    Coconut Meat Remover : amzn.to/3ewzbO8
    ======================================================
    Steps for virgin coconut oil:
    Separate coconut flesh from shells, cleanse with water and chop them up roughly. Next, add water and coconut pieces to your blender and blend till coconut milk is visible. Strain to extract coconut milk into a bowl. Set coconut milk on your counter top for 2-3 days, or until milk has 2 layers and ferments. Then place bowl in the fridge or freezer till top layer is hardened. That should take about 2-4 hours in the fridge and 30-45 minutes in the freezer.
    Next, separate top layer from the water beneath it and cook top layer on low-medium heat setting till the cream and curd crystallize, Brown, and the oil is free from moisture. Cooking should take 20-30 minutes, stirring periodically. Lastly, strain the oil, using a fine strainer.
    Steps for coconut body scrub:
    Blend crystallized/cream and curd till finely coarse, with similar texture of granulated sugar, and pour into a mixing bowl. Add 3 tablespoons of granulated sugar, and 1/4 cup pure honey and stir till combined. To use coconut scrub, to exfoliate your skin, take a pinch of the scrub and begin to gently rub onto your hands, arms, feet and legs for about 1 minute, and rinse off. This treatment should leave your skin feeling smooth, soft, deeply moisturized, refreshed, and brand new. Your skin will be visibly supple, and moisturized.
    DO NOT USE SCRUB TO EXFOLIATE YOUR FACE.

    In my hometown in the Philippines, we grated the coconut and we don't ferment but some do it, like my mom. We make coconut oil the same process and the cooked curd is used to garnish our rice cake by adding sugar. Coconut milk also is used to make a coconut jam by adding cane sugar and this becomes a bread spread like peanut butter. And the grated leftover, we do some coconut candies and also as feeds for our hogs.

    As a child I learnt how to make coconut oil here in Jamaica. I am grateful to you for sharing this method. Back then, we would boil it until the water dries out. Now I know what to do ,skim the ccream off from the top and boil same. We uspally eat the custard or that brown part that is left after boiling the oil. I now know that it can be made into a scrub.

    Thanks so much. The coconut is so versatile. Here in Jamaica, pigs and chickens are fed with whats left after the milk is extracted.It can also be sweetened and spices such as nutmeg and cinnamon added afterwhich it is baked in a pastry cup made from dough. Sweet treat. 😋
    Shells are used to make jewellery and hair accessories.
    Keep on sharing. 👍👍

Say, thank you to your son for helping you and your husband for letting you add the scrub portion. I wish you could sell the oil and the scrub. I would buy both of them. All of the coconuts I keep finding here in Indiana are young coconuts.😍 Today I am doing a Nanaaba's Kitchen marathon.

    Excellent! You can drink the juice of the coconut, burn the shells to repel mosquitoes, use the water from the milk for a mani-pedi, make oil, use the left over coconut to make flour & use the curd to make a scrub. Btw, the actual coconut outer husk is also useful.

    THAT'S GREAT! the only difference of VCO production here in the philippines and the way you produce VC OIL is the application of HEAT. in most cases, here in the philippines, a little heat is applied but NOT TO THE BOILING POINT. the enzymes in the coconut are affected by too much heat. VCO in coconut milk extract can be taken after the purified liquid is allowed to stay overnight or a little longer. the UPPER LAYER will be the coconut cream. the NEXT LAYER IS THE VCO. THE BOTTOM LAYER IS WATER. it takes some patience to slowly separate or get the VCO. then, a little heat, slowly and just enough to evaporate the water in the crude VCO is applied... sort of heating the crude VCO liquid. the purified VCO is almost water clear... and smells wonderful! thank you. keep on your production of your organic VCO. mabuhay!
