- Azra describes her incredible recovery journey through anxiety. She experienced anxiety as a kid but really experienced anxiety after having her children. At the time, she was frustrated because she couldn't bond with her children because she was so hyper-focused on her anxiety, panic attacks, and physical symptoms. Fast forward a few months -- she's back to living freely and even helping members in the mentorship

should hv tagged this video for Intrusive thoughts. I think this is the first person on Shaan's channel who is honestly talking about them and the fear associated with it. These are how intrusive thoughts really feel like ....they are so weird and terrible. Most people link them to only 'what if's' ....but they are not jst that. They can latch onto harm/inappropriate thoughts around people very close to you. Also u are constantly bothered that u are not able to bond with the person the way u want to due to these weird, bizzare thoughts and the feelings nd sensations that come alongwith them.
I totally agree
Most struggle with this but are afraid to discuss
Thank you for sharing your story. You will reach and help so many people. Your story could have been mine. I am recovered now but have suffered the exact same things. It is so very scary and no one understands unless they have been through it themselves. You are very brave.
@Darla Gosnell how did you recovered?
OMG I’m sorry that she went thru all of this, especially with babies.
I’m a single parent and its tough being in the anxiety cycle & taking care of family.
I had the same exact symptoms & thoughts.
@Brenda Carolina how are you now with the thoughts?
Ya me too.. I used to have these terrible thoughts and wonder what's wrong with me. Currently binge watching all these videos of Dan Buglio, Shaan, the pain pt. Perimenopause is adding to the anxiety lol.
Go Azra!!!!
Go Laura!
This was so good and reassuring 😢❤
Great journey Azea! Proud of you.
I relate to this so much!! Thanks for sharing your story, Azra!
I’m a mom too. I’ve also had anxiety since I was literally like 5. I’m 31 now also . And every time I had my kids I had massive anxiety . And I do have some labels from docs but Covid is what made it worse for me like 3 times .
I RELATE so hard to your story‼️
Wow I can relate this so much especially with the kids as well
Thank you so much for sharing everything you’ve shared. Azra. I needed to hear this and it’s helped me in the midst of a very challenging time. Thank you both!
WHAA! My father is from Bosnia-Herzegovina (former Yugoslavia)!!! LOVED your story, Azra‼️🙌
Thank you so much for sharing your story
Thank you so much for this...Covid was a "great" catalyst for my anxiety as well. It went from like 2 to 9 out of 10...
Thank you for sharing your story ♥️
So much of what you you said is so relatable to my anxiety journey. There is always hope, we have to keep hold of that x
Well done, Azra. Beautiful name, BTW
I live in Chicago too 💜
I can relate to your story, as a fellow mom.
@Zorica Milinkovic did you had the thoughts as well?
Hvala ti, Azra, sto si podelila svoju pricu. Thank you Azra for sharing your story. And thank you Shaan for always mentioning dr. Claire Weekes. She was an angel. Her book saved my life.
🙌
@Dana plz help did you recover?
Oh my gosh that was exactly what happened to me when I was 30 years all. Thank you for your great explanation
When she said that she felt sad when she thought about these existential thoughts, man, that is me, to a tee.
Been suffering with anxiety and depression due to all these thoughts and obsessions for a while now.. 😩
Azra I had the same exact symptoms and thoughts as you. Great to hear you’re doing great.
She’s doing an incredible job coaching the members as well!
@@anxiety_recovery I need her to be my coach! I as well have the thoughts and I have kids 😢
Oh my heart ❤️ thank you for sharing about your intrusive thoughts! It’s scary. When my anxiety was at its worst and I could hardly leave my house my biggest intrusive thought in fear was I was going to go into Psychosis and hurt my kids . Or I would be afraid to take them out because I was afraid I would faint and some one would steal them or they would get lost . when I told my family about this they kind of laughed it off because I can’t even squish bugs in my house I will capture them and bring them outside. It took my a long time to understand I’m not my thoughts. Thank you so much for sharing
@Emma Shook how did you recovered from the thoughts that’s my biggest problem now. 😢
Wild story, I went through all the same symptoms when I had my kids etc. I would highly recommend some of Mark freeman’s videos as well! Life is great now but it took me a year or two of hard work and understanding how to except thoughts and not do the computations. Life is great now and anyone can recover if you understand and do the work. Life is good and proud of everyone on there recovery journey! ❤️
@Eric Jenkins you Lena just go and live your life and let the thoughts be there and symptoms?
I was hospitalized when I was 18 for crazy, intrusive thoughts. I'm 44. If only I had this information now :)
Azra❤️ great video ❤️💚💙
I had the same thing .my anxiety was worse then my covid symptoms
I received completely but recently I have been in severe depression and anxiety and insomnia
Its relatable ofc . people label you as thankless If you try talking about it
Dr weeks spoke of that...
@Johnny Limitless spoke about what? The thoughts?
Her husband a real one
I identify sooooo much with Azra. So many similarities.
Wow azra everything U said happened to me. Lol I think she's me 😆
Same my symptoms.
R u indian
What is the name of the book they mentioned?
Do u recommend medication? Did Azra go on the medication?
What book are they talking about?
Does anyone has experience tingling hands and feet for months because anxiety?
I'm facing a panic attack and I'm feeling numbness left side of my body for 2 months I'm thinking that is the side effect of the vaccine 😥 if anyone facing this problem, please let me know and if you know how to overcome please give a reply thank you 🙏
Are any of you scared of the mechanism of your mind? I don't mean scared of self-harm thoughts, I mean scared of just having thoughts.
Any insight is greatly appreciated.
Yes and I have had many thoughts I have 24/7 symptoms and trying to fight them turns to thoughts one day it was to hurt my kids the next was to hurt myself then what if thoughts and to the point I don't leave the house
Then fear I have physchosis or paranoia etc
@@kristymeyers8415 Sorry to hear that. You definitely don't have psychosis. How do I know? Because you are aware that you're not functioning like you normally would. Someone with psychosis wouldn't be able to tell, but others would.
What caused your symptoms? How did this all start for you?
Does the palpitations go away
Yes
“Existence thoughts”...... the worst
yes, existential dread/crisis when thinking about yourself are the worst
