She gets all her confirmation from the internet, which actually can make an ED worse. She should be banned from all platforms imo, for her own sake. Time and time again I check her channel, just to see if she's still alive and that's just incredibly sad.
It's not an addiction. It's a mental breakdown of having some form of control. There's stuff going on behind the curtains.

I have a feeling she's working with doctors to keep her functioning at this weight without treating it. Otherwise, I don't think she would have the energy and be feeling well enoufg for all the stuff she does.
I used to have an ed and was in ed communities, people this underweight usually can not function like she is at this weight.
She has a naturally smaller bone structure too.

I don't think the money is what's upsetting to her. Being online IS her entire identity. She can't stop looking at herself and touching her hair. It's an addiction for her. the whole thing including reading and responding to comments

She has said numerous times that she is upset about losing money. Dont believe the hype. Every time she is live now which is not often since she can’t get gifts anymore, she goes on and on about how sad she is that she can’t get gifts looking for sympathy of viewers and any other person who joins her live. It is SO annoying and awkward for those people joining her on stream. She’s like a loop, says the same 6 or so sentences about how she is “doing her best trying to understand” and that makes no sense at all since she claims not to know why she is demonetized. She is well aware of why and she got a lot of notice many bans. She has even made comments like “ you can keep reporting me I’m just gonna keep coming back” and “I don’t need to recover guys”. She’s a grifter, a begger, and a terrible influence on young people and grown people alike. Do not feel sorry for her.

Yeh I just want to cry if I listen to my empathy on it too much. I wish I could just give her a hug but then I imagine how small she is and how much she hates herself. I deal with self loathing so I definitely feel for her. Only my compulsive behavior was heroin use, very similar process to recover tho. Lots of shame and embarrassment for months, i get why she wouldn’t want to do it online even if it would go viral with a capital V. It would break the internet. What’s wrong with her mother?!

She needs to permanently banned forever. She doesn’t need this fame because she’s doing it for views. There are people being way too nice to her. She doesn’t like it when someone point out her ED, yet she does nothing to change it. There are people who encourage this and these people are crazy. I hope they realize that she’s slowly dying and we have to stop it before she dies. Probably in no more than 10 years she’ll be dead since her body is very resilient and strong.

Honestly I have no sympathy anymore. I used to because I understand how devastating mental illness can be, but I don't care now. You become defensive, isolated and deflect. An Ed is a sympathetic and hard thing to understand and can also make the sufferer be perceived as unlikeable or self obsessed. Those two facts can co-exist.
You lead your life pretending it’s not a bigger problem then it is and jump into your distractions to dissociate.
All we have here is a person in their insular world. Her bubble where she plays with makeup and talks about things she likes and gets to pretend she has friends with random people that stitch her.
It’s sympathetic in the knowledge that she’s hopelessly addicted. Her identity has been fused with being online. She can’t be alone with her thoughts or without the internet as her crutch. That’s sad.
I see a Co-dependent and afraid person. The body is a separate thing. She would’ve been dissected and objectified no matter her weight, and all I see is the the person under it in a death fall.
Maybe I’m desensitized and the shock of her body isn’t glamorous thing for me.
My eating disorder was fuelled by much more complicated issues that I won’t scapegoat some sick girl online.

And her whiney hero worshiping nature she would probably try to cater to those guys who obviously already have power and dominance issues. Heck, some of her mods were known pedophiles. If they get off on watching a severely emaciated young woman try to wear herself out moving boxes, they would not have her best interest at heart and I don’t trust Eugenia’s intelligence and discernment to guide her away from such people. She’d fetch up dead. She needs to be in her right mind and develop even a modicum of self respect and self love before she’d be safe on her own. That’s just an opinion, though.

She and I used to tweet back in the day and often she liked my tweets because I was genuinely nice to her without telling her how to live or about her appearance. It wasn't until that one post in February a few years ago, that I had actually mentioned her muscles and bones were showing and I told her I was going to come and put her in inpatient treatment; Jaclyn Glenn saw my tweet and called Eugenia. Right after, she deleted the entire post including my tweet that started an entire drama filled dilemma. I just wanted to help her genuinely, but Jaclyn saw it as an opportunity to steal my idea and take it as her own trying to be some sort of savior for media sake. It was nothing more than a publicity stunt on her behalf and this is why Eugenia refuses to speak with her. Of course you know nothing about that because you aren't actually a part of the inner circle like I am. You're merely a nosey viewer who is tone deaf to the ED community; if you weren't, you wouldn't be parading around rudely commenting on comments you clearly can't read correctly and wouldn't be telling her to eat or mentioning *anything* about her weight. You would instead encourage positive thoughts and behavior that has nothing to do with food.
Do *not* talk at me as if you somehow know me or know who I know- you don't. Go find something constructive to do, like being an actual advocate. Not a keyboard warrior.

But what could I know, I've only been watching Eugenia Cooney since I was 13
i suffered with an ED in high school and i am now 22 years old and still struggle. i am 100% way better now than i ever was but there are definitely times where i think about starving myself, eating less etc. whenever people would tell me things like "you need to eat" "you are losing a lot of weight" "you need to gain weight" and a lot of other things, not only did i take it as encouragement but i would deny everything being said to me or ignore it. things that people said to me did not matter to me and it wouldn't get through to my head. i just ignored them and kept doing what i am doing. eugenia is deep into her eating disorder and going online telling her to get help, making videos of her, commenting on her videos to tell her she needs help isnt going to do anything. she is just going to ignore it and move on. when you have an ED, any comment that is in any way positive or fueling your ed is exactly what she is gonna look at. at the end of the day, the only way that she will be able to get help is from herself and the people in her personal lives. i had people in my life help me especially my now husband but ultimately it was all up to me to actually get help and to actually recover and restore my relationship with food and tell myself that food is fuel and make healthier choices. if she can not see within herself what i saw and what many people who suffer with an ed and recovered may see, then really she may not recover, i mean esp with how people online are. but at the end of the day all the hate and nasty comments she gets is not deserving. telling someone that her recovery would break or shock the internet isnt right. if she can not see within herself the damage she has caused herself and see that she needs to get better for herself, her mind, body and soul, then she may never recover until she sees it within herself. at least in my experience. i truly wish her the best and i do hope one day she will see herself within and realize that she wants to get better and will make a full recovery

is it anyway helpful to remind people with EDs the repercussions? i know it is a case by case basis, whether or not they deem it worth it, but still? brain damage, rotting teeth, kidney failure, heart issues, brittle bones, etc? could hope that maybe they wouldn’t strive to be this skinny at least, i am sure the issues just go deeper the less they weigh

My ex-husband had a relative with Ana who finally decided she wanted to live, she had a lightbulb moment. She was hospitalised and within a week died from refeeding syndrome. I honestly feel that there's no hope for Eugenia to recover and that's so incredibly sad. Her Mother should be charged and jailed for assault because by allowing her adult child to starve is a form of abuse.

Finally gives an update? This was almost a month ago if not already.......
I’ll never forget her real face after the filter sputtered that one time a few weeks ago. Her disorder has resulted in her demise. She has chosen not to begin healing in any way, shape, or form, and that’s fine. I don’t agree with it, and never will, but your body is your own to harm and heal. I think the word I’m looking for is disappointed?
She needs to get away from her mother. They need to be separated for a couple of months. It would change her life forever.
She’s SUCH a people pleaser, she never says anything to confront people even when they literally are being horrible to her. “I respect that” like girl, get mad. Show some humanity. She’s like a robot. It makes me sad, I am I’m recovery so I kind of get what she’s dealing with. It’s so shameful to confront your demons and then to do it publicly? Sounds awful.
Y'all need to go straight to heck. As someone 15 years sober from an ED, y'all have a lot of opinions without much compassion or knowledge. You even said she can't take responsibility. It's that she's not ready, not that she can't. No body is going to heal when everyone wants them to. Lol. You can't force someone to stop. They stop when they are ready or they are consumed by it. You don't get to take action or tear them down because you are a narcissist with a savior complex. All these things people say and do are really triggering for me to even read. She's almost 30 and can deal with her own problems when she wants to, most people who talk about her are of the mindset of worrying about the young girls watching her.

Honestly she used to be on my fyp on tik tok so much and ever since she got banned i hadn't seen or heard anything about her and it's been good for me but i suddenly thought of her after a while and wondered if she had died in the meantime, and i searched for news of her after not seeing anything about her im glad she's still alive, i am relieved but honestly it's been good not seeing her on my fyp.
It really set me back mentally i started trying to starve myself like i used to and it was messed up. Im glad tik tok did something about it, i hope she gets better now.
The thing nobody understands is that while she does this for a living, what she really wants is acceptance. With TikTok, she's found people that accept her and interact with her like a regular person. She's been out to Wyoming, and they all treated her well. She's had a life of being bullied and being made for of for being different. Say what you will about Jeffree, but he and the other people she met in Wyoming are still in her comments today. That is why she got upset and went to a bad mental place when she was restricted. She's always said that a person is more than whatever they struggle with. Sadly, acceptance won't cure her eating disorder, but it will put her in a better place mentally instead of going further into her disorder.
Also her narcissistic family (her mom) are the reason why she doesn't want to get out of social media, cause she might feel safer there than irl. She doesn't have any real friends or real support. People blame her but she has a very dysfunctional and toxic environment.

I was told it’s a common thing for people with Ed’s to also restrict water… they think it will make them feel bloated and it also gives them more of a sense of control. It’s gross and she needs to be cut off from all platforms. She’s too far gone for help and she has literally said many times that she “doesn’t need or want recovery”

She's had this mental disorder too long that she has devolved past the point where that can help. The point of that is to support the personality they had beforehand. It boosts their confidence in who they used to be, and sort of helps "bring them back", by engaging in things they used to enjoy before the disorder took over their lives. It pulls their attention away from new harmful activities to others activities that they're still familiar with, but aren't part of their disorder. Eugenia has no personality, no interests, no friends. Her parenting was so crap, they let her grow up to be an NPC with nothing BUT AN as a core characteristic. Now, I'm sure there are other methods for treating the mental part of this disorder in severe cases like this, I just don't know what they are. Of course, it's not even our job to "fix" her, but I know everyone wants to because they can't stand to see prolonged suffering. They just take those emotions of uncomfortable helplessness she makes them feel inside and put the energy toward tea channels, as an outlet for their own mental health, so I can't blame them too much. They have encountered a seemingly unfixable problem. It's her family that needs to be the ones implementing mental health techniques and helping her, or even people who get close enough to her to call her friend. Jaclyn Glenn is the only one I've ever seen attempt to do something. But for anything to work, EC has to submit, it's been said a million times. Nothing anybody does out here is going to change her.

Her entire life revolves around social media, damn, previous attention seeker here, til 1 year ago as i had noone in my life gimmy attention unless it BENEFITED (Used me) in some way. I now have a healthier relationship with myself (loving myself) so i need way less attention frm others. She s an addict who refuses treatment, a shame, but she s 💯 Responsible. Many have been abused by our parents but we seeked help,, put effort into it. I said it bfre, if i had that money 8-10 yrs ago when i was in same state mentally & phisically i would have checked myself to rehab, i had only 20000 in the bank & no more income stream so i figured that was to lil for rehab & save smth for afterwards. She s Responsible for her situation also, NOT only her fam /enablers.
I wish her well but in the end the only thing we can do is stop giving any attention to her. Best thing for her would be to get away from the online world and just live out whatever is left of her life offline. Maybe in that time she will find a reason to get better, maybe she won't. Either way its just a lot and makes me sad to see.
Did anyone see one of her YT videos she just posted? The one where she’s “stretching”? Yeah, she literally was showing off her skeletal body. She was watching herself making sure her bones were showing and popping out. It was so gross. Literally I felt nauseous. I k my watched like 2 minutes bc that’s all I could handle.
She knows what she’s doing. She wants that shock value. I suffered an ED too. And it will never leave me but I was fully aware of what I was doing and I lived the attention till it got out of hand and I started passing out

I am aware her content may be harmful for especially younger girls with ED predispositions, but I also see a girl that's mentally struggling and a bunch of people believing she must be punished for that. You know what it the most terrifying about her . . . that little girls look at her being oh so confident about such a damaged body for years and belive what she is saying, want to be like her and get hurt in the process . . . that woman is a tragedy and needs help not shame . . . all true and long overdue . . . Let me be clear: I don’t support banning someone for having an eating disorder, or for not disclosing their diagnosis. It’s not a crime to be mentally ill, and oversharing your mental health is super dangerous. People who do recovery content or talk about their past mental illness have to be in much better state than this. Plus, it’s not even comfortable. Nobody asks someone with schizophrenia to share that against their will. Nor do they do this with any physical illness. EDs get met with a lot of hate from the masses anywhere that isn’t a lifetime movie, or a celebrity platform, or a daytime talk show. She has probably gotten a lot of that when she was less of a public figure and doesn’t realize she would be seen as more sympathetic. So she should not have to disclose anything against her will.
However I do support banning someone for making covert fetish content on an all ages platform. I do support banning her for fetishizing herself for her mental illness, because you have to be mentally stable to make that kind of content even in appropriate platforms for it. You should never fetishize a mental illness. That is not a harmless fetish, but a red flag of predatory people. So she should also be banned for her own good, because she doesn’t know how unstable she is. You absolutely can’t accurately access yourself when you are this consumed by your mental health issues. She has tried to heal before and include her audience. It’s just too toxic of an environment whether she wants to admit it or not. She needs to take a year or two and just not be online. She needs to say ‘y’all can wait’ to everyone in her life while she fixes herself. She will not leave voluntarily because the hate and toxicity she gets is another self destructive vice for her, almost as significant as her ED at this point.

When I see her talk about how she misses her “friends” and she was sooooo worried that she would lose her friends this came to mind. Eugenia Cooney is in dire need of help. It breaks my heart to see her so thin. She's a beautiful young lady. But if she doesn't get help her only alternative is hospice. A human body can only survive so long before origns start shutting down. Her coughing on videos is very concerning to me because that might be a symptom that her heart is starting to fail.

Anorexia nervosa is a self inflicted eating disorder, and anorexia is brought on buy surgeries or illness, and is a side effect, which is not self inflicted.
