Yoakam is an all time great. It’s funny to think when he started he was widely considered an “outsider” to the genre and now he’s seen as a classic throwback to the genre. And he never wavered this whole time.

My eternal favorite thing about Dwight Yoakam is the fact that when he was first starting out he played a lot of hardcore/punk venues.
Her band nailed Dwight's Pete Anderson era sound.
