Sorry for making you all think I had quit! That was never my intention in the slightest but I do realize that it's my own fault for not producing anything. I will try my best to do even better!
My favorite place to be at a concert is leaning on the speakers. The mosh pit leaves me alone. And I can only feel the band’s sound. Unlike most of my fellow autistics, the volume of sound doesn’t bother me. The number of speaking people messes me up. I can’t turn them out, so I end up listening to and trying to understand every conversation. It’s exhausting .
Being a music teacher made me enjoy this even more. Just wait until Krill finds out that humans play music to their young to make them smarter, and that doctors use music to help heal brain damage, and that the brainwaves of musicians in a band sync up when they start playing together.
We're not even the only animals on our planet that enjoy music innately; Elephants bob their head to Jazz, parrots will dance to music, and dogs can bark or squeak their toy to the beat of a song.
Make sense in a way, if this enjoyment of pattern is what allow humans to survive on earth than its natural that animal of earth must have it to some degree to help with their survival too.
I can only imagine how Krill would feel if they went to a live orchestra playing something like Beethoven's 9° symphony, 20 mins of pure musical madness filled with complex vocals and melody, it would be near brain-melting
one was beatboxing, one was singing opera, one was rapping. I thought this was going to be towards the " we will rock you" side, but this was so much better
I have to wonder if the desire for a rhythm may come from the heart beat. That tireless pump on our chests needs to keep going, it will speed up and slow down but its always "thump thump... thump thump... thump thump." There's major problems when the heart gets out of rhythm. Anywhom, It's good to see some of Krill's observations again.
Man Krill would lose their mind if they saw the Legendary NYC A-Train Sax Battle (Super Cut). Two people playing complex instruments, both are complete strangers to each other, surrounded by dozens of strangers clapping a beat, cheering, chanting, and dancing, everyone losing their minds, ON A MOVING TRAIN.
The RETURN OF DIAMOND WILLOW! Feel dat music! At first I thought they were just doing a cover of "We will rock you" which another HFY story did. But clearly that wasn't the case.
I'm reminded of Buck Godot: Zapgun for Hire, where they had an entire page and how humans weren't all that special, objectively speaking, but they were so weird that people pay close attention to them in case they are doing something they find mundane, but which the rest of the galaxy would find revolutionary, like making popsicles.
I went through the entire series, and when I was done with the last one, I saw that you had a brand new one out and ready for me to listen to. Thank you so much for making these incredibly relaxing and entertaining videos to listen to. And PLEASE continue making new videos for a long time yet.
I liked this one. It kinda made me think of TierZoo's videos. They're really just about cool facts about animals, but framed as a video about video game characters. Just like this video feels like it's really about an interesting aspect of how humans work, just with the backdrop of comparing them to imaginary space aliens.
i just gotta point out, Krill has heard music, the Captain blared metal music while navigating the imposibly dense astroid field, so this mus have been before that
Me: *Pokes grave of the channel* come on do something Diamondwillow: *bursts out of the grave in a shower of dirt* HUMAN LOVE MUSIC AND ALIENS THINK ITS WEIRD!!! Me: :-D Genuinely could not be happier that you're back :-)
So happy to see this again - Humans are Space Orcs has really been on my mind since seeing a bit about how "space orc" may have come to mean "pitbull." A darker story pondering resilience to shock introducing other species to the very concept of a slow demise.
I love this series I have been waiting for every episode, it's interesting how humans can be so different to a outside experience, please keep uploading and keep up the great work
It's great to see that your still producing excellent content, Humans are space orcs is the best original story I've heard in a long time. I hope to hear more soon, thanks for all the hard work.
Krill reminds me of peridot and I love it XD I only found u tday and ur my fave narrator of these stories (Everton else does that infuriating robot voice changer) and ur voice and story telling style is so nice to listen too ^^
If I remember right human enjoyment of (rhythmical)music is actually relatively new and comes from old times when following a beat helped coordinate movements such as marching, rowing, or other such tasks, there's also the older and more erratic music that was more often used to scare away animals from settlements and camps.
Welcome back Willow nice to see you again that you have indeed not died. Enjoy whatever you been doing regardless but can appreciate you coming back to us ever so often to read a story
Oh thank lord your back. I seriously missed these. I thought you left completely and that I would never hear more of the series that got me into the HFY community. No but seriously thanks for your amazing stuff
It makes me feel like i pspsps'ed this channel back to existence I found yesterday an amazing humans are space orcs fic and it reminded me of this channel. I was like havent seen them for quite a while, they probably have quit by now. Aw man thats a shame their vibe and voice were amazing :((( and right then you pop out back from the abyss lol
Just wait until Krill learns about polyrhythms. Clapping two different beats on your chest and humming a melody, all at once by the same human seems pretty incomprehensible to him
I was late and only found your Chanel a month ago and was sad to see no recent uploads. These stories and your voice are amazing and are wonderful to listen to as I drift off to sleep! Thanks for coming back!
Sorry for making you all think I had quit! That was never my intention in the slightest but I do realize that it's my own fault for not producing anything. I will try my best to do even better!
It's okay!!!! I missed you 🥺 I loved this series and this channel
It's all good just glad to see you are doing well
Don't worry yourself.
BUT:
YOU'RE BACK!!!
I ended up reading the whole thing, but I must says it's Nice to know you're back, your reading is really high quality !
Welcome back :)
Wait until Krill finds out that people who lack the ability to hear can still experience music THROUGH feel, like actual touch
You're the most recent comment, think there's gonna be more?
This is a Certified Beethoven Moment™

Remember how Tolkien said Middle Earth was made? Remember what Sauron and Finrod fought with? Music and Song, truly such things are Magical.
I’m in a band and I didn’t know that are brain waves sync up when playing that’s awesome
Wait we do
@@maxjut3918 indeed we do
wait until Krill learns how sea mammals communicate
Human's brain loves pattern so much that we ended up seeing amogus everywhere
Oh yeah... that.
We're not even the only animals on our planet that enjoy music innately; Elephants bob their head to Jazz, parrots will dance to music, and dogs can bark or squeak their toy to the beat of a song.
Elephants: the giant animal we still treat like a cute kitten. They’re great.
Make sense in a way, if this enjoyment of pattern is what allow humans to survive on earth than its natural that animal of earth must have it to some degree to help with their survival too.

Never permit Krill to listen to EDM, the poor sod would die from cognitive overload.
@@HenshinFanatic I'd imagine krill might actually die if they listened to breakcore
Or Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture
You ever hear one of those mash-ups where it's a song made out of several other popular songs all layered on top of one another?
Krill is literally the nerd emoji but I love them for that
*The idea that aliens don't have music.*
"You have my sympathies."
Krill would be blown away when Bohemian Rhapsody comes on and all humans in a 5 mile radius burst into song
one was beatboxing, one was singing opera, one was rapping. I thought this was going to be towards the " we will rock you" side, but this was so much better
Beat so fire they nearly killed the medic on contact
Krill just got the "We will Rock You" treatment.
Humans kick off rap battles as party trick
"Hey Krillin check this shit out" *plays the "lick my back" song and gives Krill a new perspective on life*
Hit him with some breakcore, and he'd shut down. It can overwhelem normal humans, Krill stands no chance.
I was just thinking how great it'd be if this channel were still alive! I love this stuff and your narration is great
Here we are 😌
@BlazingWarior26D: what do you mean?
God i want to be in the room when Kril hears improvised jazz for the first time
Might melt their brain
Definitely
"Music is powerful, man. Speaks to a primal pit in our brain."
-Jake the Dog
Well yes, we do feel sound. That’s how we hear things.
I have to wonder if the desire for a rhythm may come from the heart beat. That tireless pump on our chests needs to keep going, it will speed up and slow down but its always "thump thump... thump thump... thump thump." There's major problems when the heart gets out of rhythm.

THE RETURN OF THE KING
7:26 I interpret “I’d turn this into a bet” meaning actually wagering something; like money, chores, official bragging rights etc.
Last night I went through the whole series again thinking it would be nice to hear more. Super excited to see this
Man Krill would lose their mind if they saw the Legendary NYC A-Train Sax Battle (Super Cut).

Time to rewatch the a
Whole playlist
its amazing going back to the early stories in this series like this and seeing just how much has changed compared to the latest chapters.
So happy to see this again - Humans are Space Orcs has really been on my mind since seeing a bit about how "space orc" may have come to mean "pitbull." A darker story pondering resilience to shock introducing other species to the very concept of a slow demise.
Oh hey that person is back

I hope to hear more soon, thanks for all the hard work.
they have returned
I just opened the playlist and this was there
Let’s go! I can’t believe they’re back!
Just don't let them fall asleep in a metronome factory, or they'll lose this ability.
Krill reminds me of peridot and I love it XD

I just realised, imagine if krill listened to rush E. I imagine she would literally explode.
It makes me feel like i pspsps'ed this channel back to existence
I found yesterday an amazing humans are space orcs fic and it reminded me of this channel.
