil is free from moisture. Cooking should take 20-30 minutes, stirring periodically. Lastly, strain the oil, using a fine strainer.
Steps for coconut body scrub:
Blend crystallized/cream and curd till finely coarse, with similar texture of granulated sugar, and pour into a mixing bowl. Add 3 tablespoons of granulated sugar, and 1/4 cup pure honey and stir till combined. To use coconut scrub, to exfoliate your skin, take a pinch of the scrub and begin to gently rub onto your hands, arms, feet and legs for about 1 minute, and rinse off. This treatment should leave your skin feeling smooth, soft, deeply moisturized, refreshed, and brand new. Your skin will be visibly supple, and moisturized.
DO NOT USE SCRUB TO EXFOLIATE YOUR FACE.

In my hometown in the Philippines, we grated the coconut and we don't ferment but some do it, like my mom. We make coconut oil the same process and the cooked curd is used to garnish our rice cake by adding sugar. Coconut milk also is used to make a coconut jam by adding cane sugar and this becomes a bread spread like peanut butter. And the grated leftover, we do some coconut candies and also as feeds for our hogs.
Thanks will try it, :>)
Good day thank you for the coconut oil
I'm in cameroon
How can I get that strong blender in cameroon
Nice
She did an amazing job. I’m Guyanese and we always made this when we have new born babies for their skin, buying coconut oil was not a thing. 🙌🏽🙌🏽
I just finished my first of many coconut oil productions. Thanks so very much. I’m from the Caribbean and always wait to go home or wait till my parents visits to bring me some, now I can make my own. Thanks again so very much!! I really love everything about your channel.
Ms. Nanaaba, high five for you !!!!
You did so simple, easy, and clean extraction of coconut oil. Your job is done, and it is appreciated.
Thank you a lot, you deserve it.
I'm soo proud of my nephew helping Mommy. Cheers to you all 🎉🎉🎉

Absolutely love this video.
Been making this oil for years. But never have I seen it heard of using the by product . Awesome idea. You did great.
As a child I learnt how to make coconut oil here in Jamaica. I am grateful to you for sharing this method. Back then, we would boil it until the water dries out. Now I know what to do ,skim the ccream off from the top and boil same. We uspally eat the custard or that brown part that is left after boiling the oil. I now know that it can be made into a scrub.
Thanks so much. The coconut is so versatile. Here in Jamaica, pigs and chickens are fed with whats left after the milk is extracted. It can also be sweetened and spices such as nutmeg and cinnamon added afterwhich it is baked in a pastry cup made from dough. Sweet treat. 😋
Shells are used to make jewellery and hair accessories.
Keep on sharing. 👍👍
This is one of the best videos I've have seen regarding coconut oil. I love the fact that you incorporate how not to waste or throw out any part of the coconut. A longer video would be nice for those who truly want to learn how to use every part of the coconut.
Love how you show what to make with the by products! Thank you! Loved the video
Thank you so much for all of your videos. Just hearing you talking shows how much you love what you do. Say, thank you to your son for helping you and your husband for letting you add the scrub portion. I wish you could sell the oil and the scrub. I would buy both of them. All of the coconuts I keep finding here in Indiana are young coconuts.😍 Today I am doing a Nanaaba's Kitchen marathon.
Big ups to Alte for helping mom and also to dad for filming the coconut scrub. A family that films together makes the best videos!
Really that’s wicked , glad because I really like that clean brilliant lady , I support my fellow females/mothers , my son is 20 , my daughter is 19 , respect to your husband sis 😘😘🙏🏾🇬🇧
What a helpful son, so wonderful of you to pitch in to make light work for your mom! Bless you all & thanks for sharing!
Wonderful seeing your son helping in this video will have to check out the rest very interest. Thank you for sharing 🙏🏿🖤✌🏾💯
May God bless your young man and all of you all x❤️ we are living in very wasteful times so your teaching on how to make use of the by products are what make this video sublime!!
One of the best videos I've ever watched on utube. Thank you x
Love that your son supports you. Thanks Son!
The whole process of this preparation is just mind blowing, the byproduct being used for oil, flour, pedicure, body scrub etc. Nothing goes to waste. Thanks for sharing!
I’m very happy you enjoyed the process and it’s outcome 🙏🏾❤️
But she poured the water down the drain which could've been used elsewhere productively
What happens to the chaff?
Thank you for the bonus at the end!! No food waste.
I have to give you ALL the hearts for this video ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you 🙏🏽
Love idea of your son helping, I'm encouraging my son to be independent and mindful of those who will try to use you if you allow them.
''Great job, Beautiful!'' Thanks for sharing!
I love how she keeps the counter top neat at all times

I love your personality. You also explained the process so thoroughly and thanks for the tip at the end. Will def try that.
Thank you son......wow,wow,wow,wow 😍🖤🖤 I have been doing the cold press from the day I learned from your cold video. I love the body scrub also. This how my mum and grandma made it here in 🇯🇲🇯🇲. I have been a subscriber from cold press, I have done several of your recepies drying quarantine and was proud of myself. My son enjoy and love them especially the beef low main.
First of all - thank you for sharing your videos. I just finished making my coconut oil. I followed all your steps. I even shook the brown curd and smiled because I was hearing your voice in my head. Lol. I enjoyed every step and I'm ready to take on my 2nd try. Doing my happy dance. Thank you again.
Excellent! You can drink the juice of the coconut, burn the shells to repel mosquitoes, use the water from the milk for a mani-pedi, make oil, use the left over coconut to make flour & use the curd to make a scrub. Btw, the actual coconut outer husk is also useful.
nice, what can the outer husk be used for?

this is the first time I am seeing your video. I love your personality. Thank you for the very thorough and informative video. Your kitchen looks beautiful and clean and clutter free. Everything about your video was excellent. Adding the hand scrub at the end was very appropriate. You told us how to use every part of the coconut and I appreciate that. Please say hello to your son. I am glad that he took the time to help you. Your personality just made me be so fond of you just from this one video.I plan to watch more of your videos. Yes I did subscribe and hit the like button

You are a beautiful soul Nana. We love you. Excellent job.
Thank you so much 😊
Thank you nd God bless
Thank you! you are so friendly and love how clearly you describe the process.
You're such a joy to watch. God bless the work of your hands!!!
THAT'S GREAT! the only difference of VCO production here in the philippines and the way you produce VC OIL is the application of HEAT. in most cases, here in the philippines, a little heat is applied but NOT TO THE BOILING POINT. the enzymes in the coconut are affected by too much heat. VCO in coconut milk extract can be taken after the purified liquid is allowed to stay overnight or a little longer. the UPPER LAYER will be the coconut cream. the NEXT LAYER IS THE VCO. THE BOTTOM LAYER IS WATER. it takes some patience to slowly separate or get the VCO. then, a little heat, slowly and just enough to evaporate the water in the crude VCO is applied... sort of heating the crude VCO liquid. the purified VCO is almost water clear... and smells wonderful! thank you. keep on your production of your organic VCO. mabuhay!

You remind me of my grandma or bubbie or nana back in the old country when she made her own oils... don't throw out that water nor anything and use everything(some people don't know how to make use of everything we waist nothing. I miss my nana. That is so sweet of you son, you don't see youngsters today up for those challenges, where they could learn new things but are stuck with phone and whatever else is used these days. My dearest sister, I give you a 10. It is well done indeed. I love the care you took to make this and as I said before all this reminded me of my bubbie. Continue with such wonderful videos.
Thank you so much 🥰🙏🏽
