    5~20 calories is negligible. Most people can eat 1800 calories per day and still be in calorie deficit.

    improve nutritional labelling by giving the calorie & nutrition information for 100g. standardise it so companies can't cheat by having a small serving size that no one uses.

    TLDR; your “zero calorie” drinks are not entirely free of calories BUT the amount is negligible with normal consumption. Nevertheless, while a calorie deficit diet works, it may not be sustainable in the long run (ie. you can’t just eat konjac jelly and coke zero every time). It’s best if you get your caloric consumption thru complex carbs.

    I dont understand why more and more people obsessed with zero calories food. They should exercise more instead. Because 0 calories means less nutritional benefits also. Why should I inhibits body metabolism by putting less nutrition just to lose weight? Better spend the calories by exercising but still get enough minerals, vitamins, essential fat and protein.

  • @simonialei9020

    Water is the only true 0 calorie. Also, the concept of 0-calorie foods/beverages is problematic because it simply reduces the role of exercise to calorie deficiency and, therefore, weight loss. It ignores the other benefits of exercise other than weight loss. For example, exercise improves your mood and energy, provides cardiovascular benefits, and prevents fragility by building muscles, which in turn these muscles burn more calories for you. So bottomline, exercise and eat whole foods, and you will gain so much more benefits than weightloss.

      Calories aside, some of these sweeteners can cause digestive issues (esp for those with IBS) so it's really more about knowing your body and what it can tolerate. Bottomline is it never fails to follow the golden rule of moderation - the fact that these sweeteners have very few calories shouldn't be taken as a green light to drink these sweetened drinks like water

    seriously people believe that those foods has 0 calories? lol

  • @G0n9G0n9
    @G0n9G0n9 Рік тому +1

    Zero calorie foods are being marketed as healthy alternatives, often favored by those looking to lose weight or maintain a calorie deficit.
    However, many products labeled as zero calories actually contain some calories upon testing, with most having less than five calories per serving.
    The discrepancy arises due to rounding off and variations in labeling standards.
    Consumers may be misled by the labeling, assuming products are entirely calorie-free when they are not.
    While some zero calorie products, like a specific honey substitute made from monk fruit extract, may indeed have no calories, it's essential for consumers to scrutinize labels and serving sizes to make informed choices.

    This host looks and sounds good 👍🏻 very helpful and informative video too! Basically, you just need to find balance in your daily caloric intake and monthly expenses.
    You are going to burn an average of 1800 calories a day for females and 2400 a day for males under 40 years old so as long as you don’t over do something, you’re safe. More importantly is your carb, proteins and dietary fat intake but if knowing more about that will cause brain fatigue or anxiety, then it’s better to just stick with basic calorie count 🌸

    2 cal for Coke Zero is basically nothing ? A large size Mocha Frappe is almost 700cal. One large Mocha Frappe is almost equal to 350 Coke Zero which you can drink for a whole year. Like the chef said, just by "digestion", sleep and doing nothing you are already burning calories. On average your body actually burn hundreds to thousands calories per day by doing nothing the 5 cal per serving logic acutally makes scene you can burn them off by doing nothing throughout the day.

    In Canada, they stopped allowing companies calling their products "Milk" like Almond milk, cashew milk, oat milk as it is misleading and not actually milk which comes from an animal. The same should apply to this "honey" company as its not actually honey. Honey comes from bees, not a monk fruit syrup. Now those drinks are called 'Almond/cashew/oat beverage / juice'. This honey needs to be monk syrup.
